Chapter 193: Gift from a God

“Good morning.”

As soon as I woke up, I did my daily bow shooting and return to the mansion. At the entrance, there was Tomoe and Shiki.

Maybe because of the after-effects of depleting a high amount of magic power, my head was a bit heavy.

When I was pulling my bow, I felt refreshed, but when I finished, that sluggish sensation returned.

While I was greeting the two, my head went round and round and there was no change.

“Good morning, Waka. It looks like your complexion is still not that good but…could it be that for Waka, pulling the bow works as a medicine?” (Tomoe)

“Good morning, Waka-sama.” (Shiki)

“Instead of calling it medicine, it is more like a part of me. I was told that it was okay to not hold back after all.” (Makoto)

I look at the bow in my hands and a wry smile appears in both of their faces.

“The classes are tomorrow, is what I have heard but, are you heading somewhere today?” (Shiki)

“…No, I still haven’t decided yet. I have something to take care of in Rotsgard, so I was thinking about showing my face in the store, but…I think that’s all I have in my plans.” (Makoto)

“Then can you accompany me for a bit? There seems to be a small change in Asora you see.” (Tomoe)

“…In that case, I will change quickly. Mio is already there?” (Makoto)

I ask Tomoe as we walk the corridor.

“No, she has unexpectedly woken up early you see. She said that she will be checking the bowl and has gone to the Eldwas’ furnace.” (Tomoe)

“Bowl…ah, the cooking one. Ceramics have already been completely incorporated in Asora huh. I thought it would end up as a hobby for only a part of them, that’s unexpected.” (Makoto)

I had the Eldwas make a furnace and have them practice ceramic.

Of course, it was the proposal of Tomoe.

It is quite a while back, but the pottery that was created from the ceramic was liked by the people of Asora.

Interestingly, the Highland Orcs, Mist Lizards, Arkes, Gorgons, and the Winged-kins; in all the races, there were people that showed interest in it.

In Asora where metallic and wooden tools prevailed even in tableware, lately, it has been ceramics in all.

It has become natural to make the tablewares that one will be using on their own.

I returned to my room and finished changing, and once again follow the two.

Breakfast will be for later.

If something has happened in Asora, I have to know swiftly.

“Ceramics serve as greetings from the Company, in negotiations, and even for souvenirs. It is truly convenient. Seeing that there’s currently no products similar to others, it seems like everyone is adhering to reproducing it by magic. It is a grateful thing for us that it is showing worth, but, although it is true that they are not teaching the manufacturing methods, they are not trying to hide it at all. How idiotic.” (Shiki)

When we grouped up again, the conversation was still about ceramic.

Shiki was prioritizing the ‘worth’ of ceramic.

Maybe that’s why he has begun giving them away in negotiations and important customers as gifts.

Lately, this has also been known around as a defining product of the Kuzunoha Company.

…There’s also talk that it is being sold at high prices in the black market.

I think that it won’t be long for Limia and Gritonia to begin making them as well though.

Also, Lorel has the knowledge of our world as well, moreover, there’s already people putting it into practice, so there should be no reason to be getting this much attention.

Yeah.

Just like how Shiki said, we are not making obvious the manufacturing method, but we are not hiding it either.

That’s why I thought it was strange that it hasn’t been copied till now.

Even in the store, the Eldwas, Forest Ogres, and Shiki himself were distributing the bowls they made to the customers.

It is limited to a number of important customers is what I told them, and the others, I left it to their own discretion.

By the way, in terms of how well they are made, I think that the ones the Eldwas make are number one, but for some reason, the ones that Akua, Eris and Shiki worked on, have more popularity.

Maybe that’s why the Eldwas had their competitive spirit lit on and increased their own skills, and it seems a portion of the dilettantes assessed them highly.

“Well, in given time, it will circulate to the Empire and the Kingdom, won’t it? There’s the hero there and all.” (Makoto)

“Right. Well, it is already pretty well-known that it is our style anyways. It won’t really bother us.” (Shiki)

“Right. Then Tomoe, what was that about a change?” (Makoto)

“Yes, according to the Winged-kin…it seems like at the northeast, a giant lake can be seen.” (Tomoe)

“Lake?” (Makoto)

Does that mean the terrain has increased?

But I don’t have more followers.

It is way too short of a time for a lake to have formed naturally, but if it is Asora…it might be possible?

Ah, they did say it was giant, so even in Asora, that wouldn’t happen.

“Yes, they said that it was the first time they have seen a size like this, and that they can’t see the end of it. Everything is water, and that new scent was carried by the wind, they said. We won’t know until we actually see it ourselves though.” (Tomoe)

“So big you can’t see the end of it, and a new scent? Could that possible be…” (Makoto)

“Yes, I also thought of the probability. And so, I was bringing Shiki to check it out and met with Waka.” (Tomoe)

“Lately, I have been going with Mio-dono to the port city when there’s time, so I am already used to seeing the sea.” (Shiki)

Shiki speaks about a port city.

As expected, the two thought the same as I.

“Sea huh.” (Makoto)

“It can be taken that way. And in reality, when I asked the Winged-kin if it was the sea, they asked me what was that.” (Tomoe)

“But if it’s the sea, Waka-sama hasn’t gotten a new follower, and I don’t think Asora has expanded for no reason. It might be some sort of sign.” (Shiki)

That’s true.

