I am dreaming.

How many times is this now? I am already getting used to this sight.

But this time around it was a little different.

The Goddess that normally welcomed me with a smile had her hands on her waist and glaring at me.

β€œLucy! Calm down. He has lost consciousness, but he is still breathing. First we need to provide emergency treatment, and head to a hospital immediately.” (Emily)

Jean is carrying me, and Emily is casting healing magic on me.

Lucy seems to be panicking quite a lot.

I am sorry, everyone. Making you guys worry like this.

β€œIt was thanks to you that the Griffon was defeated, so of course they would get desperate to save the one who saved them.” (Noah)

I see. At any rate, I am glad everyone is okay.

When you get the divine protection of a Goddess, the believer gets a strong power, and there’s times when it might make their body sturdier.

Looks like I was saved today thanks to that.

They are currently having a big party at the entrance.

Jean is surrounded by adventurers and going β€˜wai wai’.

There’s also a whole lot of female adventurers drawing close to him.

He is popular.

β€œThat Jean!” (Emily)

Emily plunged into that circle.

She is pulling away the female adventurers clinging to Jean.

It is someone else’s business, but you really have it tough.

β€œMy magic severely injured you…” (Lucy)

  1. Only thing I don’t like with this is that the power won’t come from him, but externally, he is ” just” controlling it. Only 15 chapters in though, who knows what will happen

  7. I’m honestly pretty disappointed that nobody is addressing the fact that it was our main boy who did the most in killing the griffin. The only thing that Lucy did was to be a battery for MC to do all the work and spell control, in addition to almost sacrificing his life for it, while all Jean did was be a meat shield and land the killing blow to a crippled opponent. Is this really not going to be addressed? Better keep reading I suppose.

  13. I honestly doubt most of the classmates have trained their abilities the MC has probably long since surpssse them in terms of skill. Considering how low most of their IQ’s seem it wouldn’t have surprised me if they think their cheats are enough to get them through everything. If those self proclaimed β€œgood” gods turn the former classmates I hope he mans up and kills them.

    1. I would honestly be annoyed if he just ups and kills them down the line. I’ve so far liked that this story doesn’t frame him as a total social outcast before dumping him out as a “rejected useless one” by the class.

      Granted, while this story has been interesting, it hasn’t really established itself as a subverter or otherwise exploration of tropes yet, so it’s hard to say where it will or won’t go relative to the predictable beats.
      But Takatsuki has done so well focusing on building himself up and interacting with other people like a mature and civil adult. It’s a pleasant blend of positive outlook and discouraging circumstance. If he goes on the edgelord Arifureta-style route, it would be a pretty disappointing loss of potential.

  16. Thanks again for the wonderfull translation, well Lucy just destroyed some theories around, but its nice I like this twist that would explain her powerfull mana and the rampaging of the power, wondering how well he will use spirit magic, I am thinking there is a big blessing there.

    But looking at the character it seem natural to be half demon ? ^^
    When they told us that elves don’t have red hair I thought that she was a demon but then they explain that she was half efl so I thought that it was because of her human half or the Monarch magic.
    But finally nope, she is half elf half demon ! XD
    The author seems to love playing around with the reader ! ^^

  19. Oho! That’s something I wasn’t expecting. Interesting. There goes my theory that her mom’s an otherworlder, but this is just as neat. Rather, I’m amazed her village was able to accept it that much at this point. Isn’t her papa the chief?

    Wow though, a divine protection already, huh? That…was faster than I expected. Noah acted mad, but she seemed pretty content.
    Spirit Magic suits Takatsuki too, since borrowing power from spirits would be a nice bypass of his low mana. It might be a good bluff for feigning weakness in time.

    1 believer per 10 years is bullshit, but I guess that’s what the aftermath of war is like. Plus, it neatly ties up the idea of Takatsuki having to go around recruiting people into his church.
    …Pfft. Technically, he’s the highest-ranking prophet/priest in Noah’s sect, isn’t he? Conversing with the goddess-sama directly and everything.

      1. She’s not flat. She just doesn’t have big ones. I mean, I think it’s safe to assume the cover on the table of contents shows Lucy anyway.

        Also, first girl would be Noah, not Lucy, right? Not sure how her figure is.
        Athough Takatsuki emphasizes her beauty a lot, I keep imagining a loli for some reason. Wonder if I’m pulling from the memory of another character or if immortal lolis are just that much of a thing now.
