There was an exhausted adventurer party there.
They had finished their job and thought they finally could turn off their switch, but they now look like a salaryman that suddenly had unexpected overtime that he has to do together with a superior that he isn’t that acquainted with -that’s the kind of completely sorrowful and exhausted figure they were showing.
They may have gone to a shallower area than usual, but they were apparently together with Haku-san and the group of the Bronzeman Company, so Birgit must have had a packed day as well.
…It isn’t an exaggeration to say there isn’t a single adventurer that can be rude to the Bronzeman Company.
Thanks for the hard work.
“Hey there, sorry for the wait.” (Makoto)
“Raidou-dono.”
“Ah, everyone, just stay as you are. You must be tired. I don’t mind if you stay standing Falz-san, ah, so you will be sitting. Go ahead.” (Makoto)
“Geez, you are so cold just because I asked for you to do a troublesome job, Raidou-kun.” (Root)
Argh.
Because you responded to me in such a nonchalant way…see? Everyone from Birgit is once again looking at me as if they were looking at a strange wondrous person.
I bow lightly mostly to Bir and his party members, and take a seat.
“How was your day? I heard a bit of it from Haku-san, but she said that the current state of things is that Baretta-san…or more like, the stance of the tamer type jobs is bad, right?” (Makoto)
The matter of the naming and all should be dealt with tomorrow on.
But the matter of a shared understanding with the demonic beast might be a point that’s hard to reach an agreement to.
Baretta is a guy that is having a strange experience in Tsige, but he holds the regular values of a hyuman.
“That person is clearly a tamer on a whole different level, and her way of treating the demonic beasts as well as her way of fighting are completely different from ours, and honestly, it was a day filled with shocks for me.” (Baretta)
Is what Baretta says.
It is surprising how he isn’t that persistent about his own opinions and his own achievements.
Him conquering one bad point of hyumans makes it easier for us and that’s good.
Not all prospects of the future are grim with him.
“So it seems. Having formed a master disciple relationship, I think there will be many instances for change though… Is there a problem?” (Makoto)
“About that part, not that much…just that…” (Baretta)
“Just that…?” (Makoto)
Now that I think about it, I don’t see the bear here.
No, it would be troubling if they were to bring him into a normal reception room of a company, I know.
But because of the nature of the request I have given to them, it is okay for the bear to be present as well.
This place isn’t made so feebly that it would collapse with that much weight, is what the eldwas told me with full confidence.
“By request of Tiara…no, Redhell-chan, we went around looking for jewels that would serve as his room, but they were all so expensive.” (Baretta)
“…”
Ti…eh, Redhell?
Did this boy just say something crazy all casually?
“According to him, the comfort inside is completely different. But their prices vary, and their durability doesn’t change much. If it stays like this, I won’t be able to get my own equipment no matter how much time passes…” (Baretta)
Could it possibly be that…
Haku-san said it too.
That the name Tiara was creating a clear rift between these two.
I think so too.
It was a way too one-sided naming.
It would be like me naming Mio as Spider-san.
Right, even I can tell that this is no good.
Is that really something Baretta can’t tell?
Or maybe…that’s a byproduct of the rift that’s hard to close between races.
“I went to the guild just recently, and in just one day, I classed up from Beast Cruiser to Beast Carrier. In terms of power growth, it is exactly what I wish and more, but I haven’t done the preparations for it and my livelihood is in disarray right now. I will refrain from my tea utensil collecting hobby for a while, but I can’t make my beauty salon visits just once a month.” (Baretta)
“…”
Class up.
Umu.
It is that.
It will be a sad notice for Haku-san, but…this boy has done it.
Moon Grizzly, you are not Tiara anymore but Redhell-chan, huh.
…I honestly can’t tell which one is better.
But they really stray from the right path a lot.
