Krishna is a transmigrator. He’s a boy who used to play Powder of Element, a nostalgic game that’s no longer trendy but is ruled by a level system.
He has knowledge of how to conquer this world. He played through it once, following a strategy guide. He ignored most of the side quests and went for the shortest route to clear the game just as the strategy guide stated. So, while he’s not an expert, it still gives him a significant advantage.
His last memory before reincarnation is hazy; he doesn’t remember much of the moment he died. He has a vague recollection of being a NEET, playing games all the time. And his reincarnation into this world happened last summer.
His parents were apparently killed by monsters, leaving him all alone, and he ended up here after trying to take his own life by drinking a poison potion.
Waking up in bed, with a suicide note beside him and an empty potion bottle, Krishna didn’t understand the situation at first. But one look in the mirror made it all clear… He had reincarnated as a powerful protagonist from Powder of Element, Krishna!
He had no memories, so being completely alone was actually convenient. His parents had left him a hefty inheritance, too.
He began his journey to enjoy this world with the admission letter from the magic academy in hand. He planned to live a fun life full of wealth, power, and women.
Even though he wasn’t aiming to create a harem -partly because he didn’t think he could handle one- he ended up boosting the affection levels of the girls around him by giving them expensive gifts, taking them on dates, and chatting with them every day. But, somehow, this earned him the reputation of a shallow, womanizing playboy.
While this world felt like a game at first, turning into reality brought its own complexities. But Krishna was on the path to becoming the strongest now. Yes, he was moving forward on that path!
“You’re off to take down that mad scientist, Yarita Masakatsu, right?” (Krishna)
“Yeah… I can’t forgive forbidden experiments after all.”
Krishna asked the sunglasses-wearing man, Michibiki, as they ran through the corridor, and he responded curtly.
Michibiki had the vibe of a silent, cool agent, and the beautiful girl running beside him was likely his partner. Her chest bounced noticeably as she ran. Isn’t that shaking proof that she had no bra?
Her name being Boing (probably fake since the girl herself got angry at that name) was fitting. Krishna jumped occasionally as he ran, wondering if he could get a peek inside.
“What organization are you guys from?” (Krishna)
“Who knows? I forget. It changes depending on who pays the most.” (Michibiki)
The cool man laughed mockingly, his nonchalant response adding to his mysterious allure. Krishna couldn’t recall such a cool character from the game, so he figured this guy must be a native of this world. There were plenty of unexpected things in this world, so it wasn’t a big surprise.
“Well, you saved my life, so I’ll help you out.” (Krishna)
“Great. Just focus on taking down the enemies.” (Michibiki)
Perched on Krishna’s shoulder was Dragonfly, a green-bodied Spirit with translucent wings and glowing compound eyes. Even if it is an insect, it was one of the most useful Spirits in the game, and Krishna had grown rather fond of it over time.
“Hey, hey, I heard you’re too scared to fight and spend all your time hiding. Is that true?”
The sexy girl spoke to him, so Krishna, sneaking glances at her chest and grinning, responded smoothly. He had never talked to such a sexy girl before, let alone one with silver twin-tails. It made him feel the god of this world knows the concept of pretty girls and was moved by it.
“That was just during winter. I’ve long since overcome that fear, hahaha.” (Krishna)
In truth, he was still a bit scared, but he is somewhat fine.
He had poured a ton of money into upgrading his spirit armor and, at this rate, he’d end up penniless, so the circumstances didn’t allow him to be scared.
He kept it a secret from Guy, since he didn’t trust him, but his heart urged Krishna to tell him, so he ended up doing it. It is the fault of his faltering heart. He probably had some sort of hypnotic power.
The reason why he kept it a secret from Guy was because he is too clever while pretending to be a clueless country bumpkin. Krishna’s guard was at max. He did use Guy for odd jobs like a slave though. Dome level of friendship had developed, but Krishna never loosened his guard.
“Anyway, leave it to me. Maybe you could stealthily give me your contact info later?” (Krishna)
Krishna brushed back his hair with a confident smile, feeling sure of himself. And then…
“Moguuu!”
Suddenly, a mole popped out of the floor, holding a glowing orb in its paw.
“Kukuku, well done, Dragon King. This is what I was looking for.” (Krishna)
“What’s that? A gem?” (Boing)
“This is the Diamond of Happiness that was locked in the vault. I got myself captured on purpose just to get my hands on this.” (Krishna)
Krishna revealed his plan with no hesitation, clearly smitten by the girl in front of him. His gaze remained firmly fixed on her chest for a while now.
“That’s the item that maxes out weapon upgrades, right? So, it was hidden here…” (Michibiki)
“That sounds amazing! Eh, but why does this mole have it?” (Boing)
“I brought Dragon King with me so it could sneak into the vault. I ordered him to steal this item when the vault door opened. Guy was supposed to come and rescue me. Looks like that didn’t happen though.” (Krishna)
Krishna took out the Rusty Spirit Armor from his item box, touching it with the Diamond of Happiness. The armor shone brightly, and the rusty plating turned into platinum. The Spirit armor, now radiating with mana, glowed as Krishna proudly donned it with a faint smile.
