Chapter 220: The summoned one

“It is not a recalling one, but a summoning one?” (Makoto)

“Yes.”

“No doubt about it.”

Shiki and Tomoe nod at my question.

What’s going on?

After I had gotten heavily dizzy in the giant bath-house -I mean, at the demonic mountain’s hot-spring village, everyone had shouted *cheers of joy as they enjoyed the completed* hot springs, and we returned to Asora.

Ah, it became a play of words.

Leaving that aside, I received an explanation from Tomoe and the others, and I understood it in my own way, and on top of that, thought about it.

“That book said that it was a ritual to return a summoned one to their original world though…” (Makoto)

It is one of the books that I was shown a few days ago in the dwelling of the Superior Dragon, Waterfall, living in the Meiris Lake.

Within it, there was information of a ritual that had pretty important details for me.

The requirements were surprisingly severe, and it seemed to be a technique that seemed to only work on me and no one else, so I decided not to use it and show it to Tomoe and the others.

And the report I received from them was something I didn’t understand well.

It seems like it is not a recalling spell but a summoning one.

Truly, what the hell is going on?

“There’s no mistake in that description. We have confirmed it as well. Just that, the description was strangely ornated, and the result after investigating about this ritual and aria that felt like it was disguised, we learned that it was a summoning spell for a different realm.” (Tomoe)

“Moreover, it was a formula that didn’t require the aria, the necessary tools, catalysts, and the sacrifices. It was a spell formation that was quite different from its description, so we thought we should report it to Waka-sama.” (Shiki)

I see.

The first possibility I can think of is a misprint, but it seems like it is not the case this time.

It was in the library of a Superior Dragon after all.

In the first place, Waterfall seemed to be the diligent type, and she did give off the feeling like she was trying to avoid me, but I don’t think there’s merits for her in deceiving me.

If this were Root, he would pop a cracker and say: ‘you got it right!’ and bring out a second problem.

The other possibility I can think of is…

“…So it means…that this is a summoning to call someone that can return the summoner to their world?” (Makoto)

Why is it that I don’t feel that good about this?

“I think it is appropriate to conclude that.” (Tomoe)

“That’s how we think as well.” (Shiki)

So this is the right answer huh.

It is also something expected.

Of course, I did suspect that there was the chance the explanation of the ritual was a lie.

We don’t have a precedent that has tried out this, so it can’t be helped.

Is the ritual itself a lie, or is something coming out from it?

At the very least, there’s the chance that something could come out, so Tomoe and Shiki are on guard about that.

If it is something that these two can handle themselves, they would have already summoned it and continued with their investigation after all.

“And so, there’s the chance that something bad might come out, so you decided to report it to me first, right?” (Makoto)

“That’s right.” (Tomoe)

“Yes.” (Shiki)

By the way, the only ones here are Tomoe, Shiki, and I.

It seems like Mio went to prepare savory egg custards for me since I supposedly muttered about that in my sleep.

She seemed to be pretty hyped about it.

I just muttered it, so I don’t think she would become like that just because of it. I probably did something else aside from that.

I like savory egg custards, so if she is going to prepare them, I am happy though.

“Yeah. Let me say this first but, if we are to do it, I think something incredibly troublesome will be coming.” (Makoto)

“Right.” (Tomoe)

“It is Waka-sama after all.” (Shiki)

What an instant answer.

“…No wait, at that part, shouldn’t you at least make it less straight?” (Makoto)

“Waka has been picking up trouble as if you have been aiming at them from the beginning after all.” (Tomoe)

“There are times when you even surpass the expected worst case scenario. If that was the luck of the world, it wouldn’t be a laughing matter.” (Shiki)

“C-Calling it the epitome of worst is not a laughing matter either though.” (Makoto)

“Fortunately, Waka possesses toughness that can narrowly brush away those problems laughing.” (Tomoe)

They are truly saying whatever they want.

Even so, I have a strange luck to draw out the lowest of rates.

I feels like these rates are biased.

There’s definitely going to be a moment when something good happens, so I am not hung up on those things every time it happens.

“Well, since you guys say it is a summoning spell, wanna try calling it to see? We could ask about how to return and stuff like that.” (Makoto)

“What should we do about the cost?” (Tomoe)

“The cost huh. Hm… It would be hard to gather one thousand people unless we pick some in a battlefield somewhere.” (Makoto)

The easiest way would be to kidnap people from a place where they are killing each other.

The sacrifices will be dying, so buying slaves for that would not leave a good taste.

Different from soldiers and mercenaries, there are a lot of slaves that don’t have the resolve to throw away their lives.

“If it is someone that words can get through, there might not be the need to prepare the sacrifices, but it is practically as if the person itself is requesting it beforehand, so it is possible that we would be angering that person if we don’t.” (Shiki)

That’s true.

It is written that there’s the need to prepare it in this way in order to return to your former world, so if there’s plans on doing the ritual, there’s the need to prepare for it.

“Also, the place to do the ritual is also a problem. Should we do it in Asora, or would it be better to do it outside?” (Shiki)

Ah, there’s also that.

Since we are doing something big, it might catch the eye of the Goddess.

She has been strangely docile lately, but that doesn’t mean she is harmless.

She has a danger level and pain level of a first-class noxious bug.

Just that, it all depends on the indulgence of the other side and if the sacrifices have to be taken, so it would be better to do it in a suitable place.

Or more like, I can’t do something like this in Asora.

“If we want to avoid the eyes of third parties, it would be Asora. This place hasn’t been found by the Goddess yet. But the sacrifices are the problem.” (Shiki)

“Right. But why the need of sacrifices? I want to confirm if other things can be used, so it is the truth that it would give more peace of mind if it is in Asora rather than the outside where there’s the chance of someone seeing it.” (Makoto)

Because if the matter is related to magic power, I have plenty to throw.

If there’s no need for them to be people, then…I can just go to the wasteland and Kaleneon to mass capture mamonos.

If what’s clear is that the aria is a simple summoning spell, we can call it and confirm if it is actually a requirement in order to call it to this world.

“…It is not possible to call an existence higher than the Goddess, so if Waka prepares himself, the safest bet would be to try in Asora.” (Tomoe)

Eh?

Tomoe said something important as if nothing.

My resolve of trying in Asora hardened in an instant.

“An existence higher than the Goddess won’t come?” (Makoto)

Repeating her words, I confirm it with Tomoe once more.

I was internally scared that something like that trio of Gods might come out from this.

“The aria itself completes the process of the ritual composition. If someone in this world were to call an existence that surpasses the Goddess, there will definitely be a mechanism in the aria where it would ask for the permission of the Goddess first.” (Tomoe)

…I see.

In that case, there’s no need to worry about it so much huh.

