Chapter 234: That shield is deep underground

Sponsored Chapter

“Picnic Rose Garden?”

What an incredibly fun-sounding name.

And it is also such an unfitting name, I unconsciously said it again.

“Yes. That’s the name of the group. The problem is that they are in Lorel, but are a force that doesn’t have intentions of being attached to a specific country.” (Sairitz)

Sairitz-san welcomed me happily when I entered the room, and after guiding me to my seat, she immediately said that name.

It seems like it is a mercenary group that has high ability and excels at defense.

Even so, they are not participating in the war.

What’s with that?

Be it their name or their attitude, they are quite the shady group.

In the first place, is a mercenary group able to get a decent amount of money if they don’t participate in the war?

“And you are saying they will ally with Tsige as it currently is?” (Makoto)

“It is at a stage where there’s the possibility.” (Sairitz)

Sairitz-san shakes her head to the sides in regret.

“I heard that you had Rembrandt-san call me specifically. Why is that?” (Makoto)

For now, I don’t see much reason as to why this should be related to me.

In the first place, the mercenary group is staying at Lorel, so I don’t have much understanding.

Rather than me, I think that these are circumstances where Sairitz-san would have it easier than me.

“They are a slightly special existence in Lorel Union. They possess an ancestry with the Wise.” (Sairitz)

“Wise…” (Makoto)

She means Japanese people.

Accurately speaking, she refers to the people that come from the same world as me, but after investigating, I can only think Wise are japanese. If that’s not the case, they were people that possessed a lot of asian characteristics.

Thinking about the special culture that has taken root in Lorel, it is practically settled that they were japanese.

“Sairitz-sama, I have told you this before but…I am…” (Makoto)

“You are not a Wise, right? Yes, I understand. But in my eyes, Raidou-sama has enough traits to mistake you for a Wise-sama. The aforementioned mercenary group has strong faith towards the Wise because of their Wise ancestry, you see. If Raidou-sama were to go meet them, I think the conversation will go well. I -Sairitz- am sure of this.” (Sairitz)

Wise huh.

I have heard this word many times already, but there’s no doubt that’s a word denoting japanese people.

It seems like Lorel Union has been politely inviting the people that have slipped into this world to their country (not sure if that’s really the case though).

And by doing that, it affected the country’s culture as well.

For the people of Lorel Union, the Wise are special existences.

Yeah, how to say it…

“That’s why it is me? Moreover, right now?” (Makoto)

“Yes.”

Sairitz-san responds immediately with a smile.

The Aion revolution is currently in a lull state, and from what I know, the matter of Koran is not a big problem.

Tsige currently wants military force that can serve for their defense.

If it were a small matter like going to the Academy to teach lessons, there would be no need for hesitation, but to go all the way to Lorel and negotiate with the mercenary group, and then bringing them here. That’s a big job.

But…it is true that if we are to move, it has to be now.

Even if I can come and go from there to Tsige, I would still have to stay at Lorel for several days.

Sairitz-san, who still has that saint-like smile on her face, didn’t avert her eyes from me.

It is a face I can’t handle well.

For me who has been locked on by her since the time at the Academy festival and told to go to her country.

Honestly speaking, I feel like it will be very troublesome.

If only these insecurities weren’t in the way, it is true that I would like to go to Lorel.

“Uhm, Sairitz-sama, I do think as well that it would be beneficial to negotiate with that mercenary group. Thinking about the situation of Tsige, I can’t leave for so long, and I think it will be difficult to have a prolonged leave from the country.” (Makoto)

“Of course, I am not thinking about doing any formal event. Our priestess Chiya-sama is currently not in the country, and a person that serves as a replacement has not been elected either. It is disheartening that we are unable to entertain you adequately. You visiting our country is also one of our objectives, so in this time around, I was thinking about asking you to travel incognito. It may not be much in return, but I will do the best I can to accommodate the movements of the people of Kuzunoha company.” (Sairitz)

I was going to tell her to please spare me any stiffening events like the time when I went to Limia, but a joyful proposal was made.

…Fumu.

In that case, I would be able to go quickly and return quickly, probably.

I really do have a slight interest in Lorel, but with the situation of Tsige, there’s no time for that.

If it’s a negotiation with a mercenary group, it will probably be done in a few days.

Information of Kuzunoha company is relayed to me in real time, so in case anything happens, I can return immediately.

If I don’t need to worry about any strange entanglement with the country, this proposal of hers is valid.

Yeah.