Until now, Asora has been increasing its size depending on my increase in magic power.

But it hasn’t made any big changes in topography.

Those kind of cases occur when a new follower like Mio and Tomoe get added to the team.

The biggest change lately would be…the addition of Sari.

She is the first demon element here, but she doesn’t have much power, so I don’t think this place would change much just because she was added.

Demi-humans, Mamonos, and hyumans who have more power than her have entered, and it hasn’t shown much change, so the chances are low.

“Anyways, I want to confirm it quick. Tomoe, you know where it is, right?” (Makoto)

“Of course. Just in case, I have told everyone not to get close to it.” (Tomoe)

“Then, let’s go. Can we teleport there?” (Makoto)

“Yes.” (Tomoe)

Tomoe quickly creates a Mist Gate.

I don’t think it will be dangerous, but it is the first time something like this has occurred.

With a bit of cautiousness, I enter the mist, and then…

A pure white sandy beach, and waves of water, water, water…a whole space of water and the horizon that can be seen afar.

A splendid beach like the ones that can be seen in the southern touring catalogues.

“…”

I was speechless.

This is the sea.

It is a type that I have not seen in real life, but I was sure that it was the sea.

I have actual proof that poisons practically don’t work on me, so without much cautiousness, I went to the beach and gave a lick to the water.

Yeah, it is salty.

Salt water.

Tomoe and Shiki did the same and nod.

“This is definitely the sea.”

“It is the sea, it is strangely peaceful though.”

“No doubt about it.”

Shiki, who has done a variety of tasks in the port city, seems to be excited.

I use [Sakai] to search for our current location and the end of the sea.

There’s a number of islands, and there’s also a wall of mist quite far.

Just that it is not visible from here, so it must be really far.

From the Mirage Town to here…I wonder, maybe with a carriage it will take quite a bit to get here.

It might take one to two hours if they hurry, but it would be necessary to have transportation.

Ah, I spontaneously thought of the carriage with luggage accounted as well.

If it’s just people in it, it should be a bit faster.

Especially the Winged-kin, I think they would arrive here pretty fast.

But to make it realistically possible to come and go regularly, there would be a need for a method to teleport huh.

Specially in Asora where there’s no enemy, there’s not much worry about setting a teleport formation.

“Now that I think about it, at our back…?!”

I am at the very center of the sandy beach. Maybe because of my surprise in the sea, I didn’t check out the scale of the beach.

Thinking about that, I look at my back.

There, the sandy beach continued for a while, and then, it turns into land.

This is something that I somewhat understood with Sakai though. But looking at it with my own eyes makes my body stiffen.

At the other side of the white sand that continues on for a while, there’s dry land.

In the land, there’s sparse amounts of grass growing, and trees here and there.

It could be said that at the other side of the super high quality beach, it was a bit dry.

But that’s not the part I was surprised about.

It was the fact that there was something there that Sakai didn’t detect at all.

That’s one of the reasons.

The other reason, are the trees.

A tree I have only seen once in TV, but has an unforgettable form.

“Hm, it seems like there’s something there. A sign? In Asora?” (Tomoe)

It seems like Tomoe has also noticed it.

It is not surprising that she hasn’t given attention to the trees.

I approach the sign that Tomoe pointed out and my Sakai didn’t react to.

I activate my Magic Armor, and use Sakai in enhancement as I approach.

I was quite on guard.

Approaching it, and arriving at the sign from a distance where I can read its contents…

“…Hah?” (Makoto)

I unconsciously let out a stupefied voice.

Tomoe and Shiki also run to where I was.

Each time they kick the sand, it makes a *kyukyu* sound and it makes it less dramatic.

When I finish reading it till the end, the sign shines brightly and flew up.

Yeah, like a touch and go.

…Hah…

‘You have really increased your magic power, Makoto. This is a gift from me. I had my brother help a bit, but it is frankly, the sea! By the way, this is a relay gift, and the gift from Daikoku-jisan<oldman> will be coming a bit later. Do your best from now on as well. Also, after you finish reading this sign, it will become fireworks. There’s no reason for it.

-By Susanoo.”

And so, that’s what was written.

And here I was wondering what was going on.

Now that he mentions it, when those Gods came, they did say something about gifts.

…It seems that because of Daikokuten-sama’s gift, I ended up seeing those weird dreams, so at this rate, I feel like I will be played around for 1 more round.

I don’t know what it will be, but I think that once I increase my magic power more and make Asora bigger, I will know.

Sea.

The sea huh.

What an incredible surprise.

It seems like there are rich people that get things like islands and castles, but receiving a sea is kinda…rare, I think.

A *Don* sound that let us know of the firework resounded in the sky.

“Waka, what’s going on?” (Tomoe)

“Are you hurt anywhere?” (Shiki)

“I am fine. It is from a God, he says that he will be giving me a sea.” (Makoto)

“…”

“…”

“It seems like in this matter of the sea, we are free to use it in whichever way we like.” (Makoto)

“So a sea is something that can be given.” (Tomoe)

“Even if it’s Asora, that’s way too absurd.” (Shiki)

Shiki’s voice was a bit cracked.

I feel like the words of Shiki about being absurd include me as well.

Please spare me from that.

I also understand how you feel.