Since the upper limit is something that’s lower than the Goddess.

“Then let’s do it in Asora. Just in case, at a place far from the town. We can have Tomoe and Mio protect the two towns.” (Makoto)

The two of them possess abilities fit for defense, so they are suitable for the job.

“We can have Serwhale protect the sea. Mio can protect the first town, and I would be able to accompany you.” (Tomoe)

That’s unexpected.

Does that mean she is worried about me?

Serwhale and the other sea races have pretty high defensive ability when they have the sea as their backing.

Even if their defensive power is not on the level of Mio, it is certainly true that they can be trusted.

If we were to classify Tomoe in defensive or offensive, it would be more of the defensive type though.

“That’s unexpected. Is it because you have investigated it, so you want to witness it until the end?” (Makoto)

“…Something like that.” (Tomoe)

“Understood. It seems like my help will be needed if anything happens, so you being there will make things easier.” (Makoto)

“Yeah, leave it to me.” (Tomoe)

“Shiki, how much can you prepare?” (Makoto)

“We have already done the necessary preparations, so the only thing that’s left is to do the aria. We have done the preparations in a place far away from the town, so it will take us time to move there though.” (Shiki)

“As expected of you guys. There wasn’t the need of me asking.” (Makoto)

They have already done the preparations.

With how things went, they probably prepared one outside as well just in case.

My respects.

◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆

There’s an ominous gate right in front of me that I would agree if it were called the Hell’s Gate.

I don’t know about the material it is made of, but it looks bony.

It is a double door, and at the top of the gate, an expressionless face is placed there.

The height is that of a 2 story building.

In other words, it is pretty big.

“In a sense, this is pretty easy to understand. I can see it as a gate to move between worlds.” (Makoto)

“That’s exactly what it looks like.” (Tomoe)

I got the agreement of Tomoe.

But well, it is not like anything will change with that.

There’s no followers of mine that would say this is of good taste, or that this is a fresh look for a gate, so I know that nothing will change much even if I got the response of someone.

We are currently at a wide grass-covered plain no race is living in.

This kind of place can be found in many parts of Asora.

We can even make explosion SFX scenes here.

“But since it has responded to the call, this is most likely a gate with a will. We can’t let our guards down.” (Shiki)

Shiki is serious.

Even without being told, with a gate like this, even I wouldn’t let my guard down.

“…This is the first time I have come to this place. It is a world that’s different from any of the worlds that have spread my spell formation. But…” (???)

Okay. I can clearly understand what he is saying.

Let’s question him.

“Nice to meet you. I am the one that called you here.” (Makoto)

“A mortal huh. Also…an undead, and a dragon. No, it is vaguely different. Mutated ones? Doesn’t seem to be the case. I see, you have received the ruling pact huh.”

As I thought, the face at the top is speaking.

It is slightly tiring on my neck, but well, that’s fine.

It seems like he is thinking, so maybe I should wait for a bit?

Ah, now that I think about it, I haven’t introduced myself.

Raidou -no, it is fine to use my real name.

“My name is Misumi Makoto. The ones here are my followers: Tomoe and Shiki. If it’s okay with you, can I hear your name?” (Makoto)

“…Samal. But in the first place, for us, there’s no point in names. By the way, where are the offerings?” (Samal)

Offerings. The thousand lives huh.

It came immediately huh.

“Samal-san, regarding that, why do you require the lives of a thousand?” (Makoto)

“It should have been written that it is necessary in the spell, right? Since we are here face-to-face, your side should have consented to that.” (Samal)

“We were told that this was a ritual to return a person, that has been summoned, to their original world. But when we investigated it, the ritual composition was a simple summoning spell, and so, for the sake of learning about it in more detail, we decided to call you here.” (Makoto)

He didn’t answer my question, but let’s go in a patient manner here.

At the very least, the presence this fellow gives is less than the one I felt from that Goddess and Athena-sama.

Instead of saying the pressure is weak, it is more like the wave it is giving off is calm. Well, it is something extremely subjective anyways.

“…If I didn’t hear you wrong, it sounded like you said: you called me as a test.” (Salma)

“The outline is correct. I thought that it would be an existence we could talk in this way, so I thought negotiations would be possible.” (Makoto)

“It seems like I have been heavily underestimated here. But, it seems like there’s enough lives here for one thousand. The quality is pretty good too. It can be covered plenty enough huh.” (Samal)

It was able to grasp the numbers of the Asora residents?

If it turns into a fight so soon, I honestly won’t be able to ask him anything.

From what I see, it is probably a special ability.

In that case, it is pointless to ask?

No, it is not like we can’t create a good relationship here.

“I first want to hear if you actually need the sacrifice of a thousand though.” (Makoto)

“Why do I need to tell a rascal like you?” (Samal)

Uh, it is the natural haughtiness that’s pretty popular between God-like existences.

I was thinking about suppressing him if he were to rampage, so I might be considered haughty as well though.

I feel a bad atmosphere from my front.

“You…”

“What did you…”

Both of my sides were dyed in a turbulent atmosphere as well.

“I was wondering if it can be resolved with magic power or something like that.” (Makoto)

“Magic power? Are you an idiot? What good would come from taking the magic power of others? There’s no way it would serve as a substitute for life, for the souls. A fool that doesn’t understand the machinations of magic power, how was it possible for someone like that to get his hands on the magic formation to call me?” (Samal)

“Idiot…”

“Fool…”

I thought that magic power was almighty or something like that, but it seems like it is not.

Sacrifices are already on the realm of the occult, so I thought that magic power which is practically on that same line would work in a lot of things though.

Like the magma pond in Kaleneon.

“Then, are the life of mamonos and plants counted as well?” (Makoto)

“…You have no saving. If it is not souls with strong desires, there’s no point. In other words, it has to be *mortals*, or a life that is closely related to mortals. Barely scraping would be until beast races.” (Samal)

“…”

In that case, it would be troublesome to gather them.

Even though Waterfall went through the trouble of showing me this knowledge, it might become a fruitless effort.

If there’s the need of sacrifices in order for Samal-san to show his power, I would need a thousand lives in order to go back and fro.

It is not a realistic thing to do.

“From what I see, you are quite the novelty. And it is not the first time I have met this presence.” (Samal)

He is someone I know?

I haven’t had any experiences with speaking gates in my whole life.

I have gotten used to speaking with a lot of things, but if it were in my time in Japan, it would be at a level to leave a trauma.

It is a matter of course since an eerie gate that can speak would come out from who knows where after all.

