Translator: Hey guys, a translator talk here đ
The moment I translated the âRaidou breaksâ chapter, I was sure it would explode. I was actually looking forward to what would happen and you guys definitely didnât let me down.
All your comments were awesome. The majority were actually constructive opinions and views in different angles. Of course there will be bashing towards Makoto, and they were all interesting as well. Makoto was struck with the truth after all. We all knew he was messing up as a merchant, but for the repercussion to come in such a⌠realistic manner. It was pretty surprising.
I honestly loved that chapter, and the reactions towards it make me love this community even more.
Keep it up guys. You are my motivation!
In the time when Princess Lily was troubled in stepping to action regarding Jin and the othersâŚ
At a section of the audience, two girls wearing clothes that remarkably stand out were sighing.
Raidou- Makotoâs followers, Tomoe and Mio.
The other follower, Shiki, was babysitting the students, so he was doing separate actions.
âHow boring~. When thereâs this much difference in power, it isnât a fight but a show-ja naâ (Tomoe)
âThatâs why I was saying so since yesterday, wasnât I? If they were not Waka-samaâs students, I wouldnât even be here watching-desu waâ (Mio)
âIf they were our students like with Shiki, we would be able to enjoy it in a different way but⌠Mio, what is that bizarre inflated bag-ja?â (Tomoe)
âWhat you ask, it is the specialty products of booths here and there-desu waâ (Mio)
âIt is an answer, and yet it isnât. No, what I am asking is about the amount-ja yoâ (Tomoe)
At the side of Tomoe thereâs Mio and further after, thereâs several big light brown paper bags. Seeing that, she asks with enmity.
Mioâs answer was nonchalant, and she tells her that it is all food.
But what Tomoe wanted to know, is just as she said, the amount of it.
In the seats that are supposed to be fully occupied, one of them is being totally occupied.
To protect her honor, Mio explains that this is originally the seat of Makoto and because he canât come, she is just utilizing it in an effective way.
In no way did she put all that food because she doesnât want anyone else to come sit there.
âI will eat it all by the time we return, so donât mind it. If you want me to share some with you, just say it honestly okay?â (Mio)
âI donât need any. I feel like it might give me a heartburnâ (Tomoe)
âHmph, if this were alcohol, you would take it without doubtâ (Mio)
The two of them leisurely watch the team battles unfolding in the stage while doing trivial talk.
There were no matches that were worth watching, and even in the matches with Jin and the others, the opponent was so weak it wasnât fun.
Moreover, their master Makoto was not there.
Watching those matches earnestly might be something hard to do for these two girls.
âAt this rate, I canât expect much from tomorrowâs semifinal and finals. Well, we will be able to sit along with Waka, so thatâs fineâ (Tomoe)
âSame-desu wa. If I am together with Waka-sama, the place doesnât matterâ (Mio)
âFumu, it seems it is done already-ja na. Muâ (Tomoe)
âŚ
Tomoe and Mio notice something at the same time.
âMio, Waka is calling-ja. We are going backâ (Tomoe)
âI know already-desu wa. It seems he is slightly dispirited, so letâs hurryâ (Mio)
Receiving a thought transmission from their master, Tomoe and Mio both nod and get up from their sits.
A short and straightforward thought transmission.
âI have something I want to consult about, so I want you to return to the companyâ, is what he said.
A tone with no vigor.
While holding worry in their chest, they meet up with Shiki and return to the company.
ââââââââ
âFor the time being, it is fine to kill that representative-desu wa ne?â (Mio)
âMio, the talk has not finished yet. Calm down firstâ (Tomoe)
âWhat stupid thing are you saying? I am completely calm-desu wa. Canât you see that I clearly understand what I should do?â (Mio)
âThatâs why I am telling you to wait for now. The talk has not finished yet-ja. Wait for a bitâ (Tomoe)
âSuch abusive language towards Waka-sama⌠abusive language⌠it wasnât such a lukewarm level-desu wa ne? How should I kill him?â (Mio)
âMio. I am telling you to hear what that very Waka has to say until the end-jaâ (Tomoe)
After I finished telling the outline of what happened, Mio stood up and tried to leave the room.
I didnât have the vitality to stop her immediately, so Tomoe took my place and inhibited Mio.
Even I could tell that Tomoe was looking at me with fainthearted eyes.
N?
Inhibited was it?
I feel like she didnât stop herâŚ
âAs I thought, one of us should have gone as wellâ
Itâs Shiki.