“The sign didn’t mention it, but with that tree here, I wonder if Athena-sama was involved in this as well.” (Makoto)

“Tree? The tree that is here and there? It is certainly true that it has an interesting shape. As I thought, it really is something from your world, Waka?” (Tomoe)

“Yeah. This is my first time seeing this personally though. It has that form, after all. I don’t think there’s a way I would mistake it.” (Makoto)

“Is it a tree that’s related to a God? In other words, a type of sacred tree? Now that you mention it, I have heard from Tomoe-dono that there are Shrines in your world that are made in places with these kind of sacred trees.” (Shiki)

Shiki makes a wrong guess about my words and is deeply misunderstanding.

“No, sacred trees are mostly trees that have history in it and are seen to have long longevity-ja ga.” (Tomoe)

Tomoe seems to have begun holding a dispute with Shiki.

Well, there’s no need to do something like that. Tomoe’s explanation is correct after all.

“Shiki, I didn’t say it with that meaning. I brought out the name of that God because that tree originally grows in places close to where people who hold believe towards that God are.” (Makoto)

I think that this was part of a homework I had.

“From its shape, it looks like a mushroom.” (Shiki)

Right.

It has a look like that of a mushroom or a broccoli.

From a set distance of the trunk, a large amount of branches spread, and at the top side of it, it is filled in green.

The trunk stretching straight up makes it look like a mushroom, but midway, it ramifies and that makes it look like broccoli.

Its name has impact, and after looking at its strange look from videos, I was able to clearly remember it.

I really wanted to one day see it for myself, but to think that it would be fulfilled in this way.

It is called the Socotra Dragon Tree, and it is written as Dragon Blood Tree.” (Makoto) <竜血>

dragon-blood

“…Quite the dangerous name it has.” (Tomoe)

Tomoe had a slightly bitter face.

“In my world, dragons didn’t exist, so I think dragons had no real relation to it. If I remember correctly, the sap that comes out from the trunk is deep red, and it serves as medicine. And they called it dragon blood or something like that, so it moved by word of mouth and was called the Dragon Blood Tree…or so I think” (Makoto)

There’s Gods, so maybe Dragons actually did exist, but well, in my common sense, they didn’t, so…

If a dragon was actually involved in that tree, it would be interesting, but that’s of no importance right now.

There’s no way to confirm it after all.

“A red sap that can be used as medicine. That’s interesting.” (Shiki)

Shiki looks at the Dragon Blood Tree with different eyes.

“Yeah, it is not only used as ointment, it seems like it has a trait of hardening in rain, so it seems like it was used as a pill as well.” (Makoto)

“…Do you mind if I investigate it?” (Shiki)

“It’s fine. It’s related with the flora, so call the Arkes and Forest Onis as well, okay?” (Makoto)

“Yes!” (Shiki)

“Waka, in my part, I want to investigate the sea itself. Do you mind if I use Mio for that?” (Tomoe)

“Okay.” (Makoto)

“…Just that, Mio and I aren’t specialized in the sea, so if possible, it would be a great help if we had someone that knew of the sea and what’s in it.” (Tomoe)

“True. Is there someone like that?” (Makoto)

“None. How about it, Waka? Asora has increased in size quite a bit, so how about doing a resident selection again?” (Tomoe)

“New residents huh. Looking at the Gorgons and the Winged-kin, if it’s the people that you guys select, it won’t be a problem, maybe.” (Makoto)

“Of course, I will have Waka do a final interview.” (Tomoe)

Uh, she got me.

Even though I haven’t proposed anything, she already got me.

Hm?

Ah!

“Hm, I will do that, but hey Tomoe, weren’t there people that weren’t able to pass in the end? The small ones.” (Makoto)

“Small…ah, there were. I heard they made Ema angry. I don’t remember if they were fairies or spirits or whatever” (Tomoe)

“Yeah, those guys…eh? What was their name?” (Makoto)

Ah…ehm…

“Antonio?” (Makoto)

“If I remember correctly, they did have that kind of name. It was A-something.” (Tomoe)

“What happened to them? We want people related to water right now but, can you investigate that just in case?” (Makoto)

“…Waka-sama, Tomoe-dono; they are called Al-Efemera. A peculiar fairy race that controls a part of the Spirits.” (Shiki)

Shiki entered the conversation that was proceeding between Tomoe and I.

Oh, right.

They did have that kind of name!

The only thing I could remember was how feisty they were.

“Oh, Al-Efemera huh. I could only remember that they were a spunky bunch.” (Tomoe)

So Tomoe was almost the same huh.

Who was the one that was responsible for them?

As I thought, I can’t remember the details.

“Thanks, Shiki. Al-Efemera, right. Then Tomoe, begin the selection, okay?” (Makoto)

“…No well, there’s already a flood of people wishing for migration, you know? Even if I call it selection, it is more like, finally opening one door for a massive line. Well, it is something like that, so it won’t take that much time. What we will be doing is having a few interviews, and investigate the particulars of that race, so…it won’t be long before Waka interviews them.” (Tomoe)

“…A flood, I see. Well, I count on you for the investigation of the numbers in the race and its scale.” (Makoto)

Tomoe and Shiki had begun doing thought transmission.

As for me, I was looking at the sea.

The more I looked at it, the more this beach instilled my desire to take off my clothes and jump into it.

I feel like I can expect quite a bit when the starry sky and the moon come out.

With this scale, there shouldn’t be any complains in having it as a private beach for a bit of time, right?

