Tsuki – Chapter 307: Can’t run away from Rembrandt

TLN: Double chapter today! Don’t miss out the previous one.

In the end, I ‘returned’ to Tsige one week after the torturing night.

What’s the scary part? That the heat of Asora isn’t showing signs of stopping.

It is like the next day after a much anticipated international sports match in a big stage that managed to nail a big turnaround victory.

That’s the kind of tension it still has.

At the entrance of Lorel, after we departed from the country through the nostalgic eastern gate of Mizuha where many people saw us off, we would show up to random settlements to leave proof that we were moving as we returned.

PRG (According to Ginebia-san, it is the unofficial abbreviation of Picnic Rose Garden) have reached Tsige a long time ago, and can already have lively interactions with the adventurers and the soldiers who were former adventurers.

The result from the report of Tamaki about the charm perfume’s evil and the spread in Tsige was that there’s no problem.

Our employees made contact with Vivi-san, and after checking the members thoroughly, not a single one of them seemed to be people under the influence of Tomoki.

According to the memories of Shii herself, in her fierce fight with a male assassin called Ryoma, the charm had been ‘passed’. Not infected, but in the sense of moving.

The reality of it was that the charm effect that had taken root and grown inside of Ryoma had been thrown just like that into Shii.

…Whether it is a spell or a curse, there’s a lot of variations.

It seems like the memories of Ryoma in question are muddy, but he somewhat understood that he was charmed.

He was pretty sullen.

His memories are still there after all.

Looks like at that time when he made contact with the three girls that I killed, he was hit by that perfume.

That’s why they were able to easily get to Mizuha.

So they managed to create an ally within the mercenary group.

It seems like he was gathering top secret information of PRG to present to Tomoki and the Empire, but before he managed to go outside to spread the perfume and maneuver secretly, their conflict with us began, and he lost his timing to leave the base which was fortunate.

He managed to not commit any big sins aside from switching over the charm to Shii.

…In my opinion, that is still quite the hefty sin, but he promised that he would be putting 200% of himself for the mission in Tsige, so I decided to keep it between us.

But well, aside from the fortune that we managed to deal with this before it turned into an actual issue!

Thanks to the consecutive special sales of the Kuzunoha Company, a part of Tsige was in a festive mood and in chaos.

This one is an actual issue.

People were asking me: ‘What’s your place doing? Are you sane?’, which was actually one of the better ones.

The customers that turned into complainers from the special sale had been rolled up in the basement of the store.

Because of them doing a crazy sale like 99% off there was no profit at all, or rather, we were in the big reds that even a child would be able to tell, and because of how busy it got and having no leeway, there were even thieves showing up.

Ah, but I had a good laugh at these idiots that tried stealing though.

The adventurers in Tsige are the rowdy bunch, you know?

Those kinds of people were barely enduring themselves waiting patiently in line, and yet, these guys tried to rush into the store, and before our employees suppressed them, the wasteland adventurers beat them up all black and blue with veins popping out.

It seems like it was even more tragic than being rolled up and left in the basement.

Those kinds of things continued happening.

Without any sort of advance notice, this crazed sale went on for several days, and I who had officially returned to Tsige in the middle of it…was invited (dragged) deep into the guild that has completely become a meeting room for war where Rembrandt-san, a former executive of the merchant guild, and several staff members of the Adventurer Guild were waiting.

“Yes yes, I am sorry, I will be more careful in the future. I will make sure to contact, consult, and report beforehand. Yes, sorry for the trouble.” (Makoto)

Was the phrase that I repeated all the time today.

It is exactly the Report-Contact-Consult that I told Tamaki about on that night I did my best.

The Kuzunoha Company’s Tsige branch always properly makes the necessary arrangements, but due to the events in Asora passing all the way here, they went ‘this is a big wave we must take (Eris Team)’ and lost all reins, ending up in this situation.

‘It is because of your daily good deeds that things ended with just this much, but normally, there would be a lot of people who would come out thinking unsavory stuff, and it would turn problematic’, is what they told me.

Well, they got really angry.

…There were though. Thieves and robbery.

Just because we can fight them off doesn’t make it okay, huh. The Kuzunoha Company has grown into a company that’s known even in Tsige. Their conduct is being watched constantly.

They told me that it might influence negatively the people that want to begin a business, so be careful, which was the thing that made me lower my head the deepest. It was a statement that I could agree from the bottom of my heart.

The only one there who could laugh here was Rembrandt-san. Damn it.

Speaking of Rembrandt-san.