In terms of result, it is just as he said.
It might have been better if I had one of them accompany me.
If I had one of my followers with me, I felt like they would resolve it with strength. I thought that if that happened, then it would be pointless.
The first time Rembrandt-san met Tomoe, he was left completely speechless and was pretty withered.
I wanted to know the extent of the ill will the other merchants held towards me.
In the past, when I met Rembrandt-san the first time to give him the Ruby-eyeâs eyes, it went well, so I thought maybe I would be able to hold my conversation if the other party was a merchant.
The context matched when I associated with Rembrandt-san, so even with the matter of Tomoeâs level, I think I would have been able to manage it properly. But this time, the representative was someone I had no connection with.
I didnât want to prepare something like intimidation in our first meeting.
That naĂŻve way of thinking led to this.
I was pushed into an unreasonable situation, made a fool of, and returned like a loser.
âSorry for saying something like wanting to go aloneâ (Makoto)
âIf one of us were with you, thereâs the chance that place would have turned into a sea of blood, so not everything is bad. Donât mind it that muchâ (Tomoe)
âWaka-sama is not in the wrong!â (Mio)
Tomoe tries to comfort me and Mio interposes with a rebuttal.
No, no matter how you think about it, the way I dealt with it was bad.
âNow that I think about it, not a single one of us has knowledge in business. We all began as novices. There might have been more ways to deal with it if we were introduced by Rembrandt-shi and taught the basicsâ (Shiki)
Not might. Thatâs what we should have done.
Before that, thereâs the problem that even when I myself began a company just recently, I still went and did things here and there, neglecting the business.
And in truth, the company still did well.
No, thatâs how it looked.
Thatâs why it brought upon more negligence.
It may be this late of a time to do so, but I have to reflect on it.
âShiki, even you! Why does Waka-sama have to feel down?! In the first place, Waka-sama was displeased by the shortage of medicines that canât reach the hands of the people and were easily losing their life, so he aspired to spread medicines, right?! Why does he have to learn how to act around those merchants to not be resented?! He is doing something thatâs good for everyone, and yet, why?! Isnât this ridiculous?!â (Mio)
The words of Mio that were trying to cover for me no matter what, were grinding at my heart.
Thatâs right.
I wanted to sell medicine in order for everyone to have an easy way of reaching out to it.
For that reason, I wanted to do business widely without minding which country it was.
Because of circumstances, we also handle various miscellaneous goods as well, but those are just extras.
Doing something good.
Because I had that thinking in a part of me, maybe thatâs why I only looked at the people I was selling to.
Not doing anything excessive with the price because of people of the same trade, the counter-plans I did for the copies and resale; those were the only things I thought of.
And in truth, even the price might be questionable. We collected everything ourselves, had the people needed for the compounding, and left it to a point where we would barely escape deficit.
That is⌠within the range?
Thatâs probably not it.
Since the time the people made a rude comment of my demi-human employees, I havenât gone to the meetings of the merchants in the area.
Lately, Akua, Eris and the eldwa craftsmen have grown more accustomed to socializing with hyumans. But, even so, it was most likely an error to not relate with the merchants around.
Ignoring association must have made the impression of Kuzunoha Company even more ominous.
Even if I have good intentions, a business is a business.
There will obviously be competition.
There will be people who would want to eliminate the ones who have the same target of customers, and if you do something that stands out, the big companies will place an eye on you.
I didnât make a method to cope with it when something like that happened, and have continued until this day.
As expected, I canât order to eliminate them just because they have kept an eye on us after all.
In Tsige it was different, but in Rotsgard I donât have any backing.
In other words, I was defenseless.
âMio, thatâs just idealistic talk. It isnât just distributing. As long as we are doing a business, these kind of things happen. I wonât say Waka has done nothing wrong, but I have to admit we were somewhat defenselessâ (Tomoe)
â⌠I hold the same opinion. Of course, it is true that I should have acted in a better way. I have no excuseâ (Shiki)
â!!! Thereâs something wrong with you guys! Even though Waka-sama is the absolute rule! The stupid ones are the merchants that are only looking at the near future!â (Mio)
Mio would most likely stand by my side no matter what happens.
Even if I were to turn into a fiend, even if I were to become the enemy of the whole world, she would still be willing to fall to the same place as I am.
Thatâs why I have to put myself together.
If she falls so far, thatâs all my responsibility.
As if persuading myself, I try to kill the unfair anger thatâs inside me.
