WM – Chapter 193: Human Demon War 6

“Come here, Takatsuki-kun!”

“Alright, got it.” (Makoto)

The place Yokoyama Saki-san (the wife of Sakurai-kun) was pointing at and we were heading to -the black dome.

The closer we got to it, the more overwhelmed I was by its size.

I thought it was as big as the Tokyo Dome, but it might be bigger than that.

Also, I saw humans and demons fighting with the black dome as its centre, and I noticed something was off.

The Six Alliance Nation composed of mostly Sun Knights were fighting as if trying to protect the black dome.

“Yokoyama-san, why is everyone protecting that black thing?” (Makoto)

If Sakurai-kun is trapped in it, wouldn’t it be better to just destroy it?

When I asked this, Yokoyama-san spoke with a vexed expression.

“That black dome is a barrier that only imprisons the Light Hero. It is a one-way barrier that doesn’t allow humans to enter from the outside. And the most problematic part is that demons and monsters can enter… That’s why.” (Saki)

“I see. A barrier that has conditions, huh. Even so…’only the Light Hero’. That’s quite the targeted move. They devised a magic formula just for that one sole purpose, huh.” (Makoto)

Hearing what Yokoyama-san said, I dug out a memory of a long time ago.

There’s something I learned in the Water Temple a long time ago.

About barrier magic.

Barrier magic is used to block the attacks of enemies, and to imprison the enemy. In order to block powerful offensive magic, or imprison strong opponents, there’s the need for a massive amount of mana.

But that wouldn’t be cost effective, so in order to make a powerful barrier with good cost-performance, there’s a method called ‘Added Conditions’.

Putting it simply, you can make a barrier that is strong against fire magic but weak against water magic.

By doing that, even if the required mana is the same, you can make a barrier that is far stronger against fire magic.

But what the enemy prepared was:

– Imprison only the Light Hero.

– Stop the entrance of humans.

– Demons and monsters can freely enter.

That’s the basic gist of it.

“But barriers can be broken eventually with enough attacks. There’s a whole lot of skilled mages in the Sun Knights, right?” (Makoto)

“We can’t do that! The mages of the Sun Knights said that it would take 2 days to destroy the barrier! This barrier is apparently God Rank, and the only ones who could break it would be the Great Sage-sama or the Light Hero when he is under the light of the sun…” (Saki)

“How can this be…” (Makoto)

The Great Sage-sama returned to Symphonia, so she is still on her way here.

The Light Hero has been trapped.

Moreover, the Pitch Black Clouds are blocking the sunlight.

This is indeed bad.

“Is Sakurai-kun the only one inside?” (Makoto)

“No, there’s always a team of around 100 people to protect Ryosuke. That’s why he shouldn’t be alone, but…it has already been a whole day since they have been trapped there. I don’t know if everyone is okay…” (Saki)

“I see…” (Makoto)

It is a rough situation.

I can’t say anything positive to that.

While we were talking, we arrived close to the black dome…correction, the pitch black barrier.

The surface of the barrier is completely black, and I couldn’t see inside of it.

Let’s try and shoot a spell on it, is what I thought, but Yokoyama-san made her move first.

“Holy Swordsmanship: [Light Slash]!” (Saki)

Yokoyama-san shot a light wave that was bigger than the time when she defeated the two firedrakes.

That giant light wave approached the barrier.

But the moment it touched the barrier…it disappeared.

“Was it absorbed…?” (Makoto)

“I don’t know… This is the first time the mages saw this kind of barrier, so they had to start from the analysis part…” (Saki)

Was it good that I didn’t attack it carelessly?

But the face of Yokoyama-san was far from what you would call calm. I could feel her desperation from it.

But there was one point that bothered me.

“I am surprised you could tell the traits of the barrier even though the analysis of it hasn’t finished yet. Like the fact that it can only imprison the Light Hero.” (Makoto)

“About that…it was Archbishop Isaac who came out laughing and explained to us when that barrier caught Ryosuke. ‘That barrier is a barrier that we created from zero in order to seal the Light Hero! You guys won’t be able to break through it ever!’ …Damn it!” (Saki)

“That guy again, huh…” (Makoto)

He really loves his explanations.

I haven’t seen his actual face yet though.

“Hey, Takatsuki-kun! You are a mage, right…? Can you…do something?” (Saki)

With a voice that felt like she was on the verge of tears, and with eyes that had slight bags below them.