“…You don’t mind it being incognito?” (Makoto)

“That’s right. I will prepare a promissory note by the time of your departure, so when you show that, you will be able to go anywhere you wish, Raidou-sama. I will also strongly order them to refrain doing any excessive reception. Of course, I will do my best to make it possible for Raidou-sama to make contact with the places and people that you get interested in.” (Sairitz)

“Ah, there’s no need to go that far.” (Makoto)

Being given too many privileges will make me stand out instead.

Just being able to freely walk in a foreign country is already a pretty big deal.

“No. Right now Lorel and I have been unable to give back anything worthy of repayment to Raidou-sama.” (Sairitz)

“Eh?” (Makoto)

“You have saved Chiya-sama and I several times… That’s how I feel.” (Sairitz)

“Haha…” (Makoto)

“And now then, about the place where the mercenary group, Picnic Rose Garden, are using as their base.” (Sairitz)

“Ah, yes.” (Makoto)

It is probably in the capital.

I know.

That’s always how it is.

It seems like that group has a lot of freedom, but there’s no doubt that Sairitz-san wants to invite me to the capital, so behind that smile of hers with no openings, she is definitely going to do something.

Lorel’s capital. If I remember correctly, the name’s Naoi.

Sairitz-san spreads out a map of Lorel as I was searching in my memories.

“…”

I unconsciously gulped.

What she had spread out, was a pretty detailed map of Lorel Union.

Towns, roads, and even the topography was shown.

The current me understands the worth of this.

…There’s no doubt that this map also shows confidential information of the country.

This may be too late since I have already seen it but, I feel like I have been trapped in her scheme.

It feels as if I am being led to her pace.

“Our Lorel wants to have a good relationship with the Kuzunoha company and Raidou-sama. If possible, we want to have a long lasting equivalent relationship. So for us, disclosing this amount of information is a given. Please don’t mind it.” (Sairitz)

“I also think that would be great. But it seems like your priestess-sama is scared of me, so I don’t know if it is a good idea to show me this.” (Makoto)

“It is certainly true that the words of our country’s Priestess-sama are sacred. Her will translates to the will of the country, and there are many cases where it translates to the will of the people as well. However…I don’t know what Chiya-sama has seen of Raidou-sama, and what she feared of it, but currently, she is in a special standing in our country. In a sense, that is.” (Sairitz)

“What do you mean by ‘In a sense’?” (Makoto)

“I would have to explain various things if I were to delve deeper into it, which would be difficult to do with the limited time we have now. If I had to put it briefly…it means that the words of the priestess are not necessarily always absolute.” (Sairitz)

“Not absolute huh.” (Makoto)

From what I interpreted, the words of the Lorel priestess were practically absolute, but…is that not the case?

Also, Sairitz-san. I think she definitely did it on purpose but, when she said priestess, she didn’t add the ‘-sama’.

There’s probably some sort of meaning behind that.

It is a bit impossible for me to guess what that is though.

“Yeah. For the people of Lorel, animosity towards the Priestess-sama is treated as a definite evil, but Raidou-sama doesn’t see Chiya-sama in that way.” (Sairitz)

“I have no intentions of bringing harm to the Priestess-sama.” (Makoto)

Just what kind of idiot would go through the trouble of being hostile to the person that a foreign country treats as valuable?

In Japan, there’s a great teaching saying that when entering a country, you should treat their people well.

…I slightly forgot that in the Empire though.

“…Thank you very much. And so, regarding the place that Raidou-sama will be going, it is here.” (Sairitz)

Just like I thought, Sairitz-san pointed at the capital of Lorel, Naoi…and from there, she slowly moved her slender finger to the right.

Eh?

“This is the second city of our country, Kannaoi. There was a time when this place was our capital, and there’s been history of this city fighting with the current capital Naoi.” (Sairitz)

Kannaoi…

Hm?

Naoi…

No wait, isn’t that…

“Kannaoi, is it. The mercenary group is there?” (Makoto)

“Raidou-sama, is the name strange?” (Sairitz)

I had my doubts, but I definitely didn’t show it in my face, and yet, she saw through me.

“Ah, yeah. I was just thinking that Lorel really does have some peculiar names for their places.” (Makoto)

I tell her the most plausible excuse I find.

“I see. Actually, Naoi as well. It isn’t recorded in the official history books, but there was a time when it was called Oonaoi, or something like that.” (Sairitz)

Oonaoi and Kannaoi.

I also think…that’s the case.

If that’s really the case, the ‘real’ names would probably be Oonaobi and Kannaobi.