Haku-san will be with them, so I am sure the next one will be a decent name…
“Raidou-san?” (Baretta)
“…”
“Raidou-san! Do you have any good ideas for the jewels?!” (Baretta)
“…A-Aah, right. Uhm, Baretta-san…” (Makoto)
“Yes?” (Baretta)
“If I remember correctly, that bear was really opposed to the name Tiara.” (Makoto)
“Yes, but we have dealt with it now. I changed the name to Redhell as soon as the class-up was over!” (Baretta)
“Redhell.” (Makoto)
“To be more specific, Redhell-chan. I myself think Tiara is by far a cuter and better name, but this is a matter of whether the person themselves likes it. I will ask for his opinion tomorrow, but I am sure he will be happy too!” (Baretta)
Again without consulting.
Or more like, does every single one in Birgit have abysmal naming sense?
Or are they naming warriors?
Are they the type that die if they don’t assemble together and propose destructive names?
I look at their faces.
Falz was laughing.
No, to be more precise, he is holding in his laughter.
I don’t think of Redhell as a weird name.
Just that, it isn’t a name you put on someone, and definitely not one you put ‘-chan’ on, and it is more of an intense nickname for a bright red pro baseball team.
Bir and the others averted their gaze.
Looks like they understood this is reckless.
But maybe they couldn’t stop it, or didn’t make it in time.
Maybe they couldn’t confront him because they aren’t that close with each other.
It seems like regret remains in them.
So Baretta is the type that goes out of control, huh.
“You are troubled by the high cost of jewels, huh.” (Makoto)
“Yes. It seems like the Kuzunoha Company doesn’t deal directly with jewels, but I thought that maybe you would have an idea.” (Baretta)
“I will investigate that a bit. I will then give you a number of jewels that he judges are comfortable, and give you a number of jewels that we have thrown away.” (Makoto)
“Got it!” (Baretta)
Aah, this really is bad nature.
Only his response is a smile and refreshing, and he can change when hammered, but he doesn’t understand it.
Truly bad natured.
“Aah…Bir-san and the others as well. I think you will continue having a hard time for a bit more, but this has a high chance to bring benefits to Tsige as a whole. I will properly communicate this to Alpine and the Cleaner, so do your best.” (Makoto)
“…We get it. We do think we have to repay this debt. I swear to my katana that I will fulfill this request sincerely.” (Bir)
“Thanks.” (Makoto)
Looks like it has dealt a good amount of mental damage.
Right!
Let’s relieve some of their stress by giving them some steamy fresh out of the oven information.
“Falz-san.” (Makoto)
“Yes yes?” (Root)
“About the matter you asked from me the other day, mind if I report it here?” (Makoto)
“Eh, already?!” (Root)
“Roughly. I will submit detailed documents at a later date. However, it was important information for the adventurers too. Since there’s the chance, I wanted to tell everyone in Birgit as well.” (Makoto)
“…Hmm, okay. Let’s hear about it.” (Root)
I don’t know what scheme crossed his mind, but he thought about it for a bit, and nodded.
“First, about the Double Job.” (Makoto)
“Yes?.” (Root)
“It was actually the second ability of the Origin Knight.” (Makoto)
“!”
“And it seems like he added that function to the Adventurer Guild. The effect is purely as the name states. If you fulfill the conditions, the adventurer can have a second Job, with no demerits attached to it.” (Makoto)
“…I see. So that’s how it was. Have the conditions been clarified?” (Root)
“There’s no doubt it is by maxing the Job Tree including the Skills in it.” (Makoto)
“! Right. Dio’s Job may be rare, but it is related to the Novice Job.” (Root)
“Regarding Eren Novice, it is a choice that appears when you purposely extend the class up of a Novice. Its main trait is that you can obtain many initial Job Skills from a variety of Jobs.” (Makoto)
“And then there’s Rotsgard and his situation… I see, the logic is there. Even so, you have to max even the Skills, huh. No wonder there hasn’t been anyone who has managed to do it until now…” (Root)
Root…no, the head of the Adventurer Guild, Falz, was mumbling as he seemed to be turning his gears.