“Come to my place later, okay? It can be after this, yeah?” (Rembrandt)

All smiles.

‘I can laugh at it right now, but you understand, right?’, is what I felt like he was telling me.

I straightened my back and went to the Rembrandt residence, silently sitting at the sofa to wait for him.

“Sorry for making you wait.” (Rembrandt)

“No, I should be the one apologizing! It took me more time to return than I expected, and also dropped the city into chaos all of a sudden. My deepest apologies!” (Makoto)

At a glance, it is as if Tsige is always experiencing a gold rush, but right now they are in the middle of a war with independence on the line.

It seems like we are still in the superior position, but I heard that the negotiations are still in a stalemate.

It is not a crisis yet, but it is still too soon to relax.

It is at times like this when you lower your guard the most.

At that kind of time, a sudden surprise sale happened.

Of course I should be scolded for it.

I didn’t expect that the wave of celebration would resonate all the way to the Kuzunoha Company…

…Aaah!

“No, in regards to that, it is already…Hm?” (Rembrandt)

The Kuzunoha Company…there’s one in Rotsgard too…

Really?

Could it be that there as well?!

I have to hurry and confirm. Aah, but my talk with Rembrandt-san comes first.

Guaaah!

“Is something the matter, Raidou-kun?” (Rembrandt)

“No, sorry about that. Really…” (Makoto)

“Haha, it is alright already. Also, this time’s sale is actually on the tame side considering what your place normally does. It is because of the current state of things that people are getting a bit more reactive than usual, that’s all.” (Rembrandt)

Looks like our company has completely gotten the image of doing crazy stuff.

Past cases were surfacing one after the other in my mind, so I couldn’t refute that at all though.

“I heard that negotiations with Aion are proving difficult?” (Makoto)

This is not the time to be talking about the past.

I have heard about it from the guild, but I think I should ask in more detail about the situation.

It is not like I don’t want to dig up the memories of the crazy stuff we have done in the past.

“It is not to the point of being difficult, but the fact that the Kingdom side is not breaking its strong attitude is a bit of a worrying point. Well, we will soon be able to clear up the reason for that though.” (Rembrandt)

“The coup d’etat side is already…?” (Makoto)

“…It is troubling. I thought that they would persevere a bit longer. Their momentum at first was quite the thing, but what came after they were pushed back…made me feel like putting my hopes in them was stupid. Well, it would have been troubling even if they were to end up doing short decisive battles after being pushed back, so you could say it would have been problematic regardless, huh.” (Rembrandt)

Rembrandt-san explains the situation to me in a calm manner.

At first, we thought that they would have a more close battle between each other. Utilizing the feeling from both camps of not wanting to recklessly increase the enemies, Tsige announced independence, and after some negotiations, we were trying to create a city-state which there’s no precedent in this world.

As a country where the royalty and religion doesn’t intervene.

But the reality was that, even though the coup d’etat had powerful momentum at first and arrived at the kingdom’s capital, they were repelled.

The Kingdom side maintained their superiority after pushing them back, and were now controlling the insurrection in a relatively calm manner with suppression in mind.

Just that, the complicated part about the Aion Kingdom is the ruling way where the clans and tribes gather and support the royal family.

Looking simply at that, it is huge, and Aion actually has a similar composition to that of the troublesome Limia Kingdom’s nobles.

At any rate, Tsige going independent would mean that one of the big purses of the Aion Kingdom would be gone, which is a big deal for them.

If the insurrection is heading to resolution, reaching independence with negotiations will become quite difficult.

The reason why the Aion Kingdom could push back the coup d’etat and remain with a strong stance -as long as their trump card kind of thing doesn’t get identified, Tsige won’t be able to move.

We have placed a lot more in the defense of the wasteland, but the reality is that it is not constructed in a way that’s prepared to face Aion.

It must be because, until now, they have been paying quite the exorbitant amount in taxes obediently so there was nothing to worry about.

The city’s special characteristic is that it is a place where a variety of people gather, so there will obviously be adventurers who, even though we could rely on them greatly as fighting power, are only interested in the wasteland.

“I think that mercenary group will definitely be of use to the city.” (Makoto)

“…Yeah, they are quite the group. I am impressed. I was planning on gathering retired adventurers from a wide area to work as guards for self-defense. Thanks to these mercenaries, we might be able to do that a lot faster in the middle of the war and the negotiations.” (Rembrandt)

“That’s great.” (Makoto)

For self-defense, huh.

He must have been quite troubled.

I want Vivi-san and the others to leave their know-how, and if possible, raise people of talent too.