“No, I think this is our first time meeting.” (Makoto)

“Well then, I am not so free you see. I will overlook the deficiency of sacrifices. I will gather them from the vicinity and end it there. But Misumi Makoto, I won’t be cooperating with you. You didn’t compel with the contract after all. Be grateful that I didn’t punish you at the very least.” (Samal)

“That would trouble me. I can’t overlook that.” (Makoto)

“…You bastard, even after carefreely calling a deity like me, you will obstruct my actions that came from your own inadequacy? Ritual, contract, agreement; get that into your head.” (Samal)

It was a God?

It is my first time hearing the name Samal.

No idea what myth this God is from.

If it is a myth that’s not from Earth, I wouldn’t know in the first place.

“I just thought about negotiating the goods that we would be contributing from both sides.” (Makoto)

“Recall in exchange for sacrifices. Isn’t that pretty clear?” (Samal)

“The information about the recall is practically shrouded in darkness. Then wouldn’t it be obvious that we would want to ask about the thousand sacrifices as well?” (Makoto)

“Then don’t perform the ritual in the first place. ‘Ask and you will be answered’, a naive thinking like that doesn’t even work in the society of mankind either.” (Samal)

Uh.

Well, I do think it is the responsibility of both sides to read the agreements of the contract.

But a part of the utilization in the goods is completely dark, so it can’t be helped you know.

If it were the export of a top-secret military weapon, it would be one thing. Maybe teleporting between worlds…is a pretty incredible technique?

Even so, having a thousand gulped in a black box is just…

Yeah.

The sound-looking argument of the gate is harsh.

“Waka, doesn’t seem like the other party wants to talk. I think it would be better to have him fix his attitude first.” (Tomoe)

Tomoe, is that something you say while unsheathing your katana?

“Waka-sama, it is unproductive to keep company to something like a speaking gate. Don’t worry, I will show you that we can get the information Waka-sama wants even if he is wreck.” (Shiki)

Shiki, you are talking as if destroying it is already settled.

“So you can’t even discipline your retainers huh. Makoto, truly a foolish…hm? I see, it is you.” (Samal)

The gaze of Samal-san was in Tomoe and Shiki, and then returns to me.

What is it?

“I remember now. It was at the time when I was summoned before. It was a request from a certain Goddess, if I remember correctly, it was…right, a hyuman. She asked me to help out in bringing two failures of humans called ‘hyuman’ to the original world.” (Samal)

?

Two hyumans?

“You are the child of those two, right? So that’s why you had a presence I found familiar. Hmph, I see. That Goddess really likes playing around with dolls, but…” (Samal)

A despising gaze incomparable to any he gave before was poured down on me.

The child of those two?

Is he referring to my mom and dad?

Hey, does that mean…

“Even the peasant disposition is inherited huh. Trying to bend the vow in a ritual after the deal, that’s truly the thought of a failure.” (Samal)

“…”

He knows about the moment when mom and dad transferred worlds.

Also, did he say peasant?

It didn’t feel like it was a word directed only at me.

That means…

“If you have inherited the blood of the residents of that distorted world, it is a given that your brain is lacking huh. That Goddess, in the end, she send those two to the most harshest of worlds with the lowest survival rate -the Origin world. I didn’t care about who and where I send them, so I didn’t say anything though. A God is a guest of honor that’s better than souls after all. Umu, those two abandoned the world they were born in, went against God, and were single-mindedly pushing their own way of thinking. Truly hyuman-like.” (Samal)

“…”

I could tell that Samal -this gate- is talking trash about my parents.

Of course, it felt like he was also insulting the Goddess as well…but even so, this guy, speaking whatever it wants about mom and dad…

“I see, I see. So you are the one the Goddess said? That matter about taking away something important of them one day. Meaning, you were the pawn that was being raised by those parents in order to throw away?!” (Samal)

“…Shut up.” (Makoto)

My words leaked out.

“That’s funny. A person that is running an errand for that Goddess, in a place like this, has tried to haggle regarding the sacrifices and is trying to cling onto me? After being thrown away by your blood parents, you still want to meet them? How effeminate.” (Samal)

…Shut up.

Shut up Shut upShut up Shut upShut up Shut up!!

Who clung onto you?!

I only had some questions.

Someone like you that insults my mom and dad, I would definitely not rely on someone like that!!

I could tell that my body was being wrapped up by a peculiar sensation I have felt a number of times before, along with an intense anger.

My face was burning, and I could feel my head and body growing rapidly colder.

Ah, I see.

I am someone that can’t take abusive remarks towards my family huh.

My boiling point might have gotten even lower since I haven’t been able to meet them.

But this is already… This guy is just…

“I told you to shut up.” (Makoto)

“Do you wish to be counted in those thousand, you foolish son of mortals?” (Samal)

“You have a big mouth for a fake God that only talks about wanting thousand lives without even saying the reason.” (Makoto)

I have already stopped looking at his face, and spat those words facing the ground.

This guy is unforgivable in a Goddess-class.

I will crush him.

Shiki said that it is okay to wreck him.

“…Fine. Become the first sacrifice along with your retainers. Consider it an honor that you are able to become the stairs of mine.” (Samal)

“Tomoe, barrier.” (Makoto)

“Already done.” (Tomoe)

“No. The one already out is fine. Put enough spirit so that this guy won’t be able to escape. Understood?” (Makoto)

“…Y-Yes.” (Tomoe)

Tomoe stuttered in her words a bit, but she complied.

Okay.

I definitely won’t let him escape.

“Shiki.” (Makoto)

“Yes?!” (Shiki)

Why are you scared?

“You can go wild as a test for the rings. Try not to get dragged in it as well though.” (Makoto)

He told me before that there are still rings he can’t use properly.

“‘Try not to get dragged’? Don’t you mean ‘try not getting me dragged’?” (Shiki)

“It is exactly as I said.” (Makoto)

“U-Understood!” (Shiki)

I don’t think he will get a turn though.

I will be crushing this Omaru. Or was it Samal?

Who cares whichever it is.

It is a mere gate with an occult design.

It would be one thing if he called me an errand boy of the Goddess, but to go and insult mom and dad.

Don’t go dying until I kill you a thousand times over.

  1. So? We should talk like civilized people. If you start by insulting me and my parents then of course, I’ll kick your ass if I can

  2. It’s just like i figured. There’s more than one evil god. And doesn’t surprise me that the bug goddess would use this fool as help.

  3. Oh this… Might be good. It gets boring when he is too strong and only lets other people fight, and then he comes and one shots everything. Not funny at all, and I don’t really care about other people fighting in the first place really, so give me a good fight now 😀
I did like Tomoe vs Waterfall though, but that wasn’t even a fight, also one sided beatdown

  4. Omaru(おまる) means Potty. Potty is a place where you shit on it, a human waste. I wonder if he was comparing the sacrifices that the gate receives with a literal shit. Or maybe he comparing the gate with a literal shit. Probably both.