“Uhm…Raidou-san…” (Git)
“What’s the matter, Git-san?” (Makoto)
“What’s this about Double Job…?” (Git)
“As you can see, it is a request from the Guildmaster. There’s a young man who had Double Job show up in their adventurer card. And so, we are helping out with that.” (Makoto)
“The condition is to max the Job Tree, right? There’s nothing else aside from that, right?”
“Right.” (Makoto)
This discovery might become really good news for the people that have unique Jobs or have reached the peak of their Job Tree.
For Bigit that is composed mostly of Rare Jobs, this is quite the high valued information.
“Then, could it be that if I were to use all my Skills a whole lot and master them…” (Git)
“You can start anew with another Job.” (Makoto)
““?!””
Everyone from Birgit had their eyes wide open.
The possibility of growth without any demerits.
That has suddenly shown up in front of them, so this reaction can’t be helped.
“R-R-R-R-R-R-Raidou-dono…” (Bir)
“Yes, Bir-san?” (Makoto)
“Does that mean that if I were to reach the peak of my path right now, I would be able to choose the path of the Black Hakama too?!” (Bir)
“Yeah, mastering the double sword style wouldn’t be a dream.” (Makoto)
“D-Double sword style?! What’s with that line-up of words that stimulate all the right places?!” (Bir)
Ranai-san and Akos-san seem to also be in their own dreamworld about their own styles. Their words grew fewer, but their eyes were clearly shining in excitement.
“Raidou-san.”
“?”
Within all that, a voice that was distanced from excitement and was filled with surprise called me.
Baretta?
It doesn’t seem like he called me because he heard about the Double Job talk.
What is it?
“You said Dio just now? The Rotsgard Dio.” (Baretta)
“Ah, eh? Did I?” (Makoto)
No, I didn’t.
The one who did was Root.
He was also the one who said Rotsgard.
But my mind narrowed down to one phrase that has troubled me countless times before.
‘This is a small world’.
It really is small at times.
“He is here? In Tsige? The Dio that left the Aion Kingdom and went to Rotsgard?!” (Baretta)
I get it.
He is talking about that very same Dio.
“If you want to hear about it in detail, it would be best to hear it from the mouth of Falz-dono.” (Makoto)
“Wa?!” (Root)
For now, I will shove it onto Root and buy time.
Let it please be a peaceful connection.
While feeling that this new chaos will be creating a bad development, I did an emergency escape and made a face as if it is none of my business.

well knowing that double job exist would be motivation for others to push themself as now it's know not to be the end of the road but a new starting point.
That was funny stuff. Oh yeah root knows all the details more than me. Root will let you know. Peace i'm out of here for the day. XD
Hm.... I wonder if Makoto will get another job. He never use any skill after all, right? Sakai is kind of a skill I guess... And his Magic Armour should be classed as a skill by now as well kind of
Actually no skills are exclusively from the guild system, what Makoto has is either magic equipment, magic or just divine abilities (instead of divine probably blessings would work)
Kkkkk se não tivesse a deusa Tome e Mio eu queria que o Makoto pegasse Raiz já que ela tbm é linda pra poha👌
All this filler is reminding me of the 100 episode Namek exploding "5 minute" Frieza fight. That fight took forevvvvver https://media0.giphy.com/media/Q4RnLcLyk7Fwk/giphy.gif
Just to be honest here. When will this filler, side story or whatever you call it ends mr author. Seriously, im having hard time continuing the current story. U may suggest me to just drop it then but bruh, this is 'initially' a good story, proper plot and depth. Maybe the author wanna milk us due to his financial condition during this pandemy?
Not us, but Japanese readers (unless you donate directly to the author)
I wonder when will the author begins to push forward the main story. It's been 40 chapters since Makoto defeated the apostle. Yet, all our dear MC did is playing house with adventurers and merchants. C'mon, you are supposed to confront the goddess. Just what do you expect from those adventurers? Tickle that BUG to death? Even if you successfully cultivate their talents. Do you honestly expect a bunch of neutral adventurers fighting against goddess? Not a single one of your close servants has that class tree and skill shit. But, they are still overwhelmingly powerful compared to hyuman adventurers. Shouldn't you focus on boosting the combat ability of your loyal servants in lieu of those weaklings? And what's that shit with pushing the industrialization of Tsige? You are not obligatory to do that since you claim yourself to be neutral. Unless you wanna nuke goddess. But we all see what Tomoki's nuke skill wind up like. To that goddess, nuke is no more powerful than a blast of wind.