At the very least, I donât think this is something that is fine to solve with just violence.
The existence of Mio who is willing to give her everything for me, prevented my current unstable emotions from rampaging.
â⌠Waka. That representative said things that are difficult to forgive, but he also said good things. How about it? I think that since we have the chance, thereâs also the option of giving up on hyumans and opening a store in the villages of demi-humansâ (Tomoe)
âServing only demi-humans?â (Makoto)
âYes. If you wish to, we can also serve demonic beasts and mamonos. Also, Waka told me, that you wanted the four seasons. I donât think Waka likes conflict, so you probably intent to have a relationship with the demon race in order to secure that place right? Then, I think it should be fine to do business with them. Continuing business in the hyuman society and having our hearts crushed, it would only create more weight in Waka, and I donât think thatâs a good ideaâ (Tomoe)
âThe demon race publicly hates hyumans, but they are generous towards other races. I think the proposal of Tomoe-dono is worth consideringâ (Shiki)
âI⌠donât understand complicated stuff. But I donât think thereâs a need for Waka-sama to be under people that just want to take advantage of Waka-samaâs kindnessâ (Mio)
âŚ
Kindness huh.
Maybe I was looking at it that way in some part of me.
And, maybe the people around saw it that way as well.
âIâŚâ (Makoto)
âWaka, please tell us what you are currently thinking. If Waka so wishes, we will fight with whoever. Also⌠we will lower our heads to whoever you wish us toâ (Tomoe)
Mio and Shiki nod at Tomoeâs words.
Right. Thereâs no need to hide anything from them.
They are my family in this world after all.
â⌠Just like I promised to Tomoe, I plan on having a connection with the demon race. After a conversation with one of the demon generals, I promised a meeting with the Demon Lord. It will be after the school festival is over, but I intent to meet with the Demon Lord and ask it to let me take over or borrow one location where Tomoe says the four seasons are inâ (Makoto)
I resolve myself and tell the three what I was thinking.
Tomoe nods with a joyful look and glittering eyes.
Shiki looks like he consents. He silently nods with his eyes closed.
Mio simply accepted my words and was smiling.
âIf that happens, it will create a big debt towards the demon race. Talking to the demon lord. I canât say anything definite, but I donât think it will end in a simple manner. Will the hegemony of this world continue in the hands of the Goddess and hyumans, or will it be plundered by the demon race? We might even have to participate in that conflict. If I had to speak my ideal scenario, it may be naĂŻve, but it would be to hold a connection with the demon race while continuing business with the hyumans. But depending on the situation, I donât know what would happenâ (Makoto)
I bring a world map from the shelf and spread it on the desk. And then, I place a hand on the location Tomoe pointed out before.
âThis was the place right, Tomoe?â (Makoto)
âYes. Thatâs the placeâ (Tomoe)
âThe previously associated country of Elysion, Kaleneon. The place is around Yamagata prefecture and Tsukiyama huhâ (Makoto)
The place that will provide Asora with the four seasons.
And also the place that is deeply connected with the two hyumans I met.
âYamagata?â (Tomoe)
âNothing. Just pointless rambling. Whatâs important is what I said before that. Itâs a country named Kaleneon. That place⌠seems to be the native country of my parentsâ (Makoto)
â?!â
âMy parents met there, and after that, they became adventurers, traveled, and transferred to my world. In other words, to me, it is also my home in a sense. Of course, that has nothing to do with the four seasons, so it is fine to ignore that point for nowâ (Makoto)
I have no emotional attachment at all anyways.
If possible, I would be happy to obtain even a little bit of information of my parents, but it is a country that has fallen to ruin.
The demon race probably knows more information of Kaleneon.
If they didnât turn everything into ash when they invaded that is.
âBut Waka-sama, if I remember correctly, Kaleneon is the place the librarian Eva and Gotetsuâs RuriaâŚâ (Shiki)
As if remembering something, Shiki says the name of the Ansland sisters.
âThatâs right. The birthplace of those girls. Thatâs why I had each of them decide something. If both of them accept, IâŚâ (Makoto)
I tell the three of them what I was thinking.
Thatâs my last resort.
It may be a foolish thought that canât even be called resort though.
ButâŚ
âFu⌠fufufu. Isnât that interesting, Waka?â (Tomoe)
âRight. Depending on how it is done, it might even become a card to solve our current problemâ (Shiki)
âIf itâs something Waka-sama has decided, I donât have any objections. Also, I think it is stupid to not use the strength we have and just worryâ (Mio)
My family accepted it.