…Might as well extract some of them to our side?

If they do have the intention to, it might be possible.

“Well, in regards to independence, I already think that it will happen. There’s several paths to take, so I am not worried.” (Rembrandt)

Wow, as always.

The eyes of this man are already looking all the way to when independence has already been won.

He is looking at what happens beyond independence.

For someone like me who doesn’t know what might happen in the war, I even feel as if he is a bit too positive here.

But that’s not it.

He is not positive, but looking at it realistically, and the path till independence has already been made.

That’s what’s being transmitted to me.

In that case, I haven’t reached that field of vision yet.

I even think that his eyes are not that of a merchant, but a politician.

No…in reality, there’s world prominent merchants that can even move politicians. The necessary qualities without doubt overlap.

“But it seems like you are worried.” (Makoto)

Yeah.

Rembrandt-san seems to be troubled by something.

No doubt.

“Yeah, there’s something I would like you to hear out.” (Rembrandt)

Those sharp eyes of his pierce me.

What’s making him like this?

I gulp down and wait for his words that seem to worry him more than even the independence of Tsige.

What kind of difficulties does he see ahead of independence?

“Lately…” (Rembrandt)

“Yes?” (Makoto)

“My daughter Sif has learned thought transmission…” (Rembrandt)

“…Huh? Thought transmission?” (Makoto)

I didn’t know.

Sif.

Aah, I met her at Kannaoi too.

I see, thought transmission, huh.

Maybe she noticed that it was convenient since she saw Shiki and I use it frequently?

There’s no doubt it is useful.

In this world, depending on the quality of your thought transmission, you could even manage to eat for your whole life with only that ability.

That’s the same understanding even in the Rotsgard Academy, and in terms of the feeling, it is close to a bookkeeper, I think.

There’s no loss in learning it, and if you master it, you can even get an earning from it.

And in reality, it is harder to learn than bookkeeping, and there’s many cases when learning other types of spells would be more important, so if they are going to learn thought transmission, it would be students that intend to become specialists in it.

I see, so Sif can now use thought transmission.

I wonder how many km she can go for?

Maybe I should push a training menu with that in it?

“Yeah, and she is conversing with the people in charge of thought transmission in each district as well as the top thought transmission user of our place.” (Rembrandt)

“That’s…impressive. There’s a whole lot less lag than letters, and you can now have talks with her…” (Makoto)

Rather than impressive, that’s crazy.

Each district?

And the thought transmission representatives of the companies are counting that as part of their job as well?

What is the Rembrandt Company doing?

The moment your daughter learned thought transmission, you created this kind of transmission network.

I am now seeing his parental affection as crazy.

“And so, I have been hearing about a variety of things from her recently.” (Rembrandt)

Hm?

Recently?

Ah…

I unintentionally open my mouth.

I made Sif do a battle of life-or-death in Kannaoi.

Sweat flowed down my forehead.

Shit.

This is pretty bad.

How am I going to come out of this safely?

Now that I think about it, Morris-san isn’t here.

I search the surroundings, but there’s no presence of him.

Has he already begun acting?

Was Rembrandt-san the bait to keep me here?!

“I am truly sorry for making them participate in a dangerous lesson in Kannaoi!!” (Makoto)

“Who is Misura?” (Rembrandt)

The words of Rembrandt-san and I overlap.

Apologizing as fast as possible is the basics of keeping the wound shallow.

Thinking that, I acted, but…Misura?

“Misura?” (Makoto)

“Kannaoi?” (Rembrandt)

Silence covered the space between Remrbrandt-san and I.

Yup, I messed up!

“Raidou-kun, did you say Kannaoi just now? Also, dangerous. You certainly did say dangerous. Isn’t that right?” (Rembrandt)

I did.

I did end up saying that.

Or more like, what’s most important after the independence of Tsige is Misura?

Wasn’t he told by his daughter-san while in tears about the spartan training incident in Kannaoi?

No, it looks like that in itself was also a big hit though.

“…Care to explain?” (Rembrandt)

Did the talk about that get lost in between the relays?

Maybe Sif didn’t tell him anything about that in the first place.

I don’t know the truth.

But it seems like I have stepped on the lion’s tail accidentally.

“Could it be that it has something to do with that Misura guy that Yuno has ended up going out with?” (Rembrandt)

Going out with?

Yuno and Misura?

What is he talking about?