My expectations are growing.

Anyways, new residents, and a subject that Shiki is interested in researching huh.

Counting the business in the demon race territory, there are a lot of things to do now.

When I go to Rotsgard, there will probably be talk about me going to Lorel, so the other party will most likely want it to happen soon.

It is known that I went to the Empire, so even if I don’t refuse them, I wonder when I will actually be able to go.

Mio and Senpai didn’t have a good atmosphere between them, so if possible, I should leave Mio. I want to go in a time when Senpai is not there and return though.

Regarding this, I should confirm the plans.

Thinking of resting today and working tomorrow might have been a bit of wishful thinking from me.

Looking at the waves that were peacefully overlapping in the sea, matters appear one after another, and yet, I make a bitter smile.

Yeah, let’s begin moving starting today.

The only business I had in Rotsgard was to look at the weakened Root that Tomoe told me about, but that idiot, he literally used all his strength in that blaze, and because of the recoil, he is bedridden, or so I heard.

He is really an idiot to the core.

About visiting Root…I will do some extra tasks while I’m there.

And so, from today on, I will be working.

  1. Now that sea’s available in asora, it’s a must to have girls in bikini. Now makoto, make bikinis and let the girls wear it.
    Huehiehuehie

  2. so no sponsored chapter this sunday? blast this is one of the only things to look forward to for sundays for me.

  3. Friends. Remember, no spoilers.

Some of us seems to be refreshing this page quite often.. though I’m sure the next chapter will come out after 2 more days. The new schedule will see that it comes out Tuesday, unless Reigokai uses Bunshin Jutsu and gives us one sponsored chapter tomorrow…
Which is unlikely because Reigokai is a Ninja School dropout. 😉

Sorry for wrong English. I’m driving.

      1. i only read comments from people i know that have been in this blog for a long time becuse of the spoilers reason, btw thank you pai greenhand for taking the bullet for me xD now i know who to avoid!

      2. Don’t worry. I’m not on the main road, just driving through some country trail. No truck for today.

Also, can I take back what I said about Bunshin Jutsu in the previous post? I think Reigokai is the kind of person that might pull something off when challenged (this is a challenge). Heck, Rei might actually know how to clone himself and surprise me today. I honestly don’t want to see more than one Reigokai(s) (what’s the plural?)
        Nightmare, I tell you. Nightmare.

Watafukbullet, I’m flustered that you read my post. I actually know what will happen in the future chapters since I learnt kung-google-fu (the deathly google translations almost got me dead), but will not disclose because I’m not Spoiler-san.
I’m Truck-kun. And this is Spartaaa… (hits tree).

    1. You know, a lot of people expressed disappointment at not seeing Sari learn about Asora, but…I mean…is it really so important? I didn’t really care about Sari’s addition to the team to begin with-or rather, I cared about it as much as I did about those trashy adventurers when they followed Makoto into the Forest Oni’s territory.

It’s really inconsequential how she’d react because, firstly, everyone already had a consistent prediction for what her reaction would be like and, secondly, she’s trapped there for life so she’s pretty much not going to have any particularly significant impact from now on.

This novel has glossed over what would normally be major character reactions all the time too, so…

      1. I wonder about the second point.

I bet Makoto will change his mind about that after a while. Who knows, maybe she’ll even become like Lime. Only, working under Mio or Shiki instead of Tomoe. My guess is on Shiki, since they’re both mage class, and Mio might still not accept her.

That said, her ability to leave Asora will probably be limited for a long while, like for instance she’ll only be able to do so when accompanying Shiki on his errands, or will need a chaperone of sorts, maybe even being assigned as backup for Lime on some of his assignments which may also require a mage.

      2. people just want to see sari’s reaction cuz thats pretty much how the chronological order should be. they dont just arrive at asora and smack her down to unconsciousness yknow.

btw… does sponsored chapters still come out on sundays? the patch notes didnt clarify too much about it.

  4. Now that ive read this is a gift from susanoo, this got me thinking:

Since the sea is a gift that god gave and not makoto who made it means that it cant reproduce water. So, someone needs to manage or reproduce it like a passive skill, so the 4th servant might be of a water element, so could be a water high spirit or a water god?

    1. When makoto forms a contract:

      Shen = Asora
      Mio = River
Shiki = Fruits? Which is a banana that is LOL

So if its a water god = maybe fishes and sea?

    1. Her common sense is so broken shes sitting in her room trying to rebuild it, like a giant 3d puzzle. Give her a few chapters and she might get over it and show her face inthe story again.

  5. Eh~ So this time, the gift is a sea. I wonder what kind of race will come ? Of course, the stronger, the better. After all, there’s nothing better than trampling the strong ! AHAHAHAHAHAHAH !

Wah, there are so many things to wait for : the Pervert’s reaction, the Blue-skinned Loli pov, the next races, the new islands, the meeting with the Chibi miko… That’s great !

    Thanks for the chapter !

  6. Thanks for the chapter Reigokai.

“By the way, in terms of how well they are made, I think that the ones the Eldwas make are number one, but for some reason, the ones that Akua, Eris and Shiki worked on, have more popularity.”

He doesn’t know why? Did he really erase that student argument he overheard about which one was better from his head like he said he would?

And a sea is something that can be given as a gift huh? Common sense-chan is already dead you know? There’s no need to dance on her grave as well is there? Show some respect for the deceased!