And what about your parents' trace in this world? Yes, you conquered the Kaleneon. But then you literally hasn't done anything about excavating information about your parents.
Besides, what about Tomoe and Mio. After engaged in sexual relationship with them, why are you still treating them as if they were some ordinary subordinates? Are you really a unsophisticated Japanese high school student instead of a feudalistic lord who use woman for fun? I mean you had more interactions with those merchants than your beloved ones. Do you think that's normal?
It's really hard for me to understand motivations behind all his movements.
I think this happened because the author from the beginning gave us an op protagonist but a fool, basically he is childish although now he has changed
He spends his nights with Tomoe and Mio. So no they aren't neglected. In fact they have talked about they want to have kids with the mc. Besides Tomoe still does her thing and the same with Mio. She finds her enjoyment in cooking and having her husbando be the first to taste test the new food. She gets a lot of enjoyment out of it. Plus Tomoe works on her stuff to make sure her husbando is safe as well. And has all available info for him to consume. Then they both get to unwind after a long day of work with the mc at night time. So it works out in how they want their days to go. It's why they beat up Lime for taking one night away from them. During that secret clubs of Mio and Tomoe mess chapters back. XD
Well to be honest i don't really care about the frustration of people regarding "lack of action" when this stories goal always been Makoto's life and not Makoto's battles, now to do some corrections:
1- he isn't playing house, being a merchant is his job (leaving aside his lack of talent) and he isn't the type to just attack when he doesn't know what will happen or fills confident enough.
2- he isn't cultivating anything about the adventurers, he is observing the changes and the evolution of the formerly useless adventurers that used to die easily, i don't know how do you even get that especially when his job is to sell them stuff and help teams, that are associated with his company, basically being a merchant.
3- you don't get that here it isn't some Pokémon game where the MC does everything on his own, Tomoe and the other followers are actually training and improving on their own.
Basically they don't need to be supervised.
4- now Tsige is a neutral country that doesn't take any sides besides their own and it's like a home to Makoto where lots happened for him, so yeah of course he wants to see what's ahead.
5- again we know that basically nothing besides the castle was left so no traces of his parents and the last spot they were at was in a cave god knows where so he can't find what's been burned down and he doesn't care since, he now knows their country.
6- he doesn't treat Tomoe and Mio as subordinates in any way, they are actually given the most privileges in Asora.
They work in Asora and in the company out of their own will to help Makoto.
Of course he will spend most of his day with other people, because he is a CEO and his day is naturally busy.
Also in case you forgot it's outright stated how his nights are exclusively with the waifus.
It isn't hard to understand, it's all about slowing reading and not complaining about no fights being seen.
https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/e603fe67ac8457c3e3a42264b98eedc9bfebc76888052e026db256a2cde410ac.jpg
Actually with Tomoe and Mio he is playing house with them. They are literally his waifus. In which he spends the nights with both of them. lol
It's one thing to play house and what they are doing is literally their every day lives so saying that they play house is just wrong, it's literally their normal it's like saying that throughout the entire story they played house which is again wrong also also"lol" is cringe.
Dayem. Thanks beforehand for that essay mate.
I just connected some dots and realized - Makoto got interested about the skills/jobs that certain adventurers got AFTER the fight with the apostle. Maybe, just maybe, he is planning to register everyone of his underlings at the adventureres guild to let them level the shit out of them and make them more powerful.
YES OF COURSE they are OP already, but if Makoto still wants to beat the goddess without casualties THAT might be a good way to start the plan.
It is filler in a sense, but it is the filler which atleast brings the story into a more detailed goddess obliteration :D
And Don't forget that Skill is immune from Goddess lightning. While Makoto, Tomoe, and Mio rarely used any skill
This man spittin straight FACT!