She probably hasn’t slept a wink since Sakurai-kun was trapped.

“What I can do would be…” (Makoto)

I took out the dagger of Noah-sama from my waist, and approached the barrier.

If it is this sacred treasure…

At that moment, the wings of the water phoenix touched the black barrier…and the next instant, the water phoenix suddenly disappeared.

So it really is a barrier that absorbs mana?!

“Wa!” (Makoto)

“Are you okay?!” (Saki)

When I was about to fall, Yokoyama-san grabbed me.

She grabbed me by the collar, so I am hanging in midair.

That was dangerous.

“Thanks, Yokoyama-san. Wait for a bit, okay?” (Makoto)

Saying this, I pushed out the dagger onto the barrier.

But I felt no resistance from it.

The blade of the dagger easily stabbed into the barrier as if it were sucked in.

“Eh?” (Makoto)

“W-Wow! Can’t that weapon break the barrier?!” (Saki)

“Wait, this reaction is…” (Makoto)

I stopped the cheering of Yokoyama-san, and tried to touch the barrier with the hand that was not holding the dagger.

My left hand easily passed through the barrier without making a sound.

“Huh?” (Makoto)

“Eeeeeeh?!” (Saki)

This barrier isn’t even deterring me to begin with?

“Hey, Yokoyama-san.” (Makoto)

“Y-Yes, what is it?” (Saki)

I was a bit agitated and my voice cracked a bit.

“Didn’t you say humans couldn’t enter this barrier?” (Makoto)

“U-Uhm…if I remember correctly, he said it is a barrier that human and demi-human warriors and mages can’t enter…” (Saki)

“I can enter because I am an apprentice mage…?” (Makoto)

That’s what’s written in my Soul Book as my class.

I am not even a mage.

“Aren’t you…a Hero though?” (Saki)

“That’s a job I was given by the Rozes royalty. My class in this world is apprentice mage.” (Makoto)

“I-I see… T-That’s rough.” (Saki)

Yokoyama-san looks at me with eyes filled with pity.

It has indeed been rough.

(The mage that made this barrier probably didn’t expect a Country Designated Hero to be an apprentice mage.) (Noah)

The voice of Noah-sama resonated in my head.

Eeh, but I am a Country Designated Hero too…

Is my job not counted?

You should anticipate something like that too.

(Isn’t that fine? Thanks to that, you can enter the barrier, right?) (Noah)

Well, that’s true.

“Then, Yokoyama-san, I will be going. You can let go now.” (Makoto)

I am still being grabbed by the collar and hanging in the air.

“Eh, o-okay… I am counting on you with Ryosuke.” (Saki)

“Yeah, I will go save Sakurai-kun.” (Makoto)

“Be careful.” (Saki)

I waved my hand at Yokoyama-san who was directing a serious gaze at me.

She lets go of my collar.

I was thrown into the air, and was swallowed by the pitch black barrier.

◇◇

(…Dark. There’s practically no visibility here…) (Makoto)

[Night Vision].

The inside of the barrier was as dark as a moonless night.

But there’s something.

Moving.

[Detection].

There’s a lot of enemies.

Every single one of them are ferocious demons and monsters in the Calamity Designation class.

There were more than thousands crowding the inside of the barrier.

[Stealth].

I erase my presence.

I have no intention of fighting the demons here.

I have to find Sakurai-kun first.

[Eavesdrop].

I can hear it.

The sounds of battle.

I don’t know who is fighting, but at the very least, it should be an ally of Sakurai-kun.

I silently move towards the place where the sounds are coming from.

[Clear Mind] 100%.

I moved past the monsters that were crowding the place.

This is not the time to be feeling fear.

I avoid the enemies without thinking anything and head to the noise.

I am getting closer and closer to the sound.

I see it!

There’s one swordsman fighting alone.

Ashen colored armor.

Black sword.

Who is that…?

There’s a whole ton of monsters around.

They are fighting off those monsters alone.

Must be quite the skilled one.

I slowly began to see the figure of the swordsman more clearly…and noticed…

It is Sakurai-kun with his whole body covered in blood.

“Sakurai-kun!” (Makoto)

I shouted loudly without caring about the monsters around.

“…”

There was no response from Sakurai-kun.

His eyes were blank like a sleepwalker.

The armor I thought was ashen was actually his white armor that had dried blood on it.

His magic sword he showed me before was the same.

It was covered in blood.

Even with all that, he was swinging his sword.