    1. Oh man! I forgot to tsukkomi that comment!

I can’t decide how creepy it is to want to use ceramics a person you like made, but hey, whatever sells, right? I wonder if the Kuzunoha store publishes who made what or if the fans are just fanatic enough to tell from looking.

If I had to choose a cup/bowl to buy though, I think I’d go with Makoto’s, with Ema’s as an alternative. Knowing him, drinking or eating from his work will give me stat boosts like all the other Asora foods.

      1. Well, I don’t think it’s that creepy to just want to own something the person you like made. It’s pretty common in japan for them to treat it like a big deal to be able to eat something the person you like cooked/baked and also common for fans of a popular person to buy anything they sell that they made themselves. It crops up now and then in anime/manga.
It’s the perverts who steal used underwear and tissues and stuff that you got to watch out for. Now that is creepy. REALLY creepy. Compared to that a bowl is nothing…….

  7. pffftt. this chapter is quite simple. sadly mio is not in it! master first time seeing the asora sea were spend with shiki and tomoe~

    LOL

    anyway thank you Rei-san!!

  8. thanks for the chapter

“Also, after you finish reading this sign, it will become fireworks. There’s no reason for it”
    love this god

      1. Hmm. Now that I’ve done a little research into the 3 Shinto siblings(aka, 3 second Google), I wonder what canonicity the author will give them?

Susanoo killing Yamata no Orochi is famous, but there’s also him throwing a flayed horse at Amateratsu’s room and killing another goddess(which caused the whole “Sun hiding in a cave” story).

Tsukuyomi also killed a goddess of harvest because she provided the food to a feast in a gross way, which pissed off Amateratsu so much the sun and moon are never next to each other in the sky. Oh, and there’s also the fact that they’re married siblings in some stories…

  9. Thanks 4 the chapter!

Future new immigrants! Prepare to have your mind blown!
BTW, with the sea there, I’m hoping for merfolks. specifically mermaids.

  10. Hmmm….. there’s no “Tomoe got sulk because she didnt get bathed by Makoto’s power” part or maybe she’ll have the chance but in an situation then?

Wonder if they’ll try to have beach festival or beach sports festival? That’ll be fun to read and hoped there’s a fan service with tomoe, mio, gorgons :DDDD
    and please no sari please

  11. Oooh, fast! Superb, thanks.
I really want to know sari’s reaction when she entering asora…Will she feels envious with this land or forgetting her past and happily trying anything that new to her

    1. hmm…. i think she be shocked them envious as for forgetting her past i dont think so more likely she’ll be still loyal to the demon lord but she be just or slightly more loyal to asora or respect there secret for most of the demon raise hate the “Bug goddess” and asora tho don’t necessary hate the goddess but they don’t like her greatly.

  12. Thank you for the chapter! Man, that sign lol And Asora will be quite active from now on? I wonder if we’ll see any reaction from the Bug regarding all the migration?

… and no reactions from Sari…

  13. I just wanted to come here and personally say thank you!
You have no idea how your updates make me feel, they are literally the only thing that makes me happy nowadays.
    So, sincerely, THANK YOU!
I wish you the best of luck !

  14. Thanks for the chapter! Also, for Tomoe to be his number one follower…….He spends next to no time with her right? Or am I wrong that he has Tomoe do all the difficult tasks like investigating the monster races.

  15. A truçy relaxing chapter, I totally though that the 4th Servant would be there, but oh well. Thanks for the translation, Makoto my boy you should strip and plunge in that beach mate, enjoy your day off, you workaholic.

    1. well flowing how his other servant came to him he first fight’s them then talk to them and after the others say “make the pack’ they do it and bada bing bada boom “servant get!” the question is what kind of err,,, “person” will the 4th be? and what skill will 4th bring for both in battle and out for example mio in battle with her healing factor and such in a RPG terms she is a powerful tank but out side of it she a great cook.
it more fun to think of the skill’s then the gender and raise of 4th for “gender” it can go eather way and “raise” phh… there a ton of them to pick from for all we know the next one will be a alien from the moon.

  16. Tnx 4 the chap Reigo-kami!!!😘

I think Susanoo gave the beach to Makoto only for 1 reason….

Susanoo: “All Gods (minus one) come to the NEW holyday location!!! Have some fun in your infinite boredoom, come in Asora for some happy time!! Kind resident, good food and beautifull girls!!!
Now opened a NEW BEACH!!! Incoming…….even hot spring!!!”

  17. “…A large tree that raises up a forest. Also…a dragon and welcoming rain.” (Chiya)
is the large tree the Dragon Blood Tree?… And I think that the dragoon and welcoming rain is the previews attack of root…
    .
    .
    .
“A person that gives a lot of peace of mind…” (Chiya)
so this is the only line left huh… might as well be the 4rt Servant?…

  18. So.. By reading everyone’s comments above, I came to an idea regarding that giant tree.
First… making things clear; The sea is a gift from Susanoo , Daikokuten gave him the Alternate Timeline Dreams (and later stop them since Makoto doesn’t need it it anymore after Creation). The tree could be from Athena. It’s useful as medicine, etc. But… Maybe it’s also a hint from the gods that Makoto must reach enlightment to achieve divinity.

The fourth servant isn’t from them though. We’ll see in future chapters.