  5. Rip gate god, just hearing the words “Don’t go dying until I kill you a thousand times over.” makes me wonder what kind of organism that gate god will turn into lmfaooo… Maybe only a door nob with a mouth will be left…?

    1. I already did when he said “Don’t go dying until I kill you a thousand times over.”

      Truly an orgasmic chapter

  6. MAKOTO! SHOW US! SHOE US YOUR DEVOPMENT! YOU WHERE ALREAFY IN THE DEMI-GOD ASCENDED LEVEL WHEN YLU FOUGHT WITH ATHENA-SAMA, but now… Show us, SHOW US YOUR GROWTG. SHOW US THAT YOU WILL DESCEND THE GODDESS FROM HER THROWN!

  7. Oh fuck, this is good, really good. I think that that will become his new servant, at least is the only current being able to that and his power to travel between worlds is useful. Also, I wonder if with the mention of souls now the history would center a bit more in them and Makoto will have to strenght his soul or things like that.

  8. Hah what a piece of shit. Its only right that your family gets insulted for acting like a kid in a different world. Now he’s mad his parents got insulted. In the first place he should have known that nothing good will come out if the thing asks for a thousand lives. How much of an idiot does the author want the mc to be?

  9. So, I just found out that there is someone copying reigokai work on patreon and claiming it on his own. This guy also copied uchimusume translation, and the people of konobuta has been aware of it as well. I’ve read the ‘free’ chapters, it’s exactly the same.

    https://www.patreon.com/tsukiga

    1. His parents are weird. They’re certainly pitiful and easily played as fools, but oddly resilient at the same time? They managed to clear the goddess’s 12 impossible trials, and then thrive on the harshest world of Earth even after the blessings faded. They were a noble and a shrine maiden previously, and they could still give all of that up forever with a smile on their face despite all manner of demonic issues with their love life…

They’re like palm trees. They stand there being useless but when Hurricanes blow them flat against the ground they just spring back up afterwards.

    2. remind me of the saying of the old couple I seen, in a interview when the reporter asked
“how did you manage to stay together for 65 years”,
      they replied
“We were born in a time when something was broken we would fix it, not trow it away”

overall, what happened is that a kid made a mistake (weren’t they teens at that time?) and they worked VERY hard to correct it.

  10. Really good chapter and everything I wanted to mention are already in the comments. But has anyone mention the part about the spell being masked? I don’t quite understand it but it goes like

“There’s no mistake in that description. We have confirmed it as well. Just that, the description was strangely ornated, and the result after investigating about this ritual and aria that felt like it was disguised, we learned that it was a summoning spell for a different realm.” (Tomoe)

    Shiki follows up with

“Moreover, it was a formula that didn’t require the aria, the necessary tools, catalysts, and the sacrifices. It was a spell formation that was quite different from its description, so we thought we should report it to Waka-sama.” (Shiki)

what i’m getting from this is that the spell description says that the caster should gather all the necessary tools first, sacrifices, catalysts etc. And cast the spell to return to the original world, meaning whoever casts it will be in for a surprise and if Waterfall really planned this far ahead then her death may have been in her plan too which would make this novel awesome!

Also that whole thing about the superior dragons having their memories (Sofia’s gift) is because Sofia does not have Root’s ability to completely eat a dragon, so who knows maybe if she went on to live those dragons would have escaped or would wreck her internally. Also if any of the stuff I said here are late then who ever said it first… touché

Thanks Reigokai although I’ve already said this in the top 10 comments :p.

  11. I don’t see the similarity between Omaru and Samal. Unless it’s Omaru and Samaru, the Japanese slang. Whatever his real name is unimportant though.

I realize that Samal comments about the world he’s summoned to being distorted… badmouthing the Goddess while in fact he is actually summoned to Asora, a different place than the Goddess’s world. The badmouthing and Goddess aside, Asora does look kind of distorted.

  12. Next chapter *Spoilers Ahead*

    Makoto rage!!!
    Samal true identity revealed
and more (That’s enough i guess?)

  13. Rest in peace, Samal or Omaru… or something like that.
That was nice to meet you but I don’t think you will reappear.

  14. Makoto getting angry is fine and all, but his reason is meh. Also, he sure seems entitles now. Here is this product, we will deliver it to you for 1000 bucks. So he orders the product and asks why they want the 1000 dollars when they show up. The side story about the parents left a bad taste in my mouth about the mom too, so who cares if they get insulted. The mom cheats on the dad, he takes her back anyway, they leave the world, and sell their second child to the goddess. Does anyone give a shit about these parents?

    1. I don’t know what story you read to get to this chapter, but it is certain that I have not read the same stories as you.

yes the parents had an agreement with the goddess, and were training each child to fight. But Makoto CHOSE to be the one to be used when he was summed by the moon god.

      1. The parents have done literally nothing for the reader to care about them. What exactly do we know about them? Almost nothing, and what we do know is completely negative. Raising your children to be someone elses soldier is supposed to be a good thing? Making a deal where your child will leave their siblings, friends, and teachers to go to a completely different world is a good thing? And Makoto chose to be the one summoned probably just so his sisters wouldn’t be. The cheating the mom did isn’t even the worst part about her.

      2. the double standards with the cheating is funny. a normal harem (almost none are devoted to a single girl) protagonist who steals a noble lady who was already engaged is praised for his actions. a priestess who has not slept with her fiancé and obviously isn’t married yet has second thoughts about her love life and decides to be with another man.

if not for the demon cleverly hiding his real self, she most likely would have lived a happy life. that’s also how some relationships fail in reality. men and women alike hide who they really are until long after the marriage and then you find out a lot of bad things about your spouse.

    2. @IcyClaw: What the hell are you even going on about? There was nothing double standards about what Ryougi said

The mom cheated and the dad still accepted her for some reason…

These are facts, not double standards.

    3. e.e reason aside the standar in that world is reverse harem so she dint cheat (having a demon as a lover was forbiden though) alsoooo bug trick then saying she was going take away something important of them one day

  15. i wonder, who is that door. Even the goddess need that to transport people. Weird. Weird. And is Makoto retarded? Summoning something unknown in Asora. Just, what. The heck.

Well, thank you for your translation Reigokai-sama~

  16. What a chapter !

Eeh~ That door is talking really big for something people are going through !
Which gives birth to ” As daft as a door” ! AHAHAHAHAHAHAH !

Don’t go dying here, you Skeleton ! Or I think MC-chan will summon another arrogant small fries to revive you !

This wouldn’t have happened if you gave up on those rings and coat before coming…

That little door and Trashero are quite similar, they should form a Party. The “Trampled By A Guy who looked harmless even though I’m supposed to be OP” party ?

    Thanks for your work !