Then there should be another place with a name similar to the other one.

“Oh, I have derailed from the topic. Raidou-sama, after you have finished your preparations, can you please visit this other place that’s slightly north?” (Sairitz)

Uwa, there it is.

A place that definitely doesn’t look safe.

“Yaso-Katsui Valley. I want to ask you to please head to the labyrinth dungeon that stretches underground this valley.” (Sairitz)

Underground.

Labyrinth.

And Yaso-Katsui.

It is probably Yaso-Katsu*hi*.

It is probably based on the 80 calamities God, Yaso-Magatsuhi

Ah~, I have a bad feeling about this.

Placing such a name to a valley.

And it is underground, moreover, a labyrinth.

In the first place, I don’t like confined places much.

I already had an experience not long ago which made me know that I hate participating in things like dungeons or labyrinths.

The 80 calamities God wasn’t necessarily an evil God, and there’s people that worship him as a God that purifies misfortune, but…in this case, I think the name was placed because it brings forth misfortune.

Just what is it hiding there?

The Goddess?

Is it that damn Goddess?

“W-Why the labyrinth?” (Makoto)

“At the 20th floor of that labyrinth, also known as Rose Garden, they live there. I have already told them that we will be going there, so it is fine to go there to have a talk and negotiate.” (Sairitz)

20th floor underground?

What’s with that pleasant depth.

Don’t tell me that labyrinth is connected to hell.

Hm, labyrinth?

Not a cave?

“Ah—”

“It seems like there’s been a problem recently, but Yaso-Katsui labyrinth is currently calmed down. Raidou-sama shouldn’t have any problems at all in that labyrinth, right?” (Sairitz)

“By the way, uhm…why is it not a cave but a labyrinth?” (Makoto)

“Oh, sorry for that. I thought that Raidou-sama would already know. What a blunder of mine.” (Sairitz)

Okay. Second bad feeling I am getting here.

Why did Sairitz-san assume that I knew?

“The big labyrinth that extends underground Yaso-Katsui is where the Superior Dragon ‘Night Clad’ lives. A place the Shadow Dragon that governs over darkness -Futz- has created. It isn’t a labyrinth that was created naturally, but a honest-to-word labyrinth.” (Sairitz)

The labyrinth being big was bad news, but learning that the main cause of the place’s name was actually a Superior Dragon is good news.

What. It wasn’t that it was connected to hell or that it had something to do with the Goddess, but just about a Superior Dragon.

Then there’s no need to worry.

I honestly think that it is a pain to go 20 floors down, but if it’s that kind of dungeon, there should be things like shortcuts and those kind of stuff.

It is the country that’s the most related to Japan after all!

“I see. So that’s how it is. Understood. Sairitz-sama, thank you for the information. I will take it into consideration with a positive outlook. And so, I want to meet you before long.” (Makoto)

“I am happy to hear that answer. In around a few days I will be able to give you the promissory note. I will contact you once again via the guild.” (Sairitz)

A mercenary group that seems to be living at the 20th floor of a giant dungeon.

It is certainly good information.

I will talk with Rembrandt-san about this and gather information about them.

And if there’s no problem, I will try meeting them.

If possible, I want them to become the shield that protects this town.

“Ah.”

“What is it?” (Sairitz)

“Sorry, I just thought of something. Well then, I will be taking my leave, Sairitz-sama.” (Makoto)

I bow and leave the room.

And then, I turn my thoughts towards the reason why I let out my voice.

Which follower should I bring with me?

It is not a task that has to be done by today, but I feel like there will be an intense battle royal occurring in Asora once again.

Since it is Lorel, Tomoe is going to be persistent.

A Superior Dragon might be appearing in this matter, so I feel like Tomoe is the better choice, but I don’t think we will be able to have leisure time there.

With the matter of the birth of hot springs, Tomoe’s interest in Lorel has dimmed slightly compared to the past.

Now then…I pray that this matter somehow resolves in a calm and peaceful manner.

It will probably be a wish that won’t become true.

For now, I decide to just go to Rembrandt-san’s place to give him the report.

  1. In Japan, there’s a great saying that when entering a country, you should treat their people well.
Hahaha, yeah, that was just how they treated their fellow Asian at their invasion at the World War II. Bullshit

  2. “It seems like there’s been a problem recently, but Yaso-Katsui labyrinth is currently calmed down. Raidou-sama shouldn’t have any problems at all in that labyrinth, right?” (Sairitz)

A splendid flag you’ve raised. There’s no way the dude who randomly got hit with Root nuking his vicinity or Rambrendt planning his independence would also find trouble in the unstable labyrinth.