  19. Slap root a good one.

though somehow i feel like he might “die” and become the next guild head.
    a girl.
based more on what he thinks makoto likes

  20. Thanks for the chapter as always…..
Well, i wonder what happen to Sari, as for there are nothing describing her condition……

    1. chances are that she recovering from the shell shock from seeing her new “home” and the common knowledge of Asora.
      ———
Sari: my eye are playing tricks on me…. yep I defiantly not in a paradise ware not only the ground is so fertile the crops grow in 3 day’s but are so nutritious that it can make you stronger the more you eat them and it’s defiantly not so present liveing here that it’s simpler to the demon lords castle yep defiantly not….
random person1: I was like that to is surprising that the young lord made this world and it grows larger when he gets more powerfull!
      Sari:…..
random person2: i was surprised that Tomoe was the superior dragon Shin also that mio is the spider of clammy who wood of thonk it?
      Sari;cant hear you…..
random person1: Ya i hear ya i wish i can do a ruling pack with Yong master for Shikiwas just a normal litsh but got super strong with that pack…”sigh” Oh by the way it turns out the giff those god that came over to play gift was..
Sari: LA LA LA LA NOT HEREING THIS LA LA LA!!!
      ———-
i can not resist doing this roll play of Sari common sent braking down.

  21. this is the first time i heard Dragon blood tree i though Athena Sacred plants are Olive Oil ? Or is it Shiva? i don
t really know about the HIndu/Buddha Good i only know about Norse and Olympus god

  22. A stupid question but did Makoto said that lorel knows of asora or a bit of knowledge to it? If so how? Please answer this ignorant one.

    1. If you’re referring to what was mentioned in this chapter I think it was referring to how Lorel might have knowledge of ceramics considering they have more general knowledge about things in the original world. I don’t believe anyone actually knows about Asora just that there might be a “mysterious village of mist” that “supplies” Kuzunoha Company.

  23. LOL, Root is bedtridden. That dude has become my favourite character so far. I love his personality.
Spoiler-san please? What type of pact would the fourth servant use with Makoto?
And I heard spoiler that her name is Tamaki. True?

  24. So wait…

    The potencial servants now are

    “The Heroine”
    “The Mermaid”
    “The Fairy”
    “The Grount” [probably not]
“The Slime” [I AM NOT LETTING THIS GO!!!]

    1. About a year ago, the superior Dragon and the Calamity Dragon had to make pact 8:2 with them. the highest form of Lich had to wear 13 rings contained Makoto power to make pact with him.
Sooo ah, how are those 5 “potencial” servants of you gonna work? Grount, how many rings does she have to put on? the other 4, I can’t count. Up to this moment, only gods can make pact with him.

      1. I can see thread topics like this becoming popular:
“The gods/goddesses of this world suck”
        “Divine Punishment Befalled…”
        “A goddess tricked my loli”
        “Such jeckass gods..”
        or in Makoto’s case
        ” I became a god, What should I do?”
I can see Shield Bro and Satou answering that one

If Mr.Lyle starts a topic I am sure it will be a blast .lol

        1. I think you’re missing the most important topic type of all.

“I really want to eat ___ but this world doesn’t have it! How do I make it?!”

“I just killed ___, but ran out of rations on this mountain. Are there any good recipes for cooking one?”

  25. Thank you for the translation, Reigo-senpai.

Spoiler-san would had been here sooner… but his vessel has caught a terrible cold. So as this is not the time for Truck-kun, Spoiler-san will refrain from spoilers. What? It’s actually hard to find a suitable vessel who seems to be sturdy when it comes to being hit by a truck.

  26. Thanks for the chapter reigo-san
well we be having mermaids next or maybe sahuagen is my best bet for a new residence.

    1. I forget which ones specifically, but I think you needed to recharge the summons in the more recent FF games, and the most powerful ones in earlier games had a cooldown of several battles, after being summoned. So maybe Knights of the Round, or old school Bahamut….

      1. They need to recharge, yes, but they’re not bedridden.. XD
Can you imagine getting message, your summon is not available because it still has cold from the last summon? XD

  27. I was a bit sad when this chp didn’t continue from the previous one but after thinking about it is just the way this author writes it has done this several times before. …..ty for the chp btw. . . . . .

  28. Thanks for the chapter! I was hoping we might see a bit more of Sari’s reaction to discovering Asora. Demons have been looking for a fertile place of their own all this time, and now here’s Makoto just handing it out to whatever species they let through.

    1. Haha. I doubt makoto will let them all in.

I mean, seriously… they are creation of goddess. And the fire n earth spirit are not totally enemies of goddess.
So, technically, i doubt he will let sari disclose any information on asora (thats y he decided to imprison sari)

Well, i hope ema would return during any interview for new resident… again.

  29. Wow, new chapter!!! I thought there would be at least a week gap considering last chapter’s length.
Thank you Reigokai-san! Good work as always!

  30. Maybe there really are conspiracies to gain first status, as this is the second time I inexplicably fell unconscious just before a chapter posted, like I was drugged…only to wake up about an hour after the chapter released….

*looks around for hidden surveillance equipment* >.> <.<

  31. the previous chapter was still a surprise for me and i really like the length of that chapter and would want to thanks the TN for translating that super long chapter again~~

  32. Am i the only who’s happy they’re new people to asora? Since they need people who are well verse with water, will one of the new residents be mermaids? lol, they forgot the existence of those little pixies.