“…”

“Is that a silence that says you know something? Or do you really not know? But you do know about this dangerous lesson in Kannaoi, right, Raidou-kun? Ah, right. How about having dinner with me today? No, maybe breakfast too? I will schedule it at once. I would like to listen in detail about how those girls have been lately. Right right, the marine products of Koran have increased in quality quite a bit. I would like you to enjoy them, hahahaha.” (Rembrandt)

The eyes of Rembrandt-san were not laughing at all.

I’ll probably be swimming with the fishes of Tsige today.

Even though I safely returned to Tsige, even though I am only at the stage where I am looking at the independence of Tsige!

Rembrandt was going: ‘But my daughter is that age, you know’.

‘I knew that such a day would come’.

‘But going out with my daughter without even telling me?’

‘Is Misura that kind of bum?’

‘There’s no doubt about it. Then, there’s no way I would let such a person go out with my daughter’.

…Hahaha, Rembrandt-san ain’t stopping.

In a sense, you could say that he has completely returned to normal.

Today might have had good weather, but a part of it was a big storm.

With this, I feel like I have returned to the usual everyday.

I am sure soon after I will get dragged into the independence mess, or something with the students, but I feel like I have returned.

  1. Was hoping for the mc to get yuno and sif. Sif still has a chance. But the yuno thing was well out from left field by the author. The author has been doing that too much lately. Doing some stuff here and there for shock value. Not a fan when stuff like that happens. Whelp at least we got 305 and 306 awesome slice of life chapters. XD

    1. I kind of saw it coming in the last arc when she was eyeing izumo, and kind of flirting with him, but hopefully sif wont go the same way, that’s my hope.

  2. Realistically there is no way for aion to supress tsige since makoto isn t just going to let it fall anyway. Not much suspance in this lmao

  3. I’ll probably be swimming with the fishes of Tsige today….XD
Hahaha truly a good title for this chapter.
Poor Misura this is one doting father he will have to deal with in the future.

      1. well Sif got the connections with Rembrandt & all nonetheless. But it’s very unlikely Makoto will have any more love interests now that things with Tomoe & Mio were “completed”

        1. Yeah. Pretty much anyone other than Hasegawa and Club Pres has to go through Tomoe and Mio for permits.

          1. Pretty much what the other two said. Tomoe and Mio definitely know about them to some extent, and his memories would’ve included his feelings so the two followers wouldn’t be able to give them a hard time.

You might say “What about Toa?”, but Toa isn’t romantically interested to Makoto (dang twisted aesthetics)…just grateful.

          2. during the demon race arc i saw people hyping up ‘Sari supremacy’ in the comments. i thought that was some kind of spoiler. so much for making me hyped as well

          3. That’s just them saying “loli supremacy” like usual loli-lovers do.

Someone could argue that there were two other loli that already showed up but it’s understandable that they (fans) would not act because those two aren’t likely going to be Makoto’s comrades.

    1. Same here
I though that cuz first time they meet MC, they show that they want to love him like… they don’t read book by its cover anymore
Im a bit down but well~

  4. And Yet, it’s still a big question wheter Pione knew or not about this recent info.

That M**** guy (forgot his name) of PRG was actually under Tomoki Charm this whole time, and Yet, Instead of baring her fang toward him as the reason to why her friend escaped and got killed, She nonchalantly bare it toward Makoto without knowing the culprit is nearby after all …. by pure dumb luck, none died, might be different story if PRG is just a random ‘false’ vengeance driven that Makoto didn’t have any business with.

Dang, the guilt truck will run over her way harder than before …. she’s already shattered, now she’s gonna turned into dust

  5. Pione blamed Makoto for killing her friend. He only acted in self- defense. Excessive but can’t complain about being killed after you fail at killing someone yourself. Now, they would still be alive if they hadn’t escaped from prg. I had asked how could they have let them escape, and it turns out one of their members had been charmed and helped them escape. So, in essence that means her friends death is also partially that persons fault, doesn’t it? So….that’s it? They assault Makoto with the intent to kill as soon as he shows up because of his role in the death, but the underlying cause for that interaction to happen….nothing? Hmpth

  6. So ‘Moki’s charm is like a…, leech I guess? In the sense that it doesn’t so much propagate (and thus multiplying) but rather just jumps hosts. That it can affect males is troubling, but worse that it seems to prefer female hosts. Probably drawing on ‘Moki’s tastes too, which is even worse considering the possible implications. Ugh. And if ‘Moki is bad, honestly my opinion of Bug just keep going lower to depths I never expected to exist. If ‘Moki is a schoolyard bully, Bug is his mom who is headmistress and keeps him out of trouble without bothering to straighten him out (or rather even actually pushing him to do worse), the enabler, which IMO is much worse

  7. You guys are forgetting something important. Author clearly shipped those 2 to MC earlier. So it rather feels forced… Also Yuno and her sister had a conversation of explaining themselves to MC but never did. This was a huge point the Author forgot about it. It feels unfair to the Reader.

