Mimi. One of the combat-type Artificial Spirit rabbits. She was apparently human once, but she has no memories beyond fighting enemies, so there’s nothing left for her to remember.
But now, she’s happy. She thought about how glad she was to become Boss’s underling as she dozed off inside her nest. Curled up, snuggled against Boss, swaying gently, which lulled her to sleep.
“What are you getting so comfortable for, you idiot?!”
“Guh! Bro! Kicking me out of nowhere is harsh!”
Hearing Boss’s angry shout and a familiar man’s voice, Mimi poked her head out of the nest. She thought it was night, but apparently, it was daytime. And this wasn’t a nest, it was inside a hoodie.
There was a vast farm outside. Over 100 square kilometers of fields stretched out, with drones plowing and harvesting the crops. Cows were mooing lazily as they grazed, and sheep bleated gently. It was a peaceful scene.
“Look, I’m doing my best to manage the farm I was put in charge of!”
“Mogu, mogu!”
A man named Guy, if she remembered right, had a mole spirit perched on his shoulder, and it was making “mogu, mogu!” noises. Wait, was “mogu” the mole spirit? Oh well, either way is fine.
“You were just relaxing under a parasol, sitting in a summer chair, drinking coffee.” (Lanpeach)
Boss’s voice turned cold, his eyes narrowed as he spoke, while Guy, shrugging, spread his arms wide with a satisfied smile.
“Ya just don’t get it, do ya? Doesn’t this scene seem familiar? It was in one of the game’s stills.” (Guy)
Guy reclined in a summer chair, sipping coffee that wafted steam, wearing a soft, grandfatherly smile as he gazed out over his ranch.
Guy’s wish had finally been fulfilled. From here on, there was no need to fight anymore. He would just farm and live his life. He leaned back in the summer chair, leaving the bloody battles behind him.
[Powder of Element: Guy’s Ending]
The End
“Rururu, mogu, mogu.”
“A still? Wait! It’s Guy’s ending scene! I can even see the credits! Yeah, that’s definitely Guy’s ending scene!” (Lanpeach)
Boss staggered backwards in surprise. It felt like something strange had just appeared in front of his eyes.
“Right? I’ve achieved my goal. From now on, I’ma manage this place with the Dragon King.” (Guy)
Guy gazed up at the sky with a gentle smile, radiating the atmosphere of a retired old man.
“For real? You didn’t even defeat the final boss.” (Lanpeach)
“Didn’t ya guys take care of that? That seed from the botanical garden was my final boss.” (Guy)
“… That was the final boss? For real? So the final boss in the beta version was different…?” (Lanpeach)
Guy said it like it was obvious, while Boss muttered to himself, his expression turning thoughtful.
“Yeah, that does sound like a final boss for Guy. But actually… Wait, what was Guy’s final boss again…? I can’t remember.” (Lanpeach)
Boss tilted his head, a puzzled look on his face, while Mimi nibbled on the ends of his hair, trying to help him in some way. Calm down, Boss~.
Grooming helps rabbits relax.
“Ya seriously forgot? Well, since we’ve hit the ending scene, I’ve decided to live here. I’m done with bloody worlds. Oh, looks like the drones finished plowing the fields. Humans have to do the final check, so I’ma be off now.” (Guy)
Guy carried a hoe and headed for the fields with the Dragon King at his side, wearing a serene expression. His steps were steady, and it was clear he would never return to the battlefield again.
“So we’ve cleared the Guy arc?! Eh, seriously?” (Lanpeach)
“That guy’s not lying, Soldier. He’s speaking from the heart.” (Libra)
“Well, even if he’s sneaky, his dream of running a farm was genuine. Now that drones do all the work, and all he has to do is manage it, you could say his dream came true.” (Lanpeach)
The innocent Artificial Spirit girl standing next to Boss spoke as she looked back at Guy. Though she had no soul, she had developed strange self-awareness, like a human. She seemed to be growing, but what exactly…?
“Well, since Guy-san is a professional at managing farms, I think we can safely leave it to him, Lan.” (Chihiro)
Chihiro, standing on the other side, hugged Boss’s arm, smiling cheerfully. But it looked like she was keeping a wary eye on Libra, who grinned mischievously as she pressed her chest against Boss’s other arm. The tension between them escalated as they both clung to Boss like koalas hugging a tree.
“Ugh… so Guy’s dropping out here, huh? Well, I guess we can just call him if anything happens.” (Lanpeach)
Boss reluctantly decided not to chase after Guy. It’s fine, Mimi’s still here, even if the spirit warrior is gone. Nibble, nibble, nibble.
“Wow! Old Man, look at the sky! There’s a farm up in the clouds too! Wow, so this is the colony’s grand farm!” (Touka)
“Yeah, amazing. With this, can fill the bellies of the entire Surface District.” (Dry)
Touka ran around excitedly like a dog taken out for a walk, and Dry expressed her admiration in a calm voice.
Not only did the vast farm stretch out before them, but when they looked up, they could see another expansive farm, like a green carpet, spread out above the clouds.
Yes, this was the colony’s grand farm.
A teleport portal installed at the Lanpeach Complex allowed travel only between the grand farm and the terminal. Only those deemed safe were allowed to use the portal.