This is the perfect moment to exact revenge on that pervert dragon for all the trouble IT has caused.

Poor Sari, becoming part of the supporting cast after coming to asora. I knew she was going to fall behind some of the residents but from the context in the chapter, it seems it might be more then i thought. I wonder how many residents of asora are demon general level?

    1. Demon general…
      May be all arke.
I mean, its had to tell since we didnt hav any of thr general battle any of the resident.
But, from the fact that they can instant kill the mutants at least.
Its safe to assume they may be juz slightly below the general rather than at their level.

And seriously, they shld forget the small things already. So prideful, they are entering makoto world and yet… They dun hav a speck of respect for makoto…

  33. Thanks for the chapter!
The Gods are awesome! Athena not giving Olive trees is weird, though. She’s the patron God of Athens for the olive trees in the first place. Maybe the author forgot that.

  34. list of potential water-based companions for Makoto: Cthulhu-oid, Kraken, Leviathan-whale-creature, Great Spirit of Water, mermaid, naiad, kun-peng.

    1. If you think about it critically, Leviathan(another water dragon), and everything after the Great Spirit of Water can be ruled out…maybe keep the Peng, if it’s the dragon eating variety….

Anyway, I doubt Cthulu or any mindflayers would join him as they are their own gods, or subordinate to gods already. It probably will be some kind of King of the Sea though, Neptune or Triton(MerKings not the gods) maybe if it’s connected to mermaids joining Asora…maybe unleash a Kraken….

  35. Thanks for the chapter.

    Word of the day: “dilettantes”
    – a person who cultivates an area of interest, such as the arts, without real commitment or knowledge.

  36. Alright! Finally a normal sized chapter. So it seems Root literally burned away all his battle power in that one blow. I guess that means he isn’t quite as strong as last chapter made him seem. At least, not as close to god level as I thought.

Ceramics, huh? Would Mio have an interest in that sort of thing? The only thing I can think of is food art where she studies arrangement of food to make them look nicer. Or maybe there’s some special cooking method involved? Either way, it’s an interesting culture for Asora to have.

Haha! Shiki made a common sense jab at Makoto. Yeah, apparently seas can make for a nice gift. Who knew? And then fireworks for no particular reason. XD Susanoo certainly knows what to do for the lols.

……Wait. WAITWAITWAITWAIT. He had his brother help? Does…Does that mean our moonbro Tsukuyomi has recuperated and is back in business?! Has he learned that the little hyuman he sent off and got along with is slowly ascending to godhood?!

    1. Mio would be all over ceramics.
Not only are they superrior (with some exceptions) in food storage and presentation to metal and wood dishes (no rust, no getting soaked, great heat retention).
They can also be used to make food in ways that wood and metal dishes won’t let you.

    2. With brother he probably ment another one of his sibling, they did say previously that Tsukuyomi will still take a while until he recovers and his authority has no connection with the sea anyway.

      1. Nope. According to the mythology, Susanoo is one of three Shinto siblings, both of which we’ve already heard from (and one of which is a woman and thus not a “brother”).

Tsukuyomi might not control seas, but I’d say the moon is fairly closely tied to the ocean due to the tide. But that’s just speculation.

  37. Thank you very much Reigokai !

The sea and a giant tree… humm.. I understand the sea but don’t see the reason for that tree to be in Asora. Why a giant tree though?

  38. Thanks for the chapter~
Is that actually a gift from one of those gods? I thought only one of them gave a real gift, and the other two were going to pretend by having him increase his mana nonstop, so he can manifest his own abilities~

    1. Well susanoo was planning on giving him a power like his brother. Bu was stoped by Shiva because of Makoto not being able to withstand the draw back or was it backlash of the power. Think of it asa countainer that is full and is tightl closed and you keep pouring water into it and it explodes kind of a thing. So instead give him a sea~ convinient right? We could even and mght see Tomoe and Mio in….Swim suits!

      1. specking of Tomoe and Mio in Swim suits what kind do you think they will ware? knowing Tomoe she try to find one that is the closes to what a samurai will ware as for mio…..might be a hard one to pin down tho i do know Tomoe and defiantly Mio will be looking at Makoto in his swim ware.

        1. I can’t imagine Tomoe wearing anything other than a loincloth + chest bindings. Womanly charm be damned(as far as she thinks, since I’m confident readers numbering in the double digits would voice their approval instantly).

  39. It would be funny if the land in asora they are on will turn out to be only a small island when it expands more.If he wanted to end the war with the demons all has to do is let them all emigrate to asora.

  40. Thanks for the chapter. I wonder how they announce to the other races about asora. Also does anyone know why the dragon blood tree have some link to athena?

        1. “The dragon blood tree is one of the most popular natural wonders growing in and around the Mediterranean region.”

Dude, they originate from the island of Socotra, but they have been spread around. You could order seeds, and grow one in or around your home if you wanted to.

  41. Yey
disappointed by lack of Sari mention, can only imagine how much a freak out she had when she found out he owned a fucking world

also, woot back to school soon, this ought to be good

  42. What happen to Sari? Is she freeing go around? is she working all day? I wish she not become some random mention in the future.
Thank for the chapter, but is me or this was very short and random?