In that case, as Kuzunoha Companyâs Raidou, and also, as the third one to descend to this worldâŚ
Well, the two heroes are in the hyuman side, so it should be fine for one to be behind-the-scenes on the demon race side right, bug Goddess?

Thank you for the chapter
I still don't get it how he lost. So they knew he was using some secret method for goods transportation. It's called a trade secret. You want to know it, pay ME money!
I've been going back and forth with one guy on 127, and the only thing that came up was slander of cooperation with demons and human paranoia.
A fairly large part of the problem Makoto had in 127 was that he couldn't speak the language. This resulted in the Rep being able to easily control the flow of the conversation. To respond to anything that was said to him with any kind of thought required him to spend the time thinking about how he was going to respond then construct the words using magic. While he is doing that the other side is reading his mood and predicting what he is going to say and responded to him before he could complete his magical letters.
If you want to see another example of someone controlling the conversation while Makoto is trying to write what he wants to say go back and read his first meal with Rona. She was completely dominating the conversation and had complete control until Makoto got fed up with it and just started talking with her in Demonic, at that point he gained even ground and was able to eventually gain control with unexpected knowledge. In 127 he couldn't speak to the guy in anything close to a reasonable speed and was unable to gain level ground and ended up being talked down ot the entire time.
For an experiment try having a conversation with someone where they speak and you type and see how well it goes. You will find that the one speaking will be spending a lot of time waiting for you to type out what you want to say and will be able to predict what you are saying when you are only partially done. If you arn't a touch typist it will get even worst.
The think about the conversation with Roan, its that Raido know Ronaâs secret at the time. Furthermore I think the conversation was one that he could have resolved with brute force. If the conversation went south he could have just fought her. Plus Shiki also caught her off guard.
Not that I said he lost, but if you consider the conversation with the Rep he lost because he was lead around by the nose and was unable to advance any of his thoughts in the conversation. The Rep got everything he wanted out of the encounter and Raido got nothing but a scolding. Raidou did gain a lot of information he had wanted to learn (The attitude of the other merchants) but he was unable to advance any of his ideas or thoughts.
He had gone there to try and learn what the issue was and if he could do anything about it, he learned what the issue was but was unable to negotiate at all about how to deal with it. The other side dictated everything.
And that makes him lose how? It's tough being led around by the nose in a conversation, and Makoto really doesn't know how to break the tempo. But that doesn't mean anything. If comparing it to a fight it's like being unable to move and being hit constantly, but not taking any damage since your defense is high. You're not wining for sure, but there's no way to lose.
Being compensated for sharing knowledge is the decent approach, but those guys aren't exactly decent.
They didn't approach Makoto to try and work out a deal that will benefit them both (they could offer to pay him to transport stuff for them). They didn't even come to him and warn him that what he's doing is upsetting a lot of people/the balance, and he should be careful of consequences.
Instead they just outright try to destroy him, while also trying to steal whatever they can.
Despite their "outrage" at his (supposed) dealings with the demon race, they're quick to mention that they're willing to look the other way if he pays them enough, so they don't even have a high moral ground to stand on.
If they really believed that he's dealing with the demons, they'd contact the Church and other authorities instead of the Merchant Guild. It would have been a more efficient approach for them.
I think it's amusing how the Church, an organization representing the bug, is a lot more decent than the Merchant Guild, an organization that one would expect to be more pragmatic and level-headed in how they handle stuff.
I understand this part completely. And the merchants are in for the profit, be it the nice way or not so nice. But he still can come out and say to the representative, since he obviously knows, that there is a secret method and that's it. It's just me putting myself in that situation and examining the info available to makoto, but I wouldn't back down, since they can't hurt him. The world the author built is so that with perseverance makoto could push through, no killing, no sneaking, just out right tiding through this whole mess. Not exactly plot armour, but almost. Slander is bad, more so when it's about cooperation with demons, but he has patrons, and eventually it would work out.
...well, is he really a 16 years old? considering how fast he reflected on his faults and made resolutions on future plans based on the very recent happenings (i doubt it happened more than 2 hours after his defeat), not to mention he didn't sulk or blame anyone else like how "average" 16 years old should be.
anyways at long last the battle against the goddess will begin. took too long to get to this point, really. the first hateful moments was at the goddess' absurd whimsical shits, then he just brushed it off like it was really not a big deal. Makoto, no matter how kind you are, if you're wronged without reason you have the right to retaliate. at least, now, he unleashed his wish to oppose the goddess.
thanks a lot for the chapter!
