Anywho, I knew Inflation was a yandere. However... I didn't think that she separated both her "yan" and "dere" sides.
Rather than separating, I feel like it's more a...distillation where the more "heavy" stuff is left to sink to the bottom so that the more pure top portion can keep on going.

As I understand it, nobody is safe with Yangiri and you can't really predict the trigger.
A Yandere is at least consistent and somewhat predictable because of it-Inflation being an excellent example of it.
But if you remove the "Dere", then you're literally taking the love portion of the definition out, aren't you? It's just a ticking time bomb mass murderer at that point.
Except that she isn't a Yangire. I don't think you know the difference between a Yandere and a Yangire. Ates(Inflation) is still a full-on Yandere who just happens to be in her yan phase of killing anyone between her and her love with her loved one.
On the other hand, a Yangire's crazy sprees have nothing to do with love.

See, I told you that Ates is Inflation's dark side that she rejected when she was Izanami. But, I did not expect Ates is the creator of Lucifer... well, maybe a little bit... But, just like the other demon lords defied their creators, I think Lucifer will also defies his creator, and betrayed Ates.

You know what, I just realized something. It is very fitting that the Light Demon Lord is named Lucifer. Lucifer is the creation of the evil part of the Light Goddess Inflation, and Lucifer was originally an Arch-Angel with the title "Son of the Morning Star" who fell from heaven (or in other texts was commanded to) and descended into Hell. A representation of all evils as well as The Betrayer. Thinking about it like that makes the name seem all the more fitting for this story.
Oh, and I just now thought of a funny coincidence. Considering that Lucifer, the Morning Star, is actually the planet Venus, and that in this story the creation of his character is centered around the concept of bringing the "love" of Entropy toward Inflation, I find it funny.
The author likely didn't plan for this, and it's likely just a coincidence, but I can't help but have wishful thoughts about this "coincidence" being planned.
Finally, I'll just quote something here since I had a bit of a hard time explaining it just from memory(it had been quite a long time since I had last read on the subject, so I just now looked it up to copy-paste an explanation of the last detail I wanted to mention):
"The morning star is an appearance of the planet Venus, an inferior planet, meaning that its orbit lies between that of the Earth and the Sun. Depending on the orbital locations of both Venus and Earth, it can be seen in the eastern morning sky for an hour or so before the Sun rises and dims it, or (as the evening star) in the western evening sky for an hour or so after the Sun sets, when Venus itself then sets. Venus is the brightest object in the sky after the Sun and the Moon, outshining the planets Jupiter and Saturn but, while these rise high in the sky, Venus never does. (In short, this is one of the hypothesized origin of the many myths about fallen deities like Lucifer across the world. After all, it was already known in Antiquity that the Morning Star and Evening Star were one and the same.)

Damn, I need to correct something I wrote(or rather, I'll just add a precision):
While it was known by the Ancient Greeks, Ancient Romans, and all Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations around that time(due to the spreading of Greek knowledge throughout the world), the reason why the Morning Star and Evening Star are named differently is that they obviously didn't know yet that they were the same thing back when they named them/it.
So when we call him Lucifer Morningstar, we're essentially saying his name twice, while simultaneously just translating the Latin meaning of his name after saying it in Latin.
That's how it usually is with Deities. Their names essentially are the representation of their power, authority, or significance.
Luficer wasn't the "son" of the Morning Star. The word "Lucifer" is literally Latin for "Morning Star", and also translates to "light bringer", since that's what the "Morning Star" did in ancient beliefs(and the "shining one", among other translations). The first "star" one hour before dawn.
Oppositely, the Morning Star was also the same as the Evening Star, which is the first "star" seen 1 hour before dusk.
The truth of it all is that this was when planets and stars weren't always differentiated, and this "star" with two names is actually the planet Venus reflecting the light of the Sun, and seen from Earth.
I sure am learning a lot this chapter, it's been very interesting. As for the "Son" part, I can't really say why I put it there. I was probably thinking of different things at the same time, but I thought it fit since Lucifer was also one of God's children. (In the sense that he was created by God and once served him as an Angel. Now I'm not sure if I remember anything correctly anymore. I ought to read up on this stuff).
This was predictable as soon as they said they were waiting for Lucifer.
Oh. I guess Ates and Yorishiro are years apart. Inflation's soul just reincarnated itself in separate portions. My "Fantasy harem of one" idea just became a bit more feasible. The neatest way to reconcile the wish fulfillment and monogamous values there is♥
I wonder if this was actually a conscious choice of Inflation and it's only that the sweet side wasn't split with the memory of it?
Regardless, I honestly feel pretty bad for Inflation-or rather, Yorishiro now. I don't know about anyone else, but I find the concept of confronting the idea that you're actually a terrible person to be one of the most dreadful experiences possible.
Of course, the "correct" answer here is to tell Haine everything.
Ates's weakness is ultimately the same as Yorishiro's in that sense and as far as shifting the blame goes...I mean, Ates makes a pretty good scapegoat, if you can even call her one.
As Mantle said, Entropy is kind. Even if he gets angry at Yorishiro, he'll probably get over it before the two of them return to their forms as gods.
...That said, it's amazing how much less trouble there would've been for everyone if Entropy had only given Inflation a bit more attention and affection than he did. It's typical of MCs, but that's the case even now. 250 chapters in and we still don't have a definitive response from Haine regarding how he feels about the romance.