Btw, did anyone ever take care of the shadow egg? Lancer, Waterfall, and Crimson Light have been take care of (egg delivered, hatched, and killed again to erase their memories), but I forget about Darkness Clad. Did Root deliver that one or is it waiting for Makoto to bring it to its familiars in the dungeon?

  3. well, makoto about to run into a world of cringe becuz of how much embarrassing things the wise(basically the eccentric japanese/a very cultured japanaese) did and incorporated in lorel(just some things, not everything but still embarrassing for the normal him)

  4. This sounds like a trap some what. o_ 0 Something feels off. x. x But as long as he takes one of his followers, there shouldn’t be a issue.

  5. The Naivety of Makoto really adds up to the climax of an arc which I like a lot
(plus the constant char. development) .

I love how his so naive but when he snaps. S*it will always go down. I dont know but the naivety adds a little bit of spice reading it.

In my point of view gigabrain Mc’s tend to be transparent without depth to it and would tend to break on climaxes or getting engulf to breakdowns. Wherein characters just like Makoto with a mixture of naivety and absolute power is such a pleasure to watch when beating someone who loves scheming into a pulp.

  6. Well, at least our boy is getting smarter. Just wish he would stop letting people trap him. She gained at least 3 more pieces of proof that he is a “wise”. Then he had to throw red flags all over the field at the end…

    1. I mean at this point since Hibiki knows => Chiya knows => Saritz should almost definitely know. I assume she knows, and he knows she knows, but they are both pretending not to know for politeness sake.

  7. Makoto still lets others push him and does not negotiate enough information and other benefits in compensation. At least he’s trying to improve

  8. “You have saved Chiya-sama and I several times… That’s how I feel.” (Sairitz)”

He saved Chiya when he went to the Limia capital as the Devil/special action hero, and that’s not something she should know about.

    1. “The big labyrinth that extends underground Yaso-Katsui is where the Superior Dragon ‘Night Clad’ lives. A place the Shadow Dragon that governs over darkness -Futz- has created.”

Night Clad’s name is Doma tho, not Futz.

  9. Hmm, Tomoe would good and at the same time no, his ability will be useful in both side, Mio could be problematic considering that is a dark dragon so maybe a clash between both could happen, she also can help a lot in Koran so that’s other point, Shiki is to busy with so much things so is better if he don’t go.

  10. So I’m browsing the term Oonaobi and Kannaobi, and found this verse “…Kannaobi Oonaobi ni minaoshi kikinaoshi mashite…” from prayer to Inari Okami. So what Makoto might ponder about other similar words might be minaoshi and kikinaoshi. I don’t know the meaning though

  11. “In Japan, there’s a great teaching saying that when entering a country, you should treat their people well.
…I slightly forgot that in the Empire though.” 💥💣💣💣
Not to worry Makoto-san! Your sound blocking barriers around where you were treating Trash-moki to an extended ‘lesson in manors.’
Trash-moki was only one to know how easily you repeatedly crushed his fighting pride. No way that guy let word get out of his pitiful condition. Especially since you healed his parts you broke, he didn’t have to crawl to a doctor or healer for his body’s incapacitation.
    Lol
    Thx for the chapter 😎

  12. I am now trying to be the the last commentator but it harder than 1st , because someone can always comments after me. Thanks for the chapter. =)

  13. God damn it. Where did the MC who will go at is own pace go. sigh
I was hoping he had progressed enough not to be led by the nose, its convenient that the one follower could read minds goes off to the port. Mia clearly has a more vested interest in it so why send the Dragon… w/e back being the worrywart easily outmaneuvered MC.

  14. Thanks for the chapter.
It would be interesting if he brought Tamaki with him to the labyrinth but I kind of doubt it since he kind of banned her from leaving Asora. 😑😑😑

  15. Thanks for the Chapters~
So is he going to that world’s equivalent of Yomi now?
I wonder what personality a Superior Dragon Darkness would have?
Would it be a grim dragon? A lazy dragon? A Chuuni-dragon(Dark Flame Master?, Waga Nawa Nightclado ?) ? A Lonely Dragon? A Yami-dere Dragon? Fukoda~ Dragon? Clumsy Dragon? Loli Dragon? None of the ones mentioned Dragon? Dead Dragon? Baby Dragon?