It’s that secret topic of their past ugly selves and change they underwent, fearing MC would find out and wanted to tell him while getting closer. It left that impression but never happened!

  8. I just plowed through all 300 chapters over the last week or two I think and I’ve been wanting to comment on it for a while. First off, thanks to you Reigokai for translating this for so long. I’ve had so many things I’ve wanted to comment about from the way the characters treat Makoto to some of the ideology that is in the story. but rather than make some sorta long post about stuff that’s past I’m gonna jump straight into the discussion about this most recent chapters events.

I see a lot of the other readers are either happy or confused by Yuno supposedly going out with Misura. I think the author is using this in one of a couple of ways. The first one that I think being the most likely is that this whole thing is a misunderstanding on the part of Rembrandt, considering that he’s such a doting parent that he would easily jump to conclusions if anyone remembers the time just before Makoto left for Rotsgard and Rembrandt made a comment about what would he do if Makoto brought his daughters back to him with swollen bellies. Given how much they were chasing after Makoto, it’s quite plausible for this to be the author playing a little joke on Makoto.

The second way he could be using this is that he’s showing growth and development in the supporting cast. I agree with some people that Yuno’s desire to enter into a relationship with Makoto could simply boil down to the suspension bridge effect or her deep gratitude for being her savior but I believe that this is perhaps showing something that happens in people sometimes. Yuno and Misura have been fighting together and spending the better part of a year to a year and a half together. It’s easy to see that Makoto is Yuno’s first love but love can fade and new people can be added in. Just look at how Makoto feels regarding Mio, Tomoe and the two girls he left behind in Japan. Yuno will probably never stop loving Makoto, but now she will also love Misura.

Lastly, and before I turn this comment into an essay, just as come others have said already, it could be the author is coping out on something he set up a while ago. I don’t know if it was by their choice but it could also be that mayhap the editor decided to say something about the pairing and made Yunsura. But I suppose we’ll be finding out where this goes once we get the next chapters.

    1. You’re thinking of Daena. I think I spelled his name right. Mighta been Dannura. I forget, but Misura is the one that’s single and is being pressured to join the church.

  9. really hoping this altogether coupling off doesnt signal the rush ending of the series. i know some of us were expecting these ships but i think the most common statement is that we didnt expect it all to be happening so soon. i hope it just mean the author just wants to get the relationship aspect out of the way to open up new avenues of development.

    1. 1- Hahahahaha! Yeah, you cant escape Makoto! You have absolutely no right of privacy OR smooth sailing events! He just HAD to talk about Kannaoi huh? Just like others have said here, Sif should end with Jin…

1.1. Looks like Aion will really focus on Tsige from now on… time for some apostles to be crushed! Since it’s a fight between hyumans, that goddess can give blessings but shouldn’t complain, right?

2- Thanks for the chapter! From now there should be 2 extras? Can anyone spoil me who they will be about?

      1. I dunno man, Sif and Jin seem like it’d be even more forced than the apparent Yuno/Misura pairing.

      2. Well, at the very least, I would expect them to confess properly before moving on but…we never saw any progress on that front either, so anything goes I guess? It really was sudden for me as well.

  11. Sif with Jin?
Nah, he ended up with Sofia (the dragon slayer), heheh…
And Sif important for Makoto if he want to take over (or merge Kuzunoha with) Rembrant Company.

  12. oof at this rate it won’t be surprising if sif ended up with jin.
But yeah true it could be misunderstanding that Yuno is going out with misura…

  13. Thanks for the double chapter.

It’s possible that Yuno going out with misura was just a misunderstanding from Rembrandt part, due to how doting he is. Maybe the sisters talk about how Yuno spent much time with misura, training their combat cooperation and Rembrandt overheard it, his doting sense activated and mistook it as his daughter going out with the guy.
Could be funny if that’s what happened.
    😂

  14. Sad that yuno wont be going with makoto here but maybe the going out is perhaps just for training purposes. Even so i’ll be sadder if sif also ends up with someone else too. also no matter what happens in tsige and what trump card aion has, makoto being there will grant them independence anyway. as such rembrandt has no cause for concern

  15. Feels like the author took a sabbatical saw how many isekais were going explosive harem route and now he’s probably thinking he should try and go a slightly different way with less of a large harem. I mean two girls isn’t exactly a harem at least how I perceive plus all of us readers had tomoe and mío more set in stone. It’s also possible that sif and yuno really looked at their situation and the odds of them getting his affection ultimately deciding it wasn’t possible.

