MV – Chapter 51: Spirit Weapon and Minor Villain

The true treasure is in the mountain of scraps. 

It seems like Guy doesn’t know about the hidden event, so he played the fool and gave him the dummy that is the Rusted Spirit Armor. 

He was confident that he didn’t know. 

As expected of a minor villain. Doing such smart underhanded things is right up his alley. 

It may be a bit weird to describe it as smart. It would be better to say it is petty.

Libra peeked at his face as if seeing something strange. She was questioning this for a while now, so she told him what she had deduced herself.

“A part? Not all? I think of this world as a game world, so I can act like a god.” (Lanpeach)

Lanpeach found this strange and frowned. 

Wouldn’t you normally object if you were told that your world is a game world?

[Well, if your mind is stable by thinking that, I don’t really have anything to say about it. Nihihi~.] (Libra)

Libra laughed suggestively, spun, and danced. Her shrine maiden clothes fluttered, cute to a fascinating degree. 

She is a little devil. She was not mentioning what Lanpeach was bothered by.

Libra places a finger on the corner of her eye and acts as if she is crying. Of course, her lips were curled into a smirk.

The immature Lanpeach protested half seriously, but Libra easily stopped teasing him, put her index finger below her chin, and answered.

[The Earth Library was created before the Space Library. It is currently an artificial knowledge storage that doesn’t exist. It is on the surface world, observes the many events on Earth, and…its humanity strengthening system was certainly the old type.] (Libra)

“The level system?” (Lanpeach)

[Yeah, the past version was the type that absorbed energy from the spirits that were defeated. Your soul and body will change as you absorb spirit energy, making it possible to utilize the skills in the knowledge, and powering you up. You automatically learn skills according to the suitability of the person. It is similar but not the same as your growth, Soldier.] (Libra)

“Hooh. That sounds strong. Level system, huh. That’s why the basic skills didn’t change. I would have preferred that.” (Lanpeach)

He would only get 1 or 2 EXP from defeating enemies. It would most likely be the same even if he were to defeat a fast and sturdy metal enemy. 

If it were a level system, he could have brought a whole ton of holy water and defeated those metal enemies. 

He was jealous, but…

“Hm? Then where are my experience points coming from?” (Lanpeach)

He thought that was weird and furrowed his brows at Libra.

[Yup, the spirit energy absorption model can install the knowledge and skill factors, but there is a limit to the strengthening of the human soul and body. That’s why the Space Library is attaching that from the outside. The strengthening is supported directly by the Space Library, granting more malleability, remodeling the body and soul, and making it so that it can have a resistance towards the inhuman level… Or more like, that’s its objective. The support character voiced an uncomfortable comparison.

The difference in strength between a modified human and a trained human is way too different.

You certainly do get only 1 or 2 EXP. 

You would need several hundreds of times more effort to awaken the skill factor automatically if you were to do it normally. 

“……What’s the energy source?” (Lanpeach)

Lanpeach felt like this was going to turn into a grand matter and made a complicated expression. 

Libra laughed with an ‘ufufu’. It seems like she wants to say it so much, she can’t help it. The type that really wants to spill the beans.

The shrine maiden even voiced a sound effect and pointed with a smug face. 

But he couldn’t really get it. 

“Fate energy sounds fishy. What does that mean?” (Lanpeach)

“I see. I don’t really get it, but I kind of get the gist of it. So it is more efficient than absorbing the spirit energy of that place. But doesn’t that mean you know the future?” (Lanpeach)

“About that… The Space Library has been destroyed and has been severed from the network, so it can only tell from conjectures. Let’s just say it is unknown as of present.] (Libra)

“Then it is the win of the Lanpeach law in this game world. I am enjoying my 6th playthrough in this game after all.” (Lanpeach)

Lanpeach looked around the mountain of scraps and stopped, wondering if it was around there, and stared at the sky.

Lanpeach suddenly began chanting like a buddhist prayer. He would look like a dangerous individual from the outside.

Nothing was happening, so Libra was making something happen. 

[Anyone would think that if you are chanting like a madman while searching! Is there a veterinarian nearby~?] (Libra)

Libra was treating Lanpeach like an animal. 

Lanpeach suspected that maybe this girl really bases her identity with teasing people.

The moment he was about to tell Libra with a smug face, a fierce gale raged as if exploding, making him roll, and crash face first onto the scraps. 

That appearance of his where only his lower half is poking out from the scraps was fitting of a minor villain. 

Libra, who is always laughing, has thrusted her upper half into the scraps at the side of Lanpeach, so you could see they got along. 

Wind raged in that time as well, scattering rubble, and violent wind blew like a tornado.

The rusted and broken machine world was a world that didn’t even have soil, and yet, the source point has changed into a flower field. 

It is just around 1.5 square meters, but a gentle breeze blew and the flowers swayed.

The voice of a frail girl like the chime of a bell, glossy black hair like the feathers of a crow, deep black eyes, and a beautiful face that looked a bit rebellious. 

A small girl was floating on top of the flower field.

Lanpeach raised his voice at the unexpected event.

The black hair girl slowly faced Lanpeach and sighed. 

[Accomplishing the request safely, cheaply, and with certainty. You adjusted the warp of spirit energy today, savior of the world. I am the support Divine Spirit that observes Earth, Mira.] 

She puffed her chest out and bent her back upwards so much she ended up rolling down backwards. Looks like she is a bit of a clutz. 

[I will manifest as your support for the remaining 45,000 Exp if you accept now. I can do all the simple jobs like production, administration, and even the management of your storage unlike that ero exclusive support over there for you who is a loner that has no comrades.] (Mira)

Mira gets up as if nothing happened. She talks with confidence about how she will do all the management of the cash and items. 

“Support character?! Seriously? There was a support character?” (Lanpeach)

(I didn’t know. So there was a support character here!) (Lanpeach)

[Gyaaa! There’s a support character right here! You must not, Soldier. Being a support is my duty!] (Libra)

Libra must not have known either, she got teary and jumped at Mira, but…

“Sorry, but I don’t have 45,000 Exp.” (Lanpeach)

[Thank you for your patronage. Please save Exp and money and come again.] (Mira)

When he answered like this, she easily waved her hand with a bye bye and disappeared.

Libra smiled and gave him a thumbs up. 

She was praising him with eyes sparkling. But it wasn’t a joke. 

“…Seriously? In that case, this land will become an incredibly precious land! Let’s go quickly, Libra!” (Lanpeach)

[Roger~.] (Libra)

Lanpeach ran off with a pale white face and she hugged his shoulder. She was feeling threatened here, so she was being more physical than normal. 

After the two of them left, a refreshing wind began to blow like a prairie, the monsters began to disappear like air, and the flower field and petals swayed with the breeze.