  16. It is probably based on the 80 calamities God, Yaso-Magatsuhi.

Megaten has prepared me for this. Better pack that status ailment resist!

    YasoMagatsuhi!

  17. Thanks for the cahpter I am wondering if there is a special ground in Asora for the sole porpuse of guetting resolution in a battle royal manner for the rigths of the followers!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHA. That mercenary group names sounds suspicious as hell I think I already hear about them in the spoilers.

  18. thanks for the chapter!

“Which follower should I bring with me?”
In a world in the middle of a great race war, ravaged by corruption, fractured country by civil wars, there was one battlefield feared more than anything else.
It was named the Waifu War!

  19. Thanks for the chapter reigokai-sensei…

  23. Thanks for the double-chapter Reigo-senpai.

Guys… Spoiler-san is still back home in the 5th dimension as a Hikkomori and a NEET right now… but I can give one small spoiler myself as Reigokai’s almost caught up with the raws. Tamaki’s not going because she’s still “too green”. I’m not going to say who goes though.

  24. Does he know that he’s been used? I really don’t get it what is in makoto’s head about this. Can someone share your opinions , because I always think that Makoto is really stupid on this -_-
    Thanks for the chapter

  25. Thank you kindly for your hard work as always ! Please don’t go overexhausting yourself ! Burn out is a real issue so please, don’t be reckless! We will survive if you take a bit more time between chapters, yes we can endure!

I’m going to wait some weeks before starting reading all the juicy chapters of this new arc 😀

    Thank you again Reigokai-San!

  26. If you remember in a dream of Makoto, Lorel was destroyed, I think that if we analyze what the gods said about the intervention of humans in other world always brings problems. Lorel would be the capital of evil and unattractive to the gods. I think Sairitz is hiding everything because she knows that Chiya is against and if she finds out she will bring problems to her position as lorel’s leader.

I think we’re going to see the first nation that’s going to screw up on how to deal with Makoto.

  27. Admiral Achbar: “It’s a trap!”

Makoto: “But it’s not the bug goddess, so who cares?” 😅

Makoto wants to learn about other people’s evil intentions, but judging by this chapter he’s still got a ways to go. 😥

      1. Makoto is his own trap~ He is like the abyss, stare at his essence and that thing which drowned a loli in fear will look at you eye to eye, anyone who tries to bury him underground and you fall on the trap they created themselves.

  28. Wow. I’m in the top 75. Once again, thanks for the chapters. When can we have some excitement?

  29. Reblogged this on Regarding Being Saved by Anime, Manga, Light Novels and Visual Novels, or simply AMLNVN. and commented:
WOOHOO! 2 Chapters of Tsuki ga Michibiku in a day?! May God bless you Reigokai-sama.

With Re:Creators, Hunter x Hunter (2011) and this in such short amount of time, I think I’ll simply say “screw Economics Written test!”. No, seriously. Screw it. Hobby (reason of living) first and then school/work.

Let’s all learn from Itami-san (Gate – Thus the JSDF Fought).

  30. Hello everyone. Agent here, and I’d like to introduce myself as your new neighbour.

Firstly, I’d like to thank Reigokai-san for the translations. Good work as always!
    *silent clap*

This time we have 2 sponsored chapters (Reigo-emon really pulled this one out of his 4d pocket huh?). So, expect the normal release of chapter 235 according to normal schedule. That is … tomorrow at the earliest or the day after. Don’t worry, I’ve given Reigokai enough caffeine to wake him for 24 hours.
*takes out i.v bag, drip tube, syringe*

Secondly, our regular transporter/killer, Truck-kun, has been dealt with by angry mob. Witness told me that was the the real him and that must’ve been his ultimate demise.

He won’t show up anymore. No one to threatens us anymore (even the false prophet, Raizu, celebrated briefly and continued his work as before).
    Rejoice, everyone !

    See you all later!

  31. “Now then…I pray that this matter somehow resolves in a calm and peaceful manner.

It will probably be a wish that won’t become true.”

Nice going 👍🏽 raising the flag ⛳️ only to acknowledge that it won’t be broken or isn’t going anywhere.

Also, who are u praying 🙏🏽 to?

    1. Sure, take the one follower you have suspicions about, and bring her to a place that simply reeks of trouble. 🤔

…Actually, that does kinda sound like Makoto. 😥

  32. Thanks for the chapter. Sometimes I wish Makoto would punch Sairitz in the mouth. I hate how she keeps saying wise. Also I hope Makoto would bring Tamaki out, now that would be interesting.