  17. Well, we all know that at the beginning, makoto (before hiding his mana) looked like a group of demon kings.
So what does he look like now when he isn’t hiding his mana. It’s really bothering me, Oh…. and thy for the chap.
    Keep at it…

  18. Wao! I’m hyped.
About the Omaru and Samal. I think it’s because they rhyme. In the raws it might be read as Samaru. Also, after a small translation from GT, I found that Omaru either means ‘to cease’ or ‘potty’. Take this with a grain of salt tho.

  19. thanks for the chapter reigokai-sensei…
just maybe this is his follewer no.4 right…?
now we know that the truth makoto already suspecting that behavior of waterfall has something wrong but he igore it. just want to mention this XD that the character of makoto knowing but feign ignorant…
good luck makoto go rampange get your rage burst out … lol

  20. it’s really hilarious how makoto get angry. don’t talk bad about momy and dady baka baka……

well at least makoto finally woke up And yeah the shell is broken too

  21. Hmmm.. i was thinking, maybe this god would be the next follower of makoto? Cuz he defeted all of his followers before they join him, soooo maybe his the next one? I seem to remeber that another god said his next follower is going to be interesting, so maybe?

      1. Hmmmmm….that should be a spoiler… but i aint mad…. sooo.. a female huh, my money would be that fight crazy fish girl that just joined haha

  22. Holy molly
first time Matoto diplay an outburst in this novel
he is so taking it easy in everything that happens
i’m super excited for his full torturing power

I was expecting that the one who will appear is that 4th follower
but is it really that door? Makoto is totally pissed that i don’t think he will let that door live
please don’t answer those who read ahead
its just my way of expression

  23. I think you will like the next 2 chapters
the conclusion for this and a meeting if Im not wrong
well Im looking for when he go to Lorel, my favorite was the horse part (you will know when you read Xp)

    1. Spoiler detected!

FEEL THE WRATH OF THE TRUCK !!
      *Crash! Bam!*

*walks away victoriously, with explosion on the back*

  24. another reason to see that the huge “Bug” is the cause of all source of trouble. I think Makoto should be become like “Kratos”, killing all those puny gods who only think and act for themself, aka a bunch of douchebags

  25. cliffhanger!!!! cliffhanger!!!!cliffhanger!!!! Can’t really wait for that fight. Also I hope the author writes also the alternate world Makoto’s fight in detail. That would be bad ass. (Evil Makoto Unleashed!)

  26. I’m on the side of Samal.
You summoned it knowing what the stated price was and what it was to be paid in, but then want to change the terms of payment
Sure Samal is a jerk when the thing he should have was to return to where he came from or not say anything.

    1. I can’t agree with that. The payment of 1000 lives for the actual recall service, which the door has not carried out. It’s more along the lines of calling a plumber and deciding he isn’t needed.

That said, the ritual itself is sketchy is overwhelmingly vague. So Makoto has all the more reason to back away from a shady deal. Like calling a plumber and finding out that he is a random guy who found a plumbing truck in a parking lot.

Makoto just wanted clarification. If Samal can’t agree to that, he’s clearly dealing in some sketchy stuff.

    2. When you’re planning to a deal, doing a research is one of the top priority and with this shady and ambiguous recall deal, what Makoto has done is understandable. Consider the fact that even if the door is capable of transport him back, it’s not sure whether it will be the right time period. According to Root, transporting back is plausible, but it’s dangerous and extremely random. Transport back, but on a wrong time period would just be pointless anyway.

    3. So asking terms and conditions are wrong? It’s like calling an aircon service, see my aircon condition, what I should do with it, then ask for the payment amount and method if I decided to use his service.

Then the service man ask for 1000 bucks just for asking a mere “condition”? Nobody is nice enough to leave that guy unschated.

      1. No its not wrong but if the contract says you give the guy Soul when summoned you might want to find out what souls are used for first before you call the guy.

      2. Except this is not like calling an aircon service or a plumber, in fact, comparing a supposed entity with the power to send people through different worlds with a service/plumber is fucking ridiculous.

It’s a entity close to a god and arrogant as fuck, of course it’s going to demand souls for being summoned. That’s the whole joke of summoning an entity (or a person) in pretty much every fantastic story/ setting. The core of the whole isekai genre.

“The payment of 1000 lives for the actual recall service, which the door has not carried out. ”

It gives two shits if you summoned it to ask him if the weather is nice or to take you to a different world. “You summon me, you pay the fee”, that’s how it works for samal.

Which is the funny thing, because a mere mortal would not dare to summon it since the cost it’s huge next to impossible. On top of that, it’s clear some entities/gods trick people into shitty deals along with being arrogant (and powerful) enough to get away with it. Just like greek gods in mythology. Makoto has nothing to fear since he’s OP and all that jazz, yet he’s still naive as fuck. And if nothing, arrogant for thinking a powerful living entity would casually strike a deal with him because what? Him having shit tons of magic power?

Seriously, people here are so biased towards the protagonist’s actions. It doesn’t matter how naive, dumb, heroic or evil choice makoto makes; readers will always support it without questioning. Makes me feel like I’m reading a huge self-insert story with mindless readers.

  27. I have a feeling that this shitty door will become that fourth subordinate or, more preferably, be the one to summon that 4th subordinate.

Something troublesome huh… also… poor door… It might burn with the experiment of the Draughnirs … even if he’s made of stone or wood or metal or god-matter, he will burn~

    1. I think so too. The gate first mentions their ruling pact disdainfully, which would be kinda ironic prequel to see the gate do a 180 and request one. Moreover the gate isn’t wrong in being mad at someone that tries to weasel out of paying, since getting there probably also has a cost.

The gate simply can’t see Makoto’s true power, and underestimates him. I think the gate needs the souls to solidify magic or something, that Makoto can already do.

The question remains, what will the gate bring to Asora. Other planets? space? inter-dimensional doors?

  28. well maybe the one that chiya-san saw inside makoto was the rage inside, the frustration and anger for the goddess that wants to wreck the world in short an embodiment of makoto’s rage.

      1. In practice, I think you are correct in that it’s just an errand boy of the gods.

However, technically, it probably is a god. But generally, when we have large pantheons, the gods tend not to be equal. So the gate is probably a god, but one at the very bottom of the pecking order (even the Bug seems to be its superior, to the point where it would actually grovel (implied) before her).

It’s acting big because it thinks it is dealing with a mere mortal, in which case normally even the lowest of the low gods would seem like an unimaginably strong existence.

  29. -“Shiki.” (Makoto)
    -“Yes?!” (Shiki)
    -Why are you scared?
of course he scared because makoto want to fight that douchebag in the asora while he is very angry. what you especting more?

  30. Just pointing out a small typo

-talking thrash about my parents –
–> talking trash about my parents

    cheers for the chapter.