Point, he is currently 17 or so. I Think he was 16 when he arrived but its been over a year since then.
About the reflecting, he went into the meeting with the intent to learn what others impression of him was. He already had a fairly good idea and probably expected much of what he was told. He purposfully didn't bring any of his followers and has erased his own presence to appear as weak as possible, this resulted in the other side looking down on him a great deal and saying exactly what he was feeling without feeling a need to conceal anything. He didn't think Raido was a threat so the guy said everything he was thinking, if Makoto had brought any of his followers they would have gone from "He has fairly strong followers" to "He is in control of something that can level the city" and the Merchant Rep would have changed the way he spoke and acted to be much more humble.
Makoto was depressed because the attitude and such of the others were much more negative then he was expecting. It made him realize that he had made several missteps though, most of them were forseeable if he had thought about them a little but he was busy training his students and studying everything he could about the world and magic. Since the only merchant he had much interaction with was Rembrant and he considers Makoto a savior of his family his interaction with Makoto was always positive or lowkey. Didn't help that the Rembrant Women often told Makoto to ignore him. Unfortunately Makoto left Tsuie without really learning anything about buisness from Rembrant, this meeting made many things clear about how the merchants behave.
You have 3 person here,, and they are your family.
They will do anything you say, be it kill someone or kneel to someone else (not you)
What will you do? do you still want rampage ? knowing consequence about it? or you want make them happy without kill someone like a human do.
we know that makoto still have a human side inside him. like how he treat mio, shiki, tomoe, and other races.
I guess it's suspension of disbelief since people would hate an MC with the maturity of a 16 year old.
Question about the Asora Gates.
1. Who among The Kuzunoha Company can make/open them?
2. Does it show itself continuously or is it on default cloaking mode until someone uses it?
3. If you destroy a gate in the world's side, will the gate in Asora disappear as well?
4. If Number 2 is the latter, who can detect it?
5. How strong are the gates?
Speculations, GO!!!~
the most definite durability of the gates comes from the moment the 3 people who sneak to asora where makoto kill them with powerfull magic and the gates survive makotos brid once destroy a gate as big as 12 meters (pixel calculation on manga) based on this you need atleast a 0,0003 megaton bombs and don't forget that the gate also survived an attack that tomoe said even dragon can't defense (though many of this is from manga so it maybe not accurate)
alright after re-read the entire novel it's turns out that i'm wrong sorry because when the gate survived raido attack he actually just close it and in the future there are this line
*SPOILER*
"it's really can't be helped that raido is the descendant of the great pope of the church and the similarity is actually quite spot-on"
and then "if it was raido of course he can forcefully re-open sealed doors though it takes time and concentration and even i (the i is secret for another time ;) ) is going have pretty much half of my power just to re-open the sealed door
"hey of course waka-sama is amazing heck his power is so strong he accidently made a lake with his water version of brid"
*SPOILER*
and the 'I' the feat that i could find is actually destroying a quarter of mountain with it is quarter power so aparently destroying asora gate is REALLY FREKING HARD heck the one that can destroy a quarter of power even had a hard time just to change the state of sealed to close
also
the apparently asora gate can be only detected by anyone who had a power, knowlegde, luck as apparently when sealed the gate is "like moving around the world so you almost cannot detect it"
SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH (I"M NOT AN ENGLISH PLEASE UNDERSTAND
@Foyx: That wasn't a mist gate, that was just a simple shrine gate. The mist gates just appear to be mist, nothing more. Before she made the contract with Makoto her gates led to a simple void where Shin could control everything, she only used it to pull people into and beweildr them. They didn't lead anywhere so they were not left open after she finished with her enemy. When Makoto destroyed that gate he did the equivalent of walking up to Shins home and knocking on the front door hard enough to blow it off its hindges.
As for the questions:
1. Tomoe, Mio, Shiki, Makoto, Komoe (How dare all of you forget Komoe)
2. There are 3 stages for the mist gates. Open, Closed, and Sealed. Open gates are freely usable or are currently in use. Closed gates are not usable but they still have a presence if you have the senses or magic to sense them. Sealed gates are completely closed and leave nothing behind. If you want a gate where a sealed one is you need to make another, closed gates have the potential to be reopened if you have enough power and knowledge or luck.