    1. I second that. Would be nice to have a “real” shrine maiden do some sightseeing in a country that is trying to be all japanese and sees a priestess as their leader.

      1. Wouldn’t it be more like “Fakes… I see fakes everywhere! Just how fake can you be?! Why hasn’t this country been sued for copyright infringement yet!”

  33. *sniffs the air* Umu, I can smell the stench of schemes.

But honestly, this is the first time we read about someone with the guts to make his headquaters in an dragons lair. Bold, stupid but bold.

  34. “I slightly forgot that in the Empire though…”
Makoto kinda went his evilest there (for good reason)…
Hopefully nothing will happen in Lorel xD

  35. “Just what kind of idiot would go through the trouble of being hostile to the person that a foreign country treats as valuable?”
,,,,,A couple names come to mind…

It’s slightly hard to make heads or tails of Makoto’s priorities when he’s relieved that the labyrinth doesn’t lead to hell or the goddess, but a Superior Dragon.
The part where he’s even more worried about which wife he’s going to bring makes sense though.

    1. well….. what you expect when your ‘wives’ is superior being…. a normal wife can be really frightening in certain times, but he have superior being ‘wives’ which also have yandere tendecies…. and you know how usually Yandere can accumulate godly power when their love one is in a pitch of danger

      1. You know, I once proposed that we find a way to weaponize those abilities.

Sadly, I was turned down. Apparently the desirability quotient-something about risk-they calculated was decidedly less profitable than hell energy, zombie or lycanthropy viruses, and necromancy, in that order.

      2. eh, I’m a Lich and I don’t mind the use of zombies as slaves. I mean, that’s what Necromancy is all about, isn’t it?

Also, Psychronia, when you said “in that order” do you mean those 3 things from least profitable to most profitable, or the reverse?

        1. Oh, no. In terms of profit, from least to most, it’s apparently necromancy, then zombie (and lycan and vampire) infections, then yandere empowerment, and finally hell energy.

In terms of the risks relative to the profit, though, from least to most it’s yandere power, then hell energy, then viruses, and finally necromancy.

See, stuff like hell energy is super profitable because The Unending Fires of God’s Wrath(TM) give a big middle finger to the Laws of Thermodynamics. Problem is, a backfiring event is all but guaranteed because hell energy is near-sentient from the constant exposure to the malice of the damned. Not to mention the costs from the damage of this unpredictable event is more than any company can bear.

Long story short, the reward doesn’t match the risk enough. The same story applies to all the other categories, with Necromancy being the fairest return despite having a relatively more modest profit potential.

          1. While I do agree with your assessment overall, I have to disagree when it comes to Necromancy. As an expert in the field(being a Lich), I can confidently say that Necromancy carries the least amount of risk out of the mentioned options. The only risk in necromancy lies with the allegiance of the necromancer him/her/itself. As long as you can keep the necromancer on your side, then there is only profit. The undeads and other forms of life being controlled by necromancy will never disobey.

As such, when the necromancer’s allegiance can be achieved with certainty(as in the necromancer being part of the people getting profit and/or a main member of the group leading the operation), then Necromancy is the option carrying the least amount of risk. However, in the case where true trust in the necromancer cannot be achieved for certain, then the risk is indeed very great for it is almost guaranteed that the necromancer will betray later in time.

          2. Well firstly, it’s not my evaluation. It’s all in the accountant’s reports. Detailed stuff.

Secondly, that’s exactly the risk. Necromancers don’t have loyalty to anyone but themselves, not to mention that the best ones are the ones fully devoted to researching their craft(read:mad science), which is bound to cause problems from a business perspective.

So profits are limited in a lot of ways, but it’s still got the best ratio out of all the other options in the list. Surprisingly, casting Lifeproof spells on food to substitute for preservatives proved about as profitable as stealing inside information from dead businessmen.

  36. Thanks for the chapter~

Spoiler-san said: “Raidou’s partner for Lorel gonna be decided soon. Another day for the return of Mio vs Tomoe duel battle~”

      1. I wonder wether Tamaki will try to participate in that quarrel? If not as an combatant maybe as a clerk to sell snacks and drinks to the viewers while Mio and Tomoe go at it. 😀

    1. why not just invited both to go together. does Makoto necessarily need to bring only one? he already got 4 follower.

  37. Oh man. Saritz really scored here.

She totally got Makoto to visit her country in the most advantageous way possible, with the least dangerous impression possible, all while keeping her intentions hidden. Well done.