  31. I can only imagine that dark crack in makoto’s soul getting bigger after this, but to challenge a god… Well, he generally should be pretty lowerful if the godess needed him to summon makotos parents to earth, so once makoto beats him, goddess will really have one hell of a time~~

    1. going to be honest, I kinda think that that “dark crack” that the priestess saw was actually mio’s doing, simply because she did something before they got off the cart.

      1. I like to think it’s Makoto’s true emotions that he mostly ignores, willing or not. He completely hates the Goddess and wants her dead, violently, but insteads contains it down to just dethroning. He want(ed) to completely annihilate the demons for their treachery, but modified it to ruining their plans. It applies to all his big emotions, including the want to “claim” Mio / Tomoe. This is the reason he didn’t end up like all the bad end Makotos, he kept it all contained.

But this idiot just found a gap that leads right to it’s smiling face. It is time for him to experience his one thousand deaths, just as the Priestess saw hers, just a little more…physical.

      2. Just reread the whole thing again, but my guess for the dark crack is similar. It’s his “true” self, emotions and talent that he previously have. The talent mentioned by the 3 fate goddesses, the one Makoto rejected and became the cause for him to “create” another talent out of nothing (not his perfect aim as that is specuilated by the gods as a byproduct of the talent made). The reason he rejected his real talent is that it repulsed him to a degree of rejecting it until he miraculously created another.

We could also look at the white shell as a product of him wanting to be a normal human. Like with how he looks as an average japanese and his outlook on things (proper japanese conduct?). This probably makes sense as the Lorel Priestess describes the white shell as a personification of what he(Makoto) thinks he is.

    1. Exactly as long as Makoto lets him last is my guess. This fight should have ended when Makoto told him they were smart enough to see the summoning trick and strong enough to call him up without breaking a sweat.

  32. I have the feeling we have found the 4th ruling pact partner for Makoto. And while I knew that it had to be something like a lesser God(dess), I never thought that it would be a Door. 😀

      1. That’s too bad, since it’d cool if the ‘Travel across worlds’ ability mixed with the ‘Mistgate’ ability there would be endless possibilities. :/

      2. hehe, no more spoil, discover your self reading few mores chapters, ops i guess this can count as spoile, or not ?

    1. I can only guess from what i’ve read so far maybe it’s that “hyuman” that specially have been made by the goddess as a weapon against the demon race… Already mention it by Root and Susanoo if i’m not mistaken

  33. thanks for the chapter!

makoto summon a god and try to bargain the price of the ritual, is he growing as a merchant?

    -“Shiki.” (Makoto)
    -“Yes?!” (Shiki)
    -Why are you scared?
Makoto is only planning to fight a god, why are you scared?
    Makoto totally lost it now

“Don’t go dying until I kill you a thousand times over.”
need to give a thousand lives
    kill him a thousand times
    problem solved!

  34. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We finally guet to see Makoto boiling point and cliff san has to intrude like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN YOU CLIFFFF MY FATHER ENEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ……………. Ok since thats out of the way as always thankyou Regokai for the delicious delivery. Now I am really excited about the coming figth, the author better not make this boring like Tomoki beating. Hahahahahaha I even want to imagine Tomoe and Shiki losing their cool once they saw Makoto guet angry and if Makoto wins this figth he will have a lot of God attention on hi ass. It would be ironic if the gate ends up been his next servant.

    1. Not really after all shiva said he would be getting one while laughing at how it was amusing. I first thought it was the whale but whats funnier than a low tier god? If samal doesnt turn into his next servant then its good practice for the bug.

      1. Yes but this guy came around, all you “mortal” this and you are below of my station that, Well it would be ironic for him to end up in a ruling pact with someone he considered inferior. Hahahahaha, but first he needs a good rekt, the only ones that can insult Makoto parents and guet away with it are us the readers, because thanks god we live in a completely diferent dimension form him!!!!!!!!

        1. By all accounts, we’re only getting away with it because, firstly, we don’t bash them for no reason, so Makoto might be unhappy, but he won’t go “Samal Incident” on us.

Secondly, he doesn’t know about us. I’m pretty sure he could hit us all if he knew and chose to.

          1. Well no wonder I feel a weird wousebumb, when I was goign to give a bad comment to Makoto mama!!!!!

      2. Yeah im not dumb enough to make fun of other peoples parents. Specially someone thats as powerful as a god. Nope. Yeah he is going to break that door and make it his bitch!

  35. So unfair! There’s no way I’ll be waiting for the next chapter. Ok, raws here I go, three google translators give your strenght (english, spanish and portuguese), don’t disappoint me now! By the way thanks 4 the chptr Rei!!

  36. 😀 A Yog-Sothoth wannabe will suffer next chapter.

Want to go home from your original world? Travel the multiverse perhaps, then we have guides just for you just pick one: Legba Atibon, Janus, or Ichirou.

PS Legba Atibon ritual worked for an Emo boy who banished gods into a limbo-like realm, blaming them for his 100-girl Harem.

PSS There is also Maruyama Seiji but that guy is a brick, So I conclude Ichirou is the most reliable one. He is a nice guy. He can cook, create space laboratories, terraform planets, cook, train lolis into heros , train waifus into Dragon kings, and let us not forget he can cook.

  37. Wtf is this??? He blunders around in a naive state of actions that if it wasn’t for the fact his followers are strong they’d all been either submitted to other powers or flat out killed…..He still can’t even look at a vagina with out fainting..Been there 2 years and hasn’t grown as a man…..Some random ass hat shows up insults his mom an dad and then goes all postal??? How in the bloody damn hell is this the maturity of a 19 to 20 year old young man like seriously….It really makes me wonder how much of a cream puff life he lived before he was summoned

      1. He was 16-17 at transfer in the very first chapter, as per previous chapter 2 years have passed since then so Makoto should be 18-19 yo

      2. it is still in range of high schooler for in nov, he is start at 16. 2 years growing without ‘academic material’ to see will make him react like that.

    1. Did you even read properly? firstly his action is expected from someone that raised in good environment and you ask him to act like gundam? and he is also has that reaction from seeing naked girl is expected from teenage with proper education would react. And no, he is only second years of high school, which made him 16. Also, if someone INSULT his own parent, of course he would GET mad even how old he is or did you not? all of this is a COMMON SENSE. Did you think he is raised in jungle like tarzan? or raised by exodia with a chain? he is raised in proper family and proper education. Dont expect him to be all baddass just because he got his power. and his character GROWTH is the main part of the story.

  38. It was very stupid move of makoto. Its like make meeting with big company just to conform their conditions and those are deities not company their rules is different. I like when someone make fun to stupidity of makoto. He only ok because he has power to resolve which he didn’t even truly acknowledge.
Whats more its like common knowledge in deity world that hyumans are stupid.