He was fighting all alone against the rushing hordes of demons and monsters.

“Water Magic: [Giant Whale]!” (Makoto)

I used my Spirit Arm, created a massive water whale, and blew away the monsters.

It is not an offensive spell.

It is a spell to buy time and create distance.

“Sakurai-kun!” (Makoto)

I shouted once more.

“……Taka…tsuki-kun?” (Sakurai)

There was a reaction this time around.

Alright!

“Sakurai-kun, are you injured?!” (Makoto)

I ran to him and checked how injured he is.

But Sakurai-kun himself wasn’t injured.

The blood that was on Sakurai-kun was all blood from others.

“…How did you…get in here?” (Sakurai)

“Who cares about that! Where are your other allies?!” (Makoto)

I heard from Yokoyama-san that he was trapped here with his bodyguards.

Then, there’s no way that Sakurai-kun would be alone.

“………..They all…died.” (Sakurai)

“Wa?” (Makoto)

What came back was a dry response.

“The 7th Division is formed wholly by young knights… Their role is to…die in my place. But even though I told them that I wouldn’t allow that to happen…that we will all be surviving together…they all became my shield…” (Sakurai)

“…”

I was at a loss for words.

He survived within all that?

I hear footsteps.

It is the monsters I blew away just before.

There’s even more now.

Monsters and demons can freely enter this barrier.

They may increase in numbers, but not decrease.

“My mana is about to run out. Without the light of the sun, this is all I am despite being praised as the reincarnation of the Savior. If you can get out from this barrier, please…run away… If you are together with me, you won’t be able to r—hnguh!” (Sakurai)

“Drink this for now!” (Makoto)

He was in the middle of talking, but when I heard about his mana having run out, I immediately pushed the Elixir I got from Fuji-yan into his mouth.

“…Guh! Takatsuki-kun, what are you doing all of a sudd…eh?” (Sakurai)

The surroundings of Sakurai-kun’s body suddenly shone blue, and mana visibly began to fill the place.

As expected of the strongest potion of all, Elixir.

“My stamina and mana has fully recovered?!” (Sakurai)

“Do you think you can last for a day more?!” (Makoto)

“I-I don’t know, but probably.” (Sakurai)

“Alright!” (Makoto)

Water Magic: [Giant Whale]!

I once again knock away the approaching monsters with water magic.

But maybe because it is the second time and they have learned from it, some evaded it, and there’s also those who endured the water magic without moving.

“Holy Swordsmanship: [Light Slash]!” (Sakurai)

And Sakurai-kun cuts them down with his light wave.

It is the same technique as Yokoyama-san.

Having the same style as your wife is quite stylish.

“Takatsuki-kun, my mana has recovered which is great, but it still doesn’t change the fact that I can’t get out from the barrier!” (Sakurai)

I could feel slight amounts of energy back from Sakurai-kun’s voice.

Right.

According to Yokoyama-san, this barrier is God Rank.

It doesn’t change the fact that we are still in a bad situation.

I remember the conversation I had with Noah-sama, and remember the things I learned from the magic classes at the Water Temple in the past.

There were lessons for breaking barriers within that.

It is slightly forceful though.

(Well, no choice but to try…) (Makoto)

I undo Clear Mind, and sighed.

“XXXXXXXXX (Spirit-sans, Spirit-sans…come).” (Makoto)

I speak in Spirit Language.

The Water Spirits cheer with a ‘waai’ as if they had been waiting for their turn.

I raised my blue shining Spirit Arm to the front, and more and more Spirits gathered.

“For now, let’s do something about this barrier.” (Makoto)

I turned to Sakurai-kun and proposed this.

  1. Wait, they all actually died? Seriously? In this supposed light hearted novel? Cool.

I find it impressive that Sakurai can fight for 24 hours straight with no light from the sun. Way too broken. He didn’t even get injured.

I wonder if Sakurai will get PTSD..

  2. So basically the ‘7th Division’ turned into the ‘300 Spartans’ then?
Well, at least they died well…err…no they got eaten by monsters didn’t they….
Looks like Sakurai is gonna be first to get the isekai PTSD then? >.>

        1. well maybe some magical something happened behind the scene and also it’s not like revival magic is exclusive to sun oracle. maybe some mage unit could also use it. because it is war so yeah medic wizard must be exist somewhere there.

    1. Since they gave their lives to protect a single person, a more appropriate comparison would be the 189 of the Swiss Guard.