The terminal had been transformed into a tourist attraction, with products being converted into everyday items for regular citizens. The grand farm would now be busy transporting crops.
The merchant rabbits, thrilled by the news of many customers arriving, were hopping around excitedly.
“Everything here can only be bought with Elemetal currency, so the Hunter Guild’s going to be bustling.”
“Indeed. The entry fee for the Hunter Guild’s exam is only 1,000 Elemetals. That’s basically pocket money, so they must be lining up for registration by now.”
“The Explorer Guild is going to have its hands full. Especially with the currency change coming, many will see an opportunity.”
The commander, munching on a taiyaki from a bag, chuckled mischievously. Clearly, he was thinking, “This is going to be a huge profit, no doubt about it. Guaranteed in the black.”
“Uh, Stepbrother? No one has any Elemetals, so what are you going to do? No one can take the exam.” (Nono)
“…Let’s exchange 10,000 Ele for one Elemetal.” (Lanpeach)
“That’s a rip-off!” (Nono)
Boss grinned mischievously at Nono’s words and raised his index finger after thinking for a moment. Not sure what’s going on, but, well, whatever.
The breeze blowing through the grand farm carried the scent of greenery, gently brushing against Mimi’s fur. Boss’s hair, which Mimi had slobbered on, was sticky and rough now, though.
“I’m sleepy… Good night~” (Mimi)
Thinking about how peaceful the world was, Mimi yawned and curled up in the hoodie, falling asleep. Peace is the best. Mimi is happy.
◇◇
It was completely dark when Mimi blinked open her eyes. It seemed to be midnight already. Boss must have carried her here. She found herself sleeping in Boss’s bed. The other rabbits had gathered and were snoozing peacefully.
Libra, Chihiro, and Koume were all sound asleep too, the room completely still. Boss, covered in rabbit fur, seemed to be sweating and struggling in his sleep.
Though the night seemed peaceful, Mimi felt something was off. She yawned and hopped out of bed.
A few other rabbits were awake too, but they looked drowsy, their eyes half-closed. Putting her soft paws on the floor, she quietly made her way into the hallway and began to trot along.
She ran down the empty hallway in this silent world cloaked in darkness and came to a halt.
The room she looked up at was labeled “Teleport Portal Plaza.” She carefully opened the door a crack and slipped inside, without making a sound.
Inside, where only silence should have reigned in the dead of night, a few humans were there. Dressed in all black, even their backpacks were pitch black.
They were crouched in front of the teleport portal, taking something out of their backpacks.
“Planted the first one.”
“Second one’s good to go.”
Each of them planted a lunchbox-shaped object on the teleport portals and nodded at each other.
“It’s a mistake for the Underground District to try and meddle with the Surface District now. We don’t need more food; a shortage is just right.”
“It’d be faster to blow up this whole complex.”
“That’s too dangerous. Alright, let’s get some distance from here, and then we’ll blow it up.”
It sounded like someone was talking, but about what? So sleepy…
Even without talking with her comrades, their minds were connected. She exchanged a brief glance and then focused on the humans.
Her round, red eyes glinted, identifying them as enemies.
The enemy, trying to leave, disappeared from sight. It seems they used magic to conceal themselves and sneak this far. The current security level was pretty low, so they wouldn’t be detected unless they made a hostile move.
The enemy moved without a sound or presence, attempting to slip past Mimi and the others and exit.
However, Mimi and the others swiftly pulled pistols from their Dimension Pouches. In a smooth motion, they aimed and pulled the trigger.
A beam of light shot through the air with a soft chuun sound. Blood splattered in midair. The enemy’s head was struck, electrocuting them as they collapsed.
“Wa?! What the—?! Since when were Artificial Spirits here?”
The enemy, who hadn’t noticed Mimi and the others at all, revealed himself, his face contorted in shock. It seems he had narrowly avoided the shot, as only a shallow cut remained on his cheek.
“Dispose of them! They’re just Artificial Spirits after a—?!”
The enemy captain attempted to give orders to his subordinates, but his words faltered, and his eyes widened.
His subordinates had all been shot through the head, lying dead. They might have been elite soldiers, but ultimately, they were only human. The fact that he had avoided death was a miracle in itself. The girl targeting him had been dozing off, clearly sleepy.
“Tch! So we’ve been caught off guard! But I can kill a few rabbits by myself!”
[Thousand Slashes]
The enemy drew a knife and activated a skill. He launched countless slashes with intricate movements, aiming to cut down Mimi and the others.
The captain smirked. This was likely his most confident, lethal technique. But in the next moment, his eyes widened, and his face twisted.
Mimi and the others had used his slashes as footholds, hopping from one to the next as they closed in on him.
“Using my slashes as footholds?!”
“Eii.”
Mimi and the others pressed the muzzle of their guns against the captain and casually pulled the trigger.
◇
After cleaning up the bodies of their defeated enemies and disarming the bombs, Mimi returned to Boss’s room.
She slowly climbed up onto Boss’s face, pressing against it and closing her eyes. Today was peaceful too. Hopefully, tomorrow will be just as peaceful.
And with that, Mimi drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

A peaceful day. Peace is the best. Nothing of import happened here today. Just a boring peaceful day (of murder). Move along.