“Fufufu, do you realize the power of this spirit armor? With this, I’ve become invincible.” (Krishna)
[Spirit Armor of Glory: Defense 160, Base Stats Fixed at 80, Auto-Revive, Status Immunity, Auto-Regen.]
“That’s kind of a waste. I think it would have been better to power up a weapon instead.” (Michibiki)
“This spirit armor auto-revives the wearer once per day upon death, makes me immune to any status effects, and is one of the best in the world, you know? I’m invincible now. Let’s go!” (Krishna)
Krishna, beaming with pride, showed off the spirit armor to Michibiki, who wore a somewhat unimpressed expression.
(Hehe, they may not get it, but this armor is the strongest in the world! With this, I’ve got the stats of a superhuman, and no one can stop me now. If I combine it with Element Fusion, there’s no need to fear death anymore!) (Krishna)
Krishna noticed that both Michibiki and the girl seemed to have mixed reactions, but he chalked it up to them not understanding the full extent of his power.
(Now it’s my turn to show this poser and Boing-chan what I’m capable of! Fuhihi, I can already picture their shocked faces as they witness my overwhelming strength. My journey starts here!) (Krishna)
Krishna charged forward with that confidence, soon reaching a large metal door. It looked like a vault, but he knew it was actually the entrance to a research lab.
“I assume you’ve got the security card by now. Use it on that reader!” (Krishna)
“Ah, right.” (Michibiki)
Michibiki casually tapped the card reader with his index finger. The light turned green, and the door began to unlock.
“Hm??? What about the card?” (Krishna)
Krishna remembered how difficult it was to obtain that card. He had to complete several tasks for the security guards, save the life of a casino dealer, and more. Yet, Michibiki didn’t seem to have used a card at all.
“I hacked it.” (Michibiki)
Michibiki replied calmly.
“Is…Is that even possible?” (Krishna)
(Hacking wasn’t in the game though??? W-Well, I guess this is reality. That must explain it.) (Krishna)
Krishna was somewhat unconvinced, but there was still an issue.
“The next part is iris recognition. You should use the fake eye you got from defeating the village chief who was the subordinate of Yarita Masakatsu.” (Krishna)
Again, Michibiki simply tapped the iris scanner. A small beep followed, and the door began to rumble as it opened.
Krishna looked at this, dumbstruck.
“I hacked it.” (Michibiki)
Michibiki replied calmly.
“Uh… right.” (Krishna)
The village chief of a now ruined village was a pretty tough spider chimera prototype boss, but Michibiki had apparently bypassed the need to fight him.
Once the door fully opened, it revealed a room with the floor and ceiling shining light, so intensely illuminated that it hurt to look at.
“Wait here for a bit. As soon as one person enters this room, a trap will activate, isolating them.” (Krishna)
Krishna knew that a chimera would appear, and that it had to be defeated in a one-on-one fight. In the game, you’d gather information and choose which party member would enter to face the beast.
Krishna assumed that in real life…no, that these people haven’t gathered that info. He decided to step up and show off his strength.
Just as expected, as soon as he entered, reinforced glass came down, trapping him inside. From the opposite door, a chimera entered, initiating the battle.
“What, what? All I have to do is take down this guy, huh? Looks like some weak punk. Want me to strangle you to death?”
As expected, a large man entered, wearing nothing but tattered cloth.
“Hah, Masakatsu Copy, aren’t you?! You’re no match for me.” (Krishna)
[Element Fusion]
Krishna fused with Dragonfly, flashing a sly grin as he drew two long swords. He had no intention of losing in a one-on-one fight. This opponent was equivalent to a Star 6 and quite strong, but Krishna was confident he could win now.
“Come on, bring it!” (Krishna)
“What, what? All I have to do is take down this guy, huh? Looks like some weak punk. Want me to strangle you to death?”
“What, what? All I have to do is take down this guy, huh? Looks like some weak punk. Want me to strangle you to death?”
“What, what? All I have to do is take down this guy, huh? Looks like some weak punk. Want me to strangle you to death?”
“Huh?” (Krishna)
Krishna was stunned as a crowd of identical Masakatsu copies started pouring in through the door.
“Wait, how many of them are there?” (Krishna)
What was supposed to be a one-on-one fight had quickly escalated, with about 30 enemies appearing.
[Chimera Transformation]
The Masakatsu copies began to swell and transform into grotesque, skinless creatures made entirely of muscle…each of them as strong as a Star 6 enemy.
“This is bad! Michibiki-san, open the door, hurry—eeeeh?!” (Krishna)
Krishna, pale-faced, turned to see Michibiki and Boing slipping through a small hidden door. Boing waved at Krishna as they both disappeared inside.
“Wait, there’s a backdoor? You should’ve told me—” (Krishna)
“I’m gonna grind you into minced meat!”
“No way!” (Krishna)
Krishna screamed as the Masakatsu copies charged at him, starting the battle.
Oof. Can’t say he didn’t deserve that. He should’ve understood reality was different from the game already