  43. It’s the sea, THE SEA!
Nice and all, but what about Ocean Research around here first?
Oh, speakong of which, if any of you played Anno 2070, you sure really want an ocean construction developments, right? Especially the Anno 2070 DLC: Deep Ocean.
Anyway, thanks 4 update. And as they said, it suposed to be chap 193, not 192.

    1. you forgot the most in thing about the sea in anime…..BEACH EPISODE!!
for now they have a beach it only a mater of time before swim suites, swimming, and fun under the sun.

    1. Gifts are either coming in turns, or they all chipped in to get it there, but from what he says about the next gift, I’m guessing the former. Daikokuten has been tagged to deliver his gift next.

    2. The gift is not from the speaker but from someone else. Person A wants to give Person B a gift but can’t give it personally so Person C hands the gift to Person B in Person A’s behaft.

  44. This chapter is incredibly disappointing. Literally 0 discussion about the fallout of last chapter, didn’t talk to Root, mentioned Sari ONCE, no one talks about him being able to do creation and maybe he’s going to become a god soon or anything (which is mentioned in the last chapter but not by his followers), also the whole black hair thing and Tomoe. I mean nothing, just talk about a sea, a tree, and new residents being set up.

  45. i think all these gift meaning they welcoming makoto as the creation God. soon maybe even the Sun God ameteratsu(i forgot itd official name) came by to give present to Makoto.

  46. Thanks for all the hard work!

As others have said, isn’t this chapter 193?

Also, a little disappointed we didn’t get to see Sari’s reaction to what amounts to a paradise. But am happy to see that Root really did use all his power to do that attack. (If he could fire that off continuously, I really would have my doubts about Makoto being at his level yet. Or at least not at the “comfortable superiority” that Tomoe mentioned.)

  47. Lol When they talked about presents from the Gods and a new tree, I thought Athena gave Asora an olive tree or something.

Thanks for the chapter! Don’t burn yourself out, Reigo-sama!

    1. Yeah, that was my thought. After all, Athena = Olive Branch, right?

Well, this Socotra Tree is probably more valuable anyway. According to wikipedia, it was used in a bunch of stuff on top of medicine back in the day. Stuff like glue, cosmetics, and even toothpaste.

    1. Wow this chapter size wasn’t so bad. I think the last chapter few chapters were just exceptions. Though I liked the size of those chapters.

      1. I think I like these more modest chapters more, to be honest. It’s more manageable to read and discuss everything that happens in it.

I end up feeling like we didn’t even get to address a lot of the stuff from 192 just because of the sheer size of it.

      2. I like the larger size because it’s just more material to read. It’s not hard to analyze the last chapter, at least to me.

It felt like reading a chapter worth of material from a book.

    1. I don’t think this qualifies as a spoiler:
I haven’t seen a standalone Sari POV chapter (haven’t checked either), but the next time she appears, she’ll first have a POV section of her evaluating the situation she’s in.
If i recall correctly.Take this with a bit of salt. This is from reading raws, and i am not remotely fluent in japanese.

      1. Thats good too.
I mean, sari’s acct will be interesting.

Hope ahe had a change in heart…
Not saying that she shld forget abt demon totally as it is ungrateful…
But, i hope she understand that makoto means no harm.
He is truly, only a normal human who juz happen to stand at the boundaries between god and hyuman now…

      2. Its like, a well mannered old man with the worlds entire stock pile of nukes. He might not want to fight anybody or hurt anything, content living out the rest of his life in peace. But at the end of the day, that is a lot of nukes in the hands of a third party. The demons have no idea if they might accidentally do something that sends him over the edge and he just decided to nuke everybody. Heck they are probably afraid that the humans do something stupid and makoto just decides to shift+delete the world.

    1. To be honest, while he might have an agenda, Susanoo doesn’t seem to be a “big picture” sort of guy. I would have no trouble believing that he did it just because he thought it would be nice and potentially fun.

        1. Speaking of which, can someone explain what was going on with that sign to me? Was the sign just an ordinary sign posted in the middle of the trees?

Was it engraved on the trees?

      1. that sign probably also like a notice from susano for makoto to make a beautiful beach summer firework event with him dating tomoe and mio wearing yukata and do a ‘deed’ guheheheheheheh

    2. A Symbolic Foreshadowing I guess

      Trivia:

The Mongol INVASION had been stopped by a typhoon (Kamikaze, “divine wind”), and the resistance of the new warrior class known as samurai.

Susanoo is the Shinto god of the sea and storms.

Hojo Tokimune(who was a coward) is very similar to Makoto
The fact that Makoto practices Zen Meditation(while doing archery) makes the two more similar
When Tokimune died, it has been said he had been a bodhisattva, looked at people’s welfare, betrayed no signs of joy or anger and studied Zen so that he reached enlightenment.

      1. Opp I forgot to mention the Hojo Tokimune was the de facto ruler of Japan during the Kamakura Shogunate. He led Japanese forces against the Mongol Invasion.

    1. TOP 10?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

      TOP 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and so thx for the chapter o/

    1. — Also, after you finish reading this sign, it will become fireworks. There’s no reason for it.
      -By Susanoo.” —
Yup, at least it didn’t just exploded…
      :3…

      — and because of the recoil, he is bedridden, or so I heard. —
      Pfft, ahahahahaha…
      XD…

      A little typo?
. Mio is already there?” (Makoto)
. Is Mio already there?” (Makoto) ???

      Dragon Blood Tree.” (Makoto)
      Is it a note???