  3. What a rescue, Sakurai will definitely be even more grateful to Makoto for saving him
will he nevertheless resent himself for letting his allies die ?

  4. – Imprison only the Light Hero.

What part of ONLY includes his 100 bodyguards? Shouldn’t that cancel the Added Condition of the barrier?

  5. thanks for chap
next up something absurd is gonna pop up from mc’s actions ,am positively sure.

also tbh mc is no longer a human ,so demi-spirit? and thats the reason he didnt get rejected.I mean a barrier to reject humans and demi-humans is most likely to not care about their class.

  6. Thanks for the chapter~!

Damn Sakurai must’ve been mentally and physically cornered already. Seeing your allies dies one by one while you can’t protect them because you have to live must hurt a lot. Reminded me of the story of “nonchalantly mankind strongest” assassin guy whose existence is so thin that automatic door won’t open 2/3 of the time and whose face wasn’t shown in the anime from another isekai story.

How will Makoto get out from this predicament? Tune in for another chapter!

    Next Up: Sakurai’s perspective

  7. Thanks for the chapter. Who would have expected that Makoto’s inferior stats and low class would allow him to bypass the barrier like that? The Snake Church really should have done their homework on the guy who’s foiled their plans so many times. I’m looking forward to see what sort of method Makoto has devised to escape from the barrier and the inevitable fight against Zagan’s son.

  8. So he gave an example earlier about a barrier being made stronger to fire by being made weaker to water. It is resisting all of the magic of the humans there, which means magic of the holy gods. So it was probably strengthened by being made weak to the other forms of magic (titan/nature and demonic magics). I mean, what are the odds that someone with access to one of those would show up to help him? And have access to enough mana?

  9. Thanks for the chapter! ^^
My bets are on either floodind the barrier, overcharging it, or 10, 000 depth in the whole barrier. x)
And Isaac being this good old vilain explaining everything is really trustworthy for the human aide. Never change bro, you’re doing great. XD

  10. Issac should be a duelist in Yugioh, explaining how all his cards work to his opponents! Is he evil Byakura or Marik?

Makoto a true friend. Shoving elixirs down your friends mouth before they give their despairing monologues. Fujiyan efforts shining too.

Makoto: Its time to flood this barrier!
    Sakurai: I can’t breat… I can breathe.

How many points will this give him with Ira?

    1. Man i been waiting for this for hours but still I’m late again.

Anyways it’s state that human and demi – humans can’t enter in a level of warriors and mages. Makoto’s excuse about being an apprentice mage wrong because an apprentice mage is still a human. If I’m right makoto can enter because of the spirit arm. It only state that human and demi – human. But not a half spirit. My evidence is that in the last line makoto gather all the water spirit which it means that spirit can freely enter.

Why half spirit. Because makoto is already a spirit because of the transformation skill, if I’m right makoto race is not human anymore, and last the divinity on noah. Because of that divine power which stop from eroding his body into a full spirit. But its not state that he is not a spirit, which why he is half spirit body.

And now the barrier i think the way makoto can break it by giving it a extreme pressure to escape. In my theory he can just fill the barrier with water and use water magic skill he used in the lighting hero 1,000 depths with a lot of pressure (which he’s whole body break😂) . In this time he won’t worry about mana being absorb by barrier because he can infinitely fill again spirits until the barriers captivity limit.

Well anyways this just my theory but I hope I’m right 😊😊😊😂.

  11. I have read a manga awhile ago about mouth feeding an elixir and i thought Makoto would mouth feed the elixir to Sakurai… Im glad he didn’t or else this novel will turn to another weird direction.

    Thank you for this chapter!

  12. oof, i forgot the existence of elixir..
since it never mentioned again untill now.
so next time they will go all out to kill makoto i bet, destorying 15k troops, killing Hayate abd rescuing Light Hero + he might also kill some of 300k Demons making Human Win..

Also most of gamer didn’t or never use elixir, since they are rare and most decide to kept for later use or untill final boss but in the end never actually use it.

  13. Why not use the prophecy of the light hero being killed by an ally?
After realizing that they can’t break the barrier with magic, it should be a valid idea to kill the hero and therefore remove him from the barriers confinement. And after rushing back, possibly running in the great sage for faster travel towards Noel, have him being revived.

    1. Let’s call that “plan B” since right now the light hero is in good condition and they can still try other things while they stall for backup. There’s no guarantee that the hero’s corpse wouldn’t still be restrained by the barrier.