    1. I agree. Sure Makoto wants info but summoning just to ask is a stupid move. I hope the earth gods admonish him for this coz he’ll prob win this but if things went south those dreams he had would prob turn real next chap.

  39. Just admin it u all jelous! Author use my real and i freaking happy! Ahahah. Wait till i summon gate of bayblon and bring all dead army to asora! Wahahah!!

  40. Thanks for the chapter as always!
hahahhahah…… Let the darkness consume you, and rise through the dead body of that arrogant piece of door.

  41. Poor, poor Samal.

During the last bit of this chapter, the power-up/dreadful battle choir music from Bleach started playing in my head… And based on the conclusion, next chapter will start with Youjo Senki’s battle theme.

    Glorious.

  42. Sometimes question how smart makoto actually is Times he said some smart things and then he can’t understand the most simple things how could he not understand the explanation it the summoning ritual and physics explain by Shiki in simple terms

(OK I may be transparent but I understand The theories behind science of all types Since I was five years old yeah I know I was a weird kid) 😏

Ha a arrogant minor or lower God like being should paid more attention and noticed something isn’t right a powerful dragon and Higher level undead are taking orders from a mortal and in a ruling contract
Even if makoto’s using his ability to hide his magic he shouldn’t notice Typical fool who doesn’t pay attention and now he’s going to get himself destroyed by that very mortal he was talking about I love the see the reaction when makoto releases his magical power lol

    1. Wait, what? What? What?

Well, before I jump to rage, can we confirm that’s indeed what’s going on? Since I don’t know anything about what’s going on here(first time I’ve heard anything about this), I’m willing to offer the benefit of the doubt and say he might just be translating the story independently.

      1. Independant translators don’t charge money like this! It’s suppose to be under donation only! Not this multi level marketing style scheme!
        It’s even $ 1000 for full translation!
        THIS MUCH !!

Taking advantage of Author’s work and Reigokai’s work, without regard to copyright!
        Absurd!!

That person is even using Reigokai’s avatar!
        Blasphemy!!

        1. Yeah…This is really exploitative, even if it’s not outright stealing Reigokai’s work.

This actually kinda makes me scared of this translation getting caught in the crossfire if it ends up pissing off the copyright holders.

Still, I don’t really have any idea what’s going on. Is…is there any specific rule that says translators can’t do this? Or does it just feel wrong?

          1. I suppose it comes down to “Translation != original work”.

I think that, at best, it can be considered a modification of an existing product, and unless the product (this story) was released under a license that explicitly allows this, or the translator was given permission, then they are violating the license.

Even if the original author published this without mentioning any sort of license or such (which I guess is the norm for WN’s), it is still covered by one, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

So, if even a free fan-translation is technically not kosher, then one that uses paywalls is definitely not.

In fact, I wouldn’t even call that a “fan”-translation, since a fan does simply it to share their passion (like letting a friend listen to your music collection, even if that’s technically against the license agreement), whereas that is just outright theft.

    2. So I know this has probably pissed off more than a few people, and understandably so.

Whatever happens her, I feel compelled to say that we should be civil with however we respond. This is a great community, so it might not need mentioning, but I just wanna cover all my bases.

…..I also want to say that the main reason I’m saying so is because I think that civility will likely get us further than blind rage. And that’s pretty much the only reason. Fuck being the better person or any harassment being beneath me. I just want to make sure things get resolved effectively.

      1. Right.
        Calm down..
        Calm down..

No. I can’t. No calming down now.
Still angry. But I really shouldn’t attract too much attention to this or else Reigokai will face the consequences.

I guess we can only warn our community and friends to only come here for translations and boycott that page. The way I see it, there’s already almost 50 people scammed by that other site. Poor guys.

      2. Can’t we report him to the patreon main site ?
It was unethical to sell free works and the buyer has the right to know, from what I see the site itself trying to do legit businesses, it cannot be helped if one or two jerks will always find a loophole and trying to exploit fan translator. He also selling some other stuff…. he may be ripping it off from other translator too….

        1. …Right. Let’s figure out a list of things to do and prioritize them the best we can.

          1. We should first confirm whether this person is stealing work or translating on their own(for the other featured series as well). It might not make a big difference, but I feel like we should establish whether this is outright theft and plagiarism of work or exploiting free content for money.

          2. We contact the translator to get an explanation and then, if we can sort out exactly what we really want, civilly but firmly ask them to stop.

          3. We notify the current paying patrons so that they’re at least sorta aware of what’s going on. What they do afterward will be up to them.

          4. If whatever this is stops, that’s that. If the other party is obstinate, we report this to the Patron managers and the like. If they want to do something between the first and second possibilities…well, we can figure things out from there.

Does this sound about right? Incidentally, we should probably concretely define what exactly is wrong with what they’re doing. It feels wrong, but I can’t seem to put it into words.

    3. #”Dear our supporter,
One more step to serve better quality, I’ve changed to different method for my service. As you was notice, each chapter release slightly slower. I am currently releasing weekly, for a total 8 chapters each month.
I would like to thank everyone for supporting me during last years, and I plan to continue for many more years to come.
With your support, I can hopefully release more regular chapters.”#

thats from his/her web page and u can see that he/she cant write correct English. then how he/she is able to translate to English ?.
just from his/her avatar “fox” u know that he/she steal the work of others

      1. Thats like copying what regiokai is doing, at least one regular and one sponsored, this makes 2 per with

Wth… Can we dig his personal info up can destroy his social life

        1. Pls no. Let’s not waste more time and energy on this than necessary. As long as this person stops or drastically changes their policy, I’m fine with dropping it.

    4. Maybe we can report it in a way which goes like this:

it is already done by someone. So, why is he asking for donation on something that is already done.
Is it a re-translating or an edit on reigo’s grammar only?
Even if it is an edit, he shld seek for permission of reigo and state it on his site that he is editing from reigokai.

If it is a retranslation, we shld request for a translation on other chapter (we choose) which is much later release from reigokai within a day. If it s an outright edit from googletranslate, he shld bring his sites down immediately and refund (if possible)
If the quality doesnt match is current release, it will serve as evidence outright copy too?

In fact he shld free release one released chapter and that requested chapter to us… So that we can judge objectively

    5. there are 37 peoples fooled already . nothing to do for them .. but i guess to save others to go there we need to spread the word more .

  43. Thx as always 😊

The thing I’m interested in is actually about the “Origin World” samal said.
Does this meant our world is the first world or something? And all other worlds are copy or something? Makoto once said that the world map for that world is just like japan map but bigger, maybe it was copied from japan only for that world.