Too many fillers that eat up 2 arc
I almost forgot about main story
The most annoying one is, he do many job like greeting people even though he don't need any help from other company, he is a stand alone company with source from Asora and yet people leeching him for good
What's with that adventure going to mist town lmao, no benefit is create from that, but the case like anti-god cultis using Asora name on their own convenient lol
Where is my romance story between MC, Mio & Tomoe?
WHERE?!
For God sake author just mention it one or two times on the story, but he/she mention about foot for a whole arc!
https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/e82d421006a84c74c1f09bccf5b14a6d1ea617f1bea3d4c32355fe6d63d2f280.jpg
Kuro, he has romance time with Tomoe and Mio every night. It was mentioned in ch. 313 and again much later when Lime keeping the mc away for the night for an investigation. That was done with the Tomoe and Mio secret clubs. In which he got a severe beating for keeping the mc out all night. In which it kept him from having adult affection time with his waifus. Which they were badly pissed about. lol And it was even mentioned by Lime, can't you two go without one night with him? There answer was obviously a no, with them beating him badly. To a point he didn't show up for a few days. lol If you're looking for details of the adult affection time, you're not going to get that in this story. The author does a fade to black thing for that. Where we as readers know it happens, but no details are giving. Just it's confirmed it happens on a nightly basis. ;)
yep that playing house became anoying
author probably forgot what he wrote in main plot after his 2 years break
So when is Root going to figure out why Makoto is still lv 1 and tell him about titles?
Makoto would know about his titles if he bothered to look at that part of his guild card, but he never has. xD
Was it not explained that it was because of MC indirectly dying (concentrating) every time he used the bow?
While that is a possibility, his level didn't change after killing the 2 headed dog at the very beginning. Ema gave him a scroll shortly after that said he was still level 1. He didn't have a bow to practice at that point. Then there was when he killed those ruby eyed wasps outside of Tsige. He registered at the guild the next day and was still level 1. There was no mention of him practicing with his bow. :-)
Yeah, with wasps it is understandable, but that wolf... I totally forgot about that. Then my second theory, is that it is a passive effect of the Moon God's blessing, which protects Makoto from the system.
Root talked about the levels and how it wasn't exp you gained, but power. And power only went in one direction. You opponent had to be stronger for you to gain any. So there's also the possibility that Makoto hasn't fought someone stronger than himself yet. :-)
Another idea I had was the wavelength of the magic. The Demon's created the ring to cancel out the heroes blessings from the Goddess, but the ring didn't do anything to Makoto because his "blessing" comes from another God whose power uses a different wavelength. The adventurer's guild is built around the Goddess' magic.
Wait the scroll! Did he maybe join a "different" adventure guild that has a different job system?! Like a "monster" guild? Maybe there are some requirements for it? Could also be Root never set the system up.
One part of me wants to agree with that first point, but makoto did fought the Sofia and lancer, 4 demon generals and root shortly afterwards.
Dont need to forget that he fought also against Athena.
But everxthing said can be canceled by saying "he didn't slay them and couldn't accumulate their power".
My own theory has become that every time he switches into battle mode it is on such a level deep that he is like switching whole personalities. Meaning is, that his vessel (which was only measured) was never absorbing that power, but rather his subconsciousness did.
Another part of that theory is, that his vessel has to much power inside already or rather his vessel isn't big enough to burden that much power.
That atleast can be explained by Shiba - the god of wealth/ war god - as "his vessel is already leaking of so much power. It is a miracle he didn't go insane yet", but honestly id like to see some more intel into it.
But geez, your thought are combined to "science" in a meaning - im impressed :D
Yea and they both where weaker than him considering how he WTF pwned them in there home terf, and he even spared Sofia so Root could clean up his own mess, remember he is always having his powers weakened by the rings.
No such explanation was ever made. We still don't know why it is the case.
So it was one of the theories I had read then.
after another 100 ch of filler
In the future
Thank you for the chapter!
Pushing the troublesome things to root. He should do that more often. Root deserves it.
my boi makoto has all grown up