  16. I don’t like the Misura-Yuno development. I understand that it was already hinted at during the preceding chapters, but it just feels so forced. If Sif falls for one of the one students too, then it will become explicitly clear that the author is willingly forcing that development. We’ve all grown so used to Sif and Yuno being enamored with Makoto, so this feels like a slap in the face to the readers who were hoping for a harem route including those two (who I’m sure there are a lot of). It feels like a cop-out — like he wanted to solidify the romance aspect of the novel after years of writing it like a harem, and so just made convenient pairings and used subtle hints in order to justify it.

  17. Phew~ I misread for a moment and thought that it was Sif that was going out with Misura.

I’m fine with it being Yuno because in the first place, Yuno’s feelings felt like it were more of gratitude towards Makoto. Sif on the other-hand feels like she is making herself look more appealing to the Kuzonoha company by ways of ability, so she could join them one day and be closer with Makoto

  18. I’m confused. Weren’t Yuno and Sif be by Makoto’s side? It has been so long that I dunno anymore if it was just Sif. Or, thinking right now, a ploy.

    1. I just hope this is not the signs of the author trying to wrap everything up so he can just shut down the webnovel. Because Makoto should get the girls he was supposed to get!

  19. though it outta nowhere, i don’t mind yuno with Misura, Sif are the better choice anyway, but i also suspect Sif will move in the future, unless makoto start seeing the student more serious personally, i can see Sif move to Jin, it’s still a good match somehow

though i honestly want makoto to have relation to one hyuman girl to redempt his discrimination to hyuman, though this can also be filled with Toa, she just can’t win with Hasegawa and her chance are pretty much small and depend on if the earth girl will be relevant in the future or not, and i still think the 2 girl in earth still had some role later on because it’s weird in side story they still has so many story for them like the author purposely put them safely in the side bench before one day throwing them to the main field

  20. You truly spoil us Regokai, by the way since when are Misura and Yuno going out, and wasn’t Misura the married guy of the group???

    1. Misura already has a wife. Well, I guess Misura will have a harem. He needs to ask his wife for permission first though.

  21. Well then looks like the deal with the charm was solved. It’s starting to sound like a sentient virus if it can hop from one person to another.

Ah yeah Makoto may want to find out if his store in Rotsgard isn’t also doing this super discount sale.

Yuno and Misura? It didn’t really feel like there was anything romantic going on between them to me. It just felt like Yuno was really looking up to Misura because of how great at defense he is which she isn’t as great at. Like that one passionate gaze she gave him was because she’s idolizing him and is burning to learn how to defend like him. I feel like Yuno and Misura are just going out to train and Rembrandt is just in his normal idiot father-mode and has just assumed they were going out romantically after hearing about it from Sif.

  22. Are Yuno and Misuru going out or are they going out?
One is special other other is friends training together.

Are they together as a couple or are they going out as in seeing each others strength and weakneesses and becoming adventurer couple (adventurers who always work together if possible) and training together.

  23. “Apologizing as fast as possible is the basics of keeping the wound shallow.”
Yeah, that’s also the basics of getting 10 to 20 on charges you weren’t brought in for.

  24. Thanks for the chapter.

Which one is Misura again? He’s not the one with the wife, is he? Does Rembrandt need to go chop chop chop?

  25. Do not forget Murphy’s Law or rather Makoto’s law perhaps it is a misunderstanding that transforms the bonfire into hell.

  26. Do not forget Murphy’s Law or rather Makoto’s law perhaps it is a misunderstanding that transforms the bonfire into hell

  27. No se olviden la Ley de Murphy o mejor dicho la ley de makoto tal vez es un malentendido que transforme la hoguera en un infierno

  28. As long as Yuno didnt return house with melon stomach, its ok. Its part of life falling in love naturally.
Rembrandt maybe jealous of Misura for now for gaining Yuno’s attention. He was a doting father we knew from the earlier chapters.

Now, Makoto looks like a a son-in-law of Rembrandt here for explaining things closely

  29. If the author is getting serious with romance, as opposed to keeping it as a harem whether nothing is resolved, then it makes sense to start cutting out the “minor players”.

Harems when the author tries to do “serious romance” end up being tedious, where chapters and chapters are spent on “harem maintenance” as opposed to advancing the story.