    1. Tsukiyomi-sama was saying at his PoV that “Origin World” is the Prime earth in which magic really in low quantity almost cant be detected and the home of the Gods and other world is kinda like Multi-verse in which some Gods are given the right to maintain that world

      1. That’s what I’m saying. Basically the gods are saying that the earth (which we assume to be our world) are “the Origin world”. Which meant other worlds came after. The other multiverse came after or created after our world.

        1. I took the “Origin World” to mean the world where Humans originated, and not that it was the first world ever. Then the gods found them so interesting, they decided to take some of the Humans to other worlds (their own domains), sometimes even modifying them (like Hyumans).

Humans are probably like a very popular weed, that can survive in even the most mana-poor worlds, making them the species of choice to use as a template when custom-making species to live in said worlds. At the same time, they are even better/stronger in mana-rich worlds.

          1. “On my home planet, conditions were harsh! Gravity was ten times higher than that of this world and it was a struggle just to survive! As a result, my race has evolved strong bodies able to survive anything!”

            Or something like that.

    2. It might be just a name to identify the world, it might be also refering to the world from where all humans come from, as in “the Origin of Humanity”

  44. Wow from a hot spring chapter to god crushing chapter ..
Was directly reading from mails for few months because of time but had to come this time to comment .
Haha i wonder if he will be the 4th slave :p

  45. Actually, after rereading this chapter. The gate not only talked trash about his parents and him, it also threatened him and the residents of Asora. The part were it asked him if he wanted to be part of the 1000 and his two retainers, was the wrong thing to say. We all know how he feels about his parents and his people/(subordinates). You don’t tug on Superman’s cape, don’t spit in the wind, don’t pull on the mask of the Lone Ranger and don’t fuck around with him.So gate number 1 is so jacked up. It won’t even be funny. A serious asskicking in the making.

  46. hey its been a long time since I commented. I was busy.
    anyways thanks for the chapter.
completely hyped right now so I forced myself to read the raws after so long my eye hurts because of that but heres what I got when makoto is pissed at you and said he wants to beat your ass then he will beat you even if you escape from a different dimension he will literally pull you from another dimension to asora hahah. anyways the other stuff you can probably guess already. (does this count as spoiler?) I can’t wait for the 4th follower to come.
A question is the 4th follower a girl or a boy?

Also can you update as well on DEH I miss it really.

      1. We speculate it an angel (deity less than god more than mortal) so it will probably neither boy or girl, it will become our first trap character (all hail hideyoshi gender)

  47. “Even though Waterfall went through the trouble of showing me this knowledge” LOL

NOOOOOOO THE CLIFF IS KILLING ME!!

      1. No… none of those pictures are spoilers. The next servant is not in it. Sofia will not revive. Trashmoki is not in it either.

As far as spoilers go, you’re not spoiling anything with these pics. Don’t worry.

      2. I think 3th picture is hibiki and TRASHmoki, look at their weapon green sword (hibiki wind attribute sword) and lance (TRASHmoki main weapon)

      3. In order:
It’s Root during the school festival when he pissed both Mio and Tomoe by staying with Makoto until they arrived in the stadium

        Yup that’s Eva alright

I’m pretty sure that it IS the Stella fort arc cover, and acording to the description of trashmoki spear the guy in armor IS trashmoki (truck-kun please look again)

Are those Misora and Izumo grovelling in front of Makoto? I don’t remember such a scene

Nope, she won’t, the vol 10 is when she dies

      4. @ArturFR I think that one is his students asking for the extra training during the school break. Based on the picture the elder sister was holding his hand asking for him to train them during the break and the 2 males went and did a Dogeza when he was being unsure toward her, interuppting her plea. Makoto looks troubled after all.

  48. Sammal have meet the requirements for unleashing the mako-two.
    Sammal taunt Makoto!
    Makoto is taunted!
    Makoto is enraged.
    Makoto takes the initiative.
    Starting the upkeep phase.

Makoto use Tomoe card, all escape route is blocked.
Makoto use Shiki card, all status ailment is permanently in Effect while Shiki in play
Makoto use Mio card, his offense and defence has lost it’s numerical value, nibelung ring will replace the number.
Makoto has invoked second talent, evolving to Mako-two.
Evolving succeeds, fuction called compassion, mercy and common sense will cease to function while the form is maintained, in their place function called pride, anger and greed will be boosted to sins series, enabling him to unleash their full power.

    Makoto enter end his turn.

    Now Sammal …. *cliffhanger*

    ……….
    ……….
    Me : Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !
    *wryyyyyy*

  49. Wow. Poor Mio, missing out of Makoto’s first god slaying. Mr door doesn’t have any idea what he’s facing here. Plus he’s in Asora, so Makoto’s “arms” are in play. Power enough to match Athena (And this is before he started doing archery again), and godly artifacts that can hold and crush any type of magic. This isn’t gonna be a fight, it’s gonna be a slaughter. If that door is made of magic, which it seems to be, Makoto’s “arms” can squeeze him like a sponge and drain his power dry.

Someone else. I’m willing to bet the 1000 people are payment for the teleport, where he uses some of it, and takes the rest to make himself strong. It’s true that a normal person couldn’t ever pay that kind of price in terms of built in magic, Makoto could pay it hundreds, or thousands of times over, and still have plenty left. Door wanted a 1000 gold coins and Makoto just offered to pay him 100,000 diamonds, but my woodhead wasn’t smart enough to figure that out.

Only way I see door getting out of this is if Suzanoo or the other gods shows up, and ask Makoto to stop. Then they would explain how Makoto has the power of creation and it would have been a great deal for door to accept payment in magic. Too little too late, and Makoto banishes him from Asora.

    All guesses.

    1. Honestly magic power probably isn’t as viable as souls. Makoto is mortal, so there’s likely some benefit to gods that he doesn’t understand. Further the name Samal makes me think of Samael, an angel of death, but the description is more like the Gate of Gehenna. Rather than a God, Samal is probably something of an angel status, or possibly something like a lesser God of passage.

…though maybe this should be said in past tense? I’ve a feeling Samal is about to be a pile of splinters having angered the OP isekai MC. You don’t do that, man!

      1. Sammael has a list of alternate titles and names that prove that he’s a real heavy hitter, starting with Archangel. If this is actually Sammael, then he must be hiding an impressive amount of power.

  50. Imagine punching a door so hard that it turns into a grill.
Then you found out that’s where ALL grills come from, and you got initiated into a secret pantheon club that makes grills.
The stronger you punch, the better the grill. So there are like super strong Gods who punch doors into Perfect Grills, with meat in all the right places and shit.

  51. Don’t go dying until I kill you a thousand times over.

    ………………..

    HUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAKOTO BERSERK MODEEEEEEEEEEEE