  14. I’ve hanged myself on the cliffhanger again.
Thank you Reigokai sensei, hope there another double release when Makoto and Sakurai fighting together.
Isaac basically an airhead , I dare say so.
Why the heck you explain about your plan every single time, it’ll lead you to your doom everytime.

  15. I first thought he would use Transformation, but this make my think other thing, could be a mix of various reasons or just one, I think could be: Human from another world (different genes) + magic apprentice + low stats + right arm (spirit being + divinity) + (maybe) a view outside this world even thought live in this side = barrier confused. I mean, so many thing, a lot that are contradictory between themselve could had make the barrier don’t understand the existence of Makoto.

  16. So it’s a special barrier that doesn’t let humans, demi-humans, warriors, and mages aside from Sakurai in while monsters and demons can enter freely. Of course Makoto can enter. Yeah he says it’s because he’s an apprentice mage so he falls outside of the conditions of the barrier because he’s not a ‘real mage’ but honestly it’s more likely because he’s not human. He’s part spirit because of his arm and the conditions of the barrier don’t apply to spirits or half spirits.

Isaac needs to just hurry up and die already. He’s such a small fry. All he does is show up to gloat and explain stuff before their plans ever succeed. Save the speeches for after you win or at least mix in false information while you’re explaining stuff.

Fuji-yan is the unsung hero in all this for his foresight into getting Elixirs for Makoto’s group.

After losing his entire guard squad I hope that this will make Sakurai more assertive. The Highland nobles probably pushed the squad onto him even though they all KNOW that they can’t protect Sakurai because he’s stronger than all of them combined and Sakurai should also know that. They’re dead weight that would not help Sakurai in the slightest and would just be throwing their lives away pointlessly. If Sakurai were more assertive then he could have refused a squad guarding him which would prevent their deaths or he could have at least taken charge and arranged them in some way to minimize losses if he had to have a squad forced on him.

So I wonder what Makoto’s going to do? Only thing I can think of is feed mana into the barrier until it can’t take any more and breaks. Like sure the barrier is god rank but it doesn’t mean that it’s quality is that good. I mean it was cast by demons through sacrifices as a crude way to cast the barrier so it probably has an upper limit to how much mana it can absorb while Makoto has literally infinite mana through the spirits and his spirit arm.

  17. For those wondering, the conditions of the barrier are 『人族と亜人の戦士や魔法使いは入ることが出来ない結界』, a barrier where human and demihuman warriors and mages can’t enter, the listing is just a little bit weird in the translation.

  18. They probably added the specific clause ‘people above a certain strength cannot enter’ to strengthen the barrier

Too bad Makoto is playing with the old edition rules (old gods) instead of the new ones (holy gods) 😀

  19. All of them avoiding the real issue in question, he can enter not because he is a magician’s apprentice (pathetic excuse), “If you want power you will have to abandon your humanity” the most logical thing is that he no longer classifies as human since he obtained that arm.

    1. the apprentice thing may be more like makoto reasoning, in actuallity, it could be cus of Noah dagger and his arm, the arm presence may be so overwhelming that the arm completely rewritted him and more with Noah divinity represing that arm to not fully convert makoto body into total spirit, there is also maybe the situation of him as Noah apostle which would alter him, specially the magic with all its properties

  21. Oh boy. A 0% Calm Mind rampage? That’ll do the trick, probably.

Huzzah for the secret hero Fuji-yan with his emergency supplies.
Poor Sakurai had a rough time. His team died and he’s exhausted mentally. I hope this means he’ll start biting back against Highland.

  22. After reading this chapter and having read quite a few stories concerning barriers, I can think of a couple of ways to defeat the barrier. Since clouds are made of water, he could have asked the spirits to remove them or since he’s inside do something like Lucy’s grand fireball and wash all the monsters outside the barrier. Don’t the spirits give him the ability to absorb an endless amount of mana though his arm? Guess we’ll have to wait and find out, hoe he gets out of this predicament.

    1. Iirc, those clouds were made by a God Rank magic. He even thought about diapersing it with spirit magic but Noah did say that it would be impossible to do that. I believe it’s explained at the previous chapter.
Like I said at the start, I’m not totally sure about what did say since I don’t remember clearly.

  23. It denies the entry of humans. Makoto was able to enter. Although he was an apprentice mage, he still would’ve counted as “human”. Alright boys y’all know what that means! Makoto’s no longer human!