    1. But in Yuno case it’s somewhat feels forced. I know it was hinted before, but Yuno has been in love with Makoto for months and then BAM, Yuno fell in love with Misura in one day.

Honestly it’s scary how fast she changes heart. My THOT radar is detecting some things. Hopefully it’s a false alarm.

      1. The sisters might have “fallen in love” with Makoto but their actual relationship with him has been pretty bland this entire time.

Not only does he constantly keep them at a distance, but they are also aware that he’s really close to Tomoe and Mio.

It’s not really strange that they lost interest in him romantically.

      2. I agree. Feels forced despite subtle hint (or close to one). I mean, I didn’t take that seriously.

I do not like the idea of no harem because it was supposed to be one. That is why you don’t stop writing. The story makes a path that alcka connection.

It might just be a misunderstanding of the father like someone else said down below. I’m okay with it but I doubt it.

I do agree that love needs proximity. But to hell with that! This is fantasy and for me an all happy ending for main characters is a must.

I just fear the author wanting to rush-end the story. Because:
        – he has been so distant hr now doesn’t want ti cintinue writting;
        – or he wants to shut down the web novel;

    2. I can agree with that. As it is, there’s a rather large cast here so I’m sure that trying to manage the relationships here is already a rather large headache just for the author themselves.

  30. I think that the relationship between Yuno and Misura really isn’t Makoto’s fault.
Other than the fact that it’s because he started teaching a practicals class…
Which was the fault of Rembrandt in the first place.
    Karma, I guess.

  31. Thank God…
Oh, I meant, thank reigokai san.

    Still, yuno x misura huh.
I am not surprise that they come together.

However, isn’t misura the shield dude who may be recruited by Limia?

If he is recruited by Limia, won’t yuno end up becoming a ?information source? on tsige and kuzunoha.

    Now, the qns is…
Will sif shift from Makoto to someone else (e.g. Jin)

    1. i think Limia already understand not to meddle with makoto student waay too deep, and kuzunoha won’t let the student defenseless either now Shiki completely see them as disciple, whether it’s Misura, or Yuno

  32. Thanks for both the chapters. I thought for sure his harem was building up, he needs to take care of Tamaki and the demon girl next. It’s open season, now he’s not a cherry boy. Sif and Yuno are still carrying a torch, I don’t think the situation they’re talking about with Misura is romantic.

  33. I’m glad Yunonis with Misura so that she won’t try to be with Makoto. Also it seems like the charm is “alive” in a way. It moved from the dude to Shii and it woukd have been dangerous if it had moved to someone more powerful with in Makotos group, like tomoe or mio. And yes I know it would not work on them but if it behaves like a parasite and they didn’t notice it it would then move and spread in Asora becoming a giant pain in the ass.

  34. Thank you for the double release, Reigokai-sama! *bows*

Makoto should have followed the ‘Silence is Golden’ rule.

  35. Well, misura and yuno was already shipped before the author went hiatus though to be honest it really feels forced in my opinion. Well as long as Sif as still for Makoto then all is fine lol. She’s the better sister, in looks and talents anyways and overshadows yuno by a lot. With yuno dropping out it’ll open up more slots for better candidates I guess?

  36. Thanks for the double chapter Reigokai-san !

Wait I thought when Yuno felt interest to Misura at Kannaoi, it would be step by step before they going out. wow that… sure… fast…

So if I’m borrow term from ATLA, it seem not only Izumo and Iroha that got life changing field trip at Kannaoi.

    1. LOL really pitied him. He got more issued to be worried now.

It’s just like the title Unconventional Luck that Makoto had surely and slowly passed to Misura.

    2. Rei-san is awesome as always. Tgabk you very much for all the hard work as usual.
I think rather then shipping it’s more to do with the teamwork in how they are setup as Yuno was supposed to be on defence with Misura but Yuno, lacking in ability to help in defence and she saw how awesome Misura was. So it’s most likely to with team training and composition. They are probably still gunning for Makoto as he is there life saver.

    3. Poor guy, just got away from the chaos surrounding the love life of Izumo, and now he’s stepped on a landmine himself…probably have all the forces of Rotsgard and Tsige amassed to reenact the battle in Kannaoi, with Misura as the main target of both sides this time….

    4. I dunno!! Hahah did yuno confess to misura? And misura felt pressured and was like “Eh? Ah. Okay.” xDDD

  37. 2 chapter ? thanks alot

but last chapters feel like extra chapters to me other than this episode there is nothing about story kind of . Again if its tsuki i would read it and where did that yuno x misura thing come from out of nowhere

      1. Yeah and it’s not really surprising. Their initial attraction was the fact he was their saviour, which is a “suspension bridge” effect. Can’t see their feelings holding up especially since Makoto treats them as his students and nothing more than that.