3. Not clear as no one has tried to destroy one, its likely that it would vanish in Asora as well.
4. People that can open the gates can probably sense Closed gates. Its possible that others with power or knowledge could pick them up as well, would suspect that Root could sense them even if s/he can't open them normally.
5. Depends what you mean by "Strong". Tomoe is able to make a gate large enough to consume a village and move the entire thing to Asora so its possible that very large gates could be made. (Raido might be able to erase cities if he felt like it). If you mean to external attacks then its impossible to tell as no one knows of them besides the ones using them, they are very careful to hide the existance of the gates as they don't want the Goddess to come snooping.
1.Makoto Tomoe shiki and Komoe can open the gate. Mio ! i don't know
2.I'm not sure but i think they can't cloak the door it's still open 24/7 in the deep forrest
3.Yes it is
4.i think Mio can do it
5.Mio can broke it(in manga) and also a red ring explosion.
1. Makoto and Tomoe. i don't know if i'm wrong but only 2 of them can open gates to and fro asora. asora is basically Tomoe's original skill, further developed and strengthened by Makoto via their master-slave relationship and Makoto's power so if one doesn't have a direct link to the skill like Makoto he can't open those gates.
2. correct me if i'm wrong, those gates are cloaked, but can be moved. i forget which chapters but there were 3 adventurers snuck into asora and ran away from it. Makoto killed them though.
3. no proof. but since gates can be made easily and seemingly unlimited number can be generated it does not matter, does it?
4. visual confirmation can be verified (refers to answer #2) when a gate opens. so basically everyone can detect it when opened, but even a god cannot detect a closed gate. at least up until this chapter.
5. unconfirmed. assuming the gates' properties being hyperdimensional and a skill of one of the strongest dragons and her mighty master, only those equal to them can damage the gates.
1. Makoto, Mio, Shiki, Tomoe < they all can open the gate. (only shiki still practice)
2. Nope. Makoto bring them to asora because they are hurt from mamonos, and they are running away from asora because they thinking makoto up rising army with demi-human ( tomoe loli also can open the gate )
3. Only the member pact can open the gate ( Makoto= Leader Mio= Servant, Shiki = Servant Tomoe = Servant including her skill mist )
4. No, The gate can be seen by other people but makoto always make sure they (tomoe, mio, shiki) to close the gate after come inside asora (remember the gate also inflict season to asora)
5. If goddess cant detect it, how can a mere dragons can destroy it? (well its bad putting "a mere dragon" )
Nice, Raidou with the demons! For now we didn't see a lot of good things from the hyuman side, especially from the nobles and royalties. We don't know if the demons are any better, but it's worth trying. And it would piss off the goddess, which is great :).
Wooooh
Thank you soooooooooo mush
It's time to move hah?
yaeh
âThatâs right. The birthplace of those girls. Thatâs why I had each of them decide something. If both of them accept, IâŚWill be come a ruler of Kaleneon and then i'll add bout of them in to my harem â (Makoto didn't siad)
since they are accusing him of being part of demon race, might as well make it a reality huh.
Thanks for the fast release :D
i seriously doubt the MC will disappear without a single trace......he may still leave the sub-store in tsige as it is, though i am just hyped and interested in what will happen to the students during and after the finals of the team tournament....i am also interested in what is the question which will make ansland sister that aggitated which will also solve the MC's problem.....
btw: as i am very hyped about the finals.....THANKS FOR THE QUICK CHAPTER ^_^
First, thanks for the chapters, and now you already have my respects...
Has anyone noticed how the Kuzunoha meeting actually covered a large variety of "Raidou Breaks" comments?
Mio represents the guys who just want Makoto to rampage and turn things into a sea of blood, Shiki represents the honest and realistic analysis on their past mistakes, Tomoe represents the people speculating future events with a hint of draconic wrath, Makoto himself represents his bashers and people who hope that he'll mature from the experience.
All in all, I'm proud of both Makoto for his mature response(partly in thanks to the entirely devoted Mio) and the author for creating and dealing with this issue so realistically. Honestly, even though nothing concrete has happened yet, this has definitely washed out the bad taste chapter 127 left in its entirety. The only thing that could have made this better is if Makoto finally tells his followers that he views them as family(though I almost feel like they'll get a yandere-style power boost from it).
Expecting a lot of things from his move to Demon country!
as far as i can remember, makoto already told mio and tomoe that he views them as family... back in the early chapters...
Wait, what? He did?
I only remember him thinking about asking them if they wanted to take the Misumi name, but deciding it was too embarrassing to say out loud.