      1. Not to mention the Divinity of an Evil God resides in his left arm. Wouldn’t having divinity within him classify him as a demi-god?

    1. You fools (sorry it came like that) he has the divinity of Noah in his arm remember…. that which makes him not loose his human form and transform into a spirit even the water goddess was complaining about the divinity stuff

    2. If we thinking using computer logic (programming things), it would be like:
      if (obj.type == Race.Human && (obj.job == Job.Warrior || obj.job == Job.Mage)) { blockEntry(obj); } else { allowEntry(obj); }
      🤔🤔

  24. Thank you for the chapter 😀
Bwahahahahaha :’D They made the rules too specific :’D Gotta love monkey paw magic logic
He said this area is just FLOODED (pardon the pun) with spirits
Maybe its time for the biggest spell he has?

    1. Normally, an apprentice warrior/mage wouldn’t be a problem in this situation because there are class 4 and above monsters in the barrier. However, Makoto who draws his power from Spirits can kill those monsters and help Sakurai.

      1. The last time he went on a zero percent rampage he flat out killed the Lightening Hero. Personally I’m hoping for something like
        God Rank Magic: Hurricane
Pop that snowglobe with an overwhelming amount of force, could also help shift the cloud layer

  25. What will he do next!!!!????
We have little information about barriers so I can’t even come up with a theory.
A on attack strong enough to break it sound impossible if not even Sakurai could break it and he can’t dig a tunnel under it either.
The only thing I can think of is water pressure or magic saturation but he also only has to keep Sakurai alive until after midnight to change ponkotsu’s prediction

    1. It’s possible that because of Sakurai being the Light Hero, they skimped out on his education anticipating “regular topics are unnecessary”
Not to mention maybe the barrier is only good against Holy Mana? Titan magic is a natural disaster so he may just be able to pop it

      1. That sounds possible.
They think that as long as they have him and the great sage they are invincible and where more preoccupied using him as a political tool making him have offspring that they might have just focus on his attack power being overwhelming instead of a more wider education.

  26. Reigokai, are you doing this on purposes? This kind of play, I hate it you know. I’m not a masochist you know. This kind of S M play is no good you know? I’d like to put you in seiza, but instead I’ll be waiting with f5 sama at full throttle once again. Orz

    1. Don’t refresh too much, man. The system could take that as a suspected bot activity and suspends Reigokai’s blog temporarily, like few months ago where there are 2 months of TL inactivity because of that. If you want to spam F5, then i suggest to follow Reigokai’s blog and spam F5 on wordpress’s homepage where you’ll get notification for Reigokai’s new post.

  27. Isaac really likes to explain his plans. Will we see his face someday?

Makoto is too pitful. I never expected his class as an apprentice mage to come back like this.

A forceful way to break a barrier ? Is it something like attacking the barrier beyond its capacity to absorb the attacks ? Because using brute force is the only thing Makoto can do in this situation.

Ironically, Makoto is not good with yankee and rowdy people, but he is solving most of his problems with force and violence.

    1. Isaac will really fit in a YuGiOh show, imagine him dueling and explaining everything. No one will bat an eye to him cus it’s normal lol.

  28. Thanks for the chapter!

What? So Makoto isn’t even acknowledged by the barrier (basically)? Haha, that’s kinda hillarious!
Just me that’s overthinking, but did Makoto just used Water Magic Whale without asking spirits?

A barrier that absorbs mana eh, his spirit arm could definitely be of use in this situation. It could be that the barrier could only absorbs much amount of mana before it’s broken or something. But what if the absorbed mana is being converted into streghtening the barrier even more? If that’s not the case, that being a god rank barrier would already gives us a hint that it would need a massive amount of mana before it can’t absorbs even more.

Well, still waiting for the loli vampire to come and praise Makoto for whatever he did to free Sakurai from the barrier~

      1. His arm IS a spirit arm now. He’s therefore part spirit. And that allows him to use a huge amount of mana for water related spells without involving the spirits, but to a far lessor degree than what a full spirit could do. Thus Makoto can do what water spirits can do, on a smaller scale. Certainly far less than what an Undine class spirit can do, yet crazy by human standards. But the other point is he can do a lot of that merely with a thought.

      1. I think rain isn’t pass dome, because Sakurai’s armor had “dried” blood cover.
If it has rain in there his armor won’t have dried blood.