  38. What was that old saying again? “Out of the frying pan, into the fire?” That quote pretty much sums up the chapter… For several days the items in the Kuzunoha store was on sale for 99% off. I can even believe it went on for a week max. Makoto, you are capable of long distance thought transmission! You should have put a stop to the craze… even if it doesn’t trouble you in the end… I wonder whose order it was to host such a crazy sale. Surely it wasn’t… Ema? Sigh. Truly a legend is born! Lol!

    1. Who’s Misura?
Ah, he’s one of Waka-sama’s students, isn’t he?

I thought both sisters were quite fond of Waka-sama as his students. This development was pretty quick, isn’t it?

  39. WHAT?! Yuno and Misura!!! What and how and why and when and where and Makoto and eh?!

Well this is interesting! So out of left field that I never would have guessed. Did anyone see this coming?

    1. I called it back when the hiatus just began. In chapter 297, Mio began complimenting how well Yuno and Misura worked together (she seemed like she may have been intentionally shipping them together), and Yuno looked at Misura passionately. It was pretty clear this was going to happen, though I feel like this happened too quickly, she and her sister have been in love with Makoto for years and have been planning to marry him and help manage his company. Over the course of one day, suddenly she fell in love with Misura.

      1. Right. It’s weird that Yuno and her sister was in love with Makoto for months and then BAM, Yuno fell in love in a day to Misura.

Sorry, my THOT radar are picking things.

      2. Oh yes that happened, for some reason I thought it was Izumo she made the comment about.

Yes I do agree it just snapped around so bloody fast especially when there was no previous hints and they seemed more Kong goal focussed on Makoto. I wonder what is going to happen to Sif?

    2. Why are you so surprised? It was already hinted during the Kannaoi fight, when she gave him the “passionate” gaze.

      1. I thought it was Yuno teasing him. And certainly didn’t expect this to just snap around in something like a day In their time

    3. It’s not that surprising, the author have been giving a lot of hints during the fight in kannaoi, Yuno was quite impressed with Misura during the fight.

      1. She mentioned that she may fall for him once and she made passionate eyes once. Yuno, the Rembrandt sister that does seem rather passionate and taking cues from Eris. I read that line and thought she was becoming passionate about having someone to challenge herself against/improve against. Whilst also make a joke.

And again no cues/clues anywhere previously that either sister had given up on Makoto.

    4. I’m honestly fine with it. I like the Makoto + Mio + Tomoe group and haven’t really seen other characters I want inserted into that group (even including the two girls on Earth).

Probably because not many other characters have as much characterization as them, aside from Shiki and maybe the heroes.

      1. Oh I didn’t say I wasn’t ok with it, I am just surprised that this happened so fast with relatively little warning To the readers besides a line or two when they appear Kannaoi.

    5. I was reading over some old chapters.
In one of them, Yuno was talking to someone about relationships, and said she will be first wife, or not at all.

That was a pretty clear clue that Yuno was *never* going to be part of a Makato harem, as much as Yuno adores him.
(Not with Tomoe and Mio clearly out in front.)

      1. If my memory serves me correctly that was said during a time that she still seemed to have eyes for him. I believe it was said before the whole Rotsgard festival. And remember during that festival there was the ball room dance where their mother gave them advice on how to woo Waka-sama, she seemed pretty interested in the advice and wooing Waka-sama at that point. (Unless she said that after the rebuilding of Rotsgard and Waka-sama’s return to the academy after his trip).

I believe the whole first wife thing was for all of the other proposals that they received from other people. Bear in mind she was well aware at the time that her sister felt the same way as she did and she would likely have to compete with her for the first wife position.

    6. She’s a moody girl, first was Izumo and then Misura(don’t know if Makoto included too), maybe she’ll lose interest soon

      1. Isn’t Tsukuyomi-kamisama also a God? A much better one than the bug? Reigokai seems more like Tsukuyomi to me

    1. hello, sorry for my english first but just want to ask a question and i know it is stupied but why Rembrandt is living well all this time after what he has done before and others get exceuted because they were controlled and they had no control over their actions, if i remeber correctly he killed the his ex fiance and her father to take control

      1. Good question, quite simply he became so powerful other people weren’t readily able to attack him. The only time they were able to Waka-sama intervened.

Power serves as a very potent shield and armour. Plus justice is few and far between in that world. Or any world really.
